A 5 block jump in Minecraft is possible. 4 blocks is NOT the longest you can jump. 6 blocks may even be possible. No ice, no speed, no head hitters, just MOMENTUM. Parkour is one of my favorite parts of Minecraft. Parkour games, Parkour races, etc etc

I always knew it was 5, mainly because If I could jump 4 blocks easily, the developers of Minecraft probably made it so you can jump X amount of blocks with perfect pixels. and I have jumped 5 blocks pixel perfect so many times, just to get that out.

A friend I have claims they jumped 6 blocks a couple of times before. I don't believe him but he also said it's about how far you sprint jump before hand, and I've seen his keyboard. That space bar is annihilated.

dream, I've been playing on a bedrock world jumping around and when I recorded my jumps I found not just 5, but a 6 block jump. I tried to look on reddit, google, discord, everywhere. but I haven't seen anywhere that a 6 block jump has been recorded.

I suppose the amount of space you can jump is capped by how much momentum you can get, which would be capped at the 64-bit integer limit right?
I'm a big fan of Stampy I still watch him and I enjoy watching him and Dream using Stampy's parkour as a example at the start but till to this date we cant confirm if a MC player can do a 6 block jump

as far as i know you can`t collect momentum while sprint-jumping because everytime you hit the ground you slow down/you obtain your normal sprinting speed while on ground and only in mid-air you gain speed by falling that 1 block height when you jump

for me to answer this question; it is all about how the game " Minecraft " calculate momentum and the duration or acceleration over " in game " gravity configuration ... but for me if we can create bugs like the infinite tnt and carpets like bruhh there is correlation between speed and horizontal jump distance like that's why some athletes run before a long jump to gain "momentum" yea it is hard if you don't really not studying or making a good use of your parents money for your school's... Dream is a " good student " / the silent type of student you don't wanna mess the guys with eye glasses and top of class or low key
The stackoverflow post said its 5 blocks on a flat surface. Even on the Screenshot dream showed. And only 4 blocks if you also jump 1 block high in the same jump.

Sounds like you're experiencing floating point rounding on the CPU. Some processors round to the nearest valid IEEE float, some floor it, it appears your CPU is doing a ceiling function. Considering java is a virtual processor, I'm not sure if this would be cross platform or not.

The sentence says you can reach 5 blocks, so i think that means that you would land on the 5th block with a four block gap.
It even said "Without jumping, the farthest you can get is 3 blocks" so I agreed with person above me. it mean you will lands on the third block meaning 2 blocks gaps.
