Very many thanks for this video. I learnt to fly at Coventry in the 1970's.
Coventry is one of the best local UK airports but sadly underused at the moment.

My dad, who started at Dee Howard mopping floors, ended up as a partner in R&D of the whole line of Howard executive piston aircraft. He was chief everything, over maintenance, flight training, Dee's chief pilot (and later Ed Swearingine's chief pilot in a 500), main promoter & salesman for the 500, and he flew Ed to Costa Rica several times a year in his H-500 where I got to go on one trip & "fly" the H-500 in the copilot's seat at about 10 years of age.

Response to it being a 'new everything'. That may be true..depending upon in what bar one hoists his pints. What I mean, is..consider the Boeing B-50. Enough 'changed' to qualify it as a new marque. But, Isn't it still a re-vamped B-29?
extra XX's, and superceded YY's, and google-fazzoodleded this 'n that's. Which brings me to my point.
Let us look at the plan/profile view of the Howard 500..Lockheed to the max! Let's not kid ourselves. If someone quotes a Lockheed marque, are they wrong?
