Coach didn't create the Moneybacker Marshall...remember Buchanon and Barron made the position famous with the Cardinals, however its been around longer it was just not used as much until these new age slots and TEs started getting real athletic. When James Bettcher was here they bought Bucahanon here to play the money backer cuz he knew how to play it
Moneybacker isn't a new position Marshie, it's a hybrid safety/LB role and has been around since at least 2016, Cardinals were using it back then for guys like Deone Bucannon.
Marsh those are nine solid players on defense it’s only 11 on the field I like what I’m starting to see for the defense at least and letting Simmons Rome or I like to say hunt freely omg he will be wanting a bag after this season I can feel it
Great job, Marshall. I've been very interested in how Bowens plans to utilize Isaiah Simmons. You've clarified that issue. He can handle a dual role. Outside of Dexter Lawrence and Bobby Okereke, Isaiah Simmons might be the most impactful player on Defense. Hope he's part of a primary blitz package.
Strange that CB is the weakest position on the defense (possible the entire team) but you have a DC who loves multiple CB packages which I learned in this video! Anyway great job as always Marsh!
When Simmons was drafted #8 in 2017, If the Giants hadn't drafted Thomas at #4 i had hoped they were going to draft Simmons. So...here we are, we have him anyway
Look at his FF numbers. He's a hitter too. He reminded me a lot of Kam Chancellor at his draft and I think that's how he should be used. Yes he might not be the best tackler but his other talents make up for that(Kam might not be first ballot but he's probably gonna be a HOF guy).
Simmons should be on that front line to me hes better at playing defense end if you want to move him around just keep him on the line defensive tackle or defensive end let that man get after the quarterback that's what he does best
