Okadu is taken in the backdrop of Hyderabad Charminar old city (here ppl are middle class but not mass they are educated and speaks in mostly hyderabadi hindi) and very popular for class gang fights even today. So they had to show mahesh as class boy and suddenly he had to encounter a mass villian from kurnool which is a surprise elemnent for our audience. Since u ppl have limited knowledge about the charminar backdrop and comedy dialogues couldn't be completely translated in English subtitles you people might feel its not upto the mark. There were many subtle comedy dialogues in the first half in b/w mahesh and father, mother and sister which eventoday if we watch wll make us laugh.
Also the song comes while jeep ride 'sahasam', should know the lyrics meaning also thay beat was like slow injection if u understand the lyrics which slowly brings the tension. I was surprised when tamil ppl are saying that this song is bad. Okkadu is still the most listened album of 90's kids. Infact we didn't like trisha intro song in tamil where as bhumika intro song is sung by girls even today and was very big hit at that time. Both tje movie's are taken as per the hero's image.Mahesh is subtle actor irrespective of critisisms. Rewatched okkadu again and was bliss to just see mahesh on screen.
U too have limited knowledge about the Madurai Dynasty and ruled.the power of kabaddi in south districtsnof TN.and the lyrics of encouraging the value gives a goosebumps while watching.. different patterns of nativity what they want , they gave given.also scenes of movies is already known scenes in old movies, that not much new..if they remake ditto. So what I am saying is that both the movies are made based on their regional perspectives and which are great for their people, and we feel that original is best because we were addicted to that movie and this we find why did they add this much over comedy or why did they changed the theme like where it should be emotional it is made like funny part same like you feel when Tamil film is remade into ours. And please don’t say anytime that we will leave our native places but you won’t. That is because of the circumstances and based on the opportunities from our state even Tamil people I know has their native different but living different places. So every body have their circumstances even we also want to be living in our native place where we have all our family relations and respect from the people, which you can’t find in other places. SO let’s stick to the point of comparison end with the comparison and don’t include all the other unnecessary stuff

2) The charminar scene in the climax is setup beautifully in ghilli this is not good
3) The love of prakash raj towards the heroine is shown perfectly with him not washing himself when the hero pushes him into the mud
and also builds a statue and prays for her and in ghilli this is also not shown
4) The kabbadi match scenes in okkadu is more authentic and serious whereas in ghilli it is like they are playing hop skip.
