@Josiah Hungerford George's trap was very creative but Dream's trap was actually genius. It took me roughly seconds and a replay to find out wtf just happened at Dream's enderpearl gravel trap.
The trap was good, but 2 blocks wide 1 block deep lava was never going to kill. Too easy to escape with water or literally two cobble. The payload needed to be far greater.

He should have made a gravel trap that had a huge tower and a pressure plate which pulled out, letting the sand/gravel fall. The only counter is by putting something like a torch down

Hey Dream! Under the small chance you see this, there is a trap that actually might be the most OP in the history of this game. When you place upside down slabs, it looks like a floor you can mlg on. But if the player attempts to mlg, the water will be placed inside the slabs rather than on top of them, making a fall damage trap where mlg water is impossible.

Salvaging parts from the jungle temple without Dream knowing, feigning that he hasn't make a trap so that Dream lowers his guards, placing that chest knowing that Dream just can't resist robbing his items, and even talking with Dream nonstop after the swap so that Dream will even be more distracted and open the chest without thinking. All of which are already Dream-grade deception, and if Dream is Minecraft's Hannibal and George is Scipio, THIS would be the Zama moment where the unbeatable legend falls to his foe-apprentice who learns from him a lot through years of battling and losing to him.

It would be interesting, because if there isn't a way of knowing whether or not your getting swapped, and you try jumping into lava, and you don't get swapped, then you end up dying to your own trap. This would also raise the stakes, as each trap would require a safe way out of it, just in case you don't get swapped.

He knew the ender pearl would teleport him after the 1 second countdown, so he threw the ender pearl exactly at 1 second. While he was about to fall into George's lava pit, the ender pearl teleported Dream on the top of Dream's trap. It was pure genius

Later on in the video he did find some diamonds, so he still would have been fine
