Don't want her hollywoodized. But she should get the Oscar. Great selection Sasha.
As much as you want her to not be hollywoodized, I am sure she would beg to differ.

I’m so glad you guys had her on - on her own. She’s a star!
She's absolutely adorable! Clear sense of humility and humbleness. 100% if we don't see an oscar nomination - then it's truly rigged!
I agree she is an excellent actress I know I was with her this is Jim Russell and Jerry Holleman was with me we're going to release our own videos on TH-cam to tell the truth about the movie!
Please subscribe to @Jim Russell borat actor
she is raw talent. Perhaps the next comedic genius ❤️
“My mom cried :(“
*Crowd started laughing*
High five!
They laughed because in fact Maria’s decision going to UK was quite successful, wasn’t it?
I’m here after she got nominated for an Oscar for Borat 2
That’s bonkers and she deserves it
I was incredibly impressed by her performance throughout the entire movie ! I wish her all the best for the future! 😊
Въъъ Миме.. мноу як филм. Браво.
I hope her mom realizes even if she was sad and even if the film wasn’t exactly flattering it was an extremely important one and she did an amazing job 👏🏻 we all know the crookedness of a lot of men in power but it’s amazing to see it exposed and she did that! And her acting is amazing!!
So she went flirty with a man and him being a man tried to have sex with her. You see that as crookedness?
@@1977pawelos Considering she had everyone thinking she was 15 years old, yes.
@@B0RGUS By appearing to be a journalist and looking like she's in her twenties, as she really is?
You think it’s normal for a 76 year celebrity ex-politician to try to have sex with a woman 1/3 his age during an interview?
@@hoover728 I wouldn't say it's normal. I'd say If I was in the similar situation I'd probably wouldn't turn it down so I'm not gonna judge him. She made impression that she wanted it. I don't know who you are, but if you a girl then it's probably pointless to explain you what kind of sexual drive we have to deal with.
She has such a sweet smile!!
She is so brilliantly talented and convincing in the movie. She deserve everything she gets from it.
If Maria Bakalova writes a book about her experience auditioning and filming during Borat I’d buy that book and read it that same day.
She was so funny in the movie. I love how she manages to be very funny in this interview too even though she was clearly nervous. That means she is a natural comedian when even being nervous she manages to entertain. Can't wait to see what she does next, she looks so sweet.
Is...is she still acting? lol
Because she was so natural in that movie I don't even know what reality is now haha
@@Liladelph All that to point out that James Corden is overweight, which we could see for ourselves? Sheesh.
@@Liladelph huh?
She's adorable, not a hint of Hollywood smugness in her, just a sweet person.
She is so real and genuine… usually people go in these shows so prepared.
I can’t imagine anyone else playing that role. She nailed it!
Her: i thought I was going to be human trafficked.
Audience: haha ha
Her: my mom was sad

“Yup. Maybe.”
She’s just as good at duping people as Sacha.
Do not try to trick us gypsy.

Yeah the movie is a total bait-and-switch. You think it's going to be Borat pulling insane things out of unsuspecting people but it's this actress you haven't heard of, I love it
@@ArchibaldClumpy too many people recognize Sacha at this point
Yeah good at inappropriately touching someone to manipulate them into bed. HAHA
Hopefully Hollywood will not waste her tremendous talent on playing Russian villains. She is a breath of fresh air in a stale Hollywood pond.
she has "the accent" so, what do you expect?
@@budalabudo2250 actors with American accent can fake foreign accents and people with accent can play doctors, lawyers and other ordinary people. That's the reality of living in America, a lot of people with different accents occupying different jobs, she doesn't have to be typecast as the Russian villain.
@@andromeda156 if it is so perfect than why would you even ask the question?
@@budalabudo2250 I didn't ask any questions, I just made a statement.
I just saw this film a few days ago and she is amazing. I would have thought she was in comedy troupes and ensembles for years. Very talented.
Sacha Baron Cohen truly struck gold to have discovered this girl, made her comfortable, but she is so on his level to maintain her character for as long as he did.
Can’t wait to see what she does!
You know she is really talented because no one can hold a straight face being next to Borat
she's so spontaneous and adorable! we need more people like her in talk shows.
Maria is just freaking amazing and kudos to James for absolutely supportive and helping troughout the interview!
She's hilarious. Her geeky, disarming and almost comically brutal honesty seems like a great asset to Hollywood in my mind. I hope she doesn't change too much in her carreer because she's brilliant right now 😅😎 Sasha's even more genius for discovering her talent.
Wow she's so beautiful
She's so gorgeous.
She was absolutely brilliant. That movie can't happen without her efforts.
I just finished watching Borat 2. I can say without any reservation that Maria carried 90% of the film.
Can't believe how effortlessly she matched SBC's chaotic energy step for step! Brilliant actress. ❤️
She was nervous but James has that voice that can make his guests feel comfortable
She's such a great actor and the fact that this was her first movie is mindblowing! Her scenes were unbelievably funny, she's going to get really far!
She was amazing in the role. She's going to kill it in the future for sure
Absolutely Legendary this girl is!!
So proud to be Bulgarian, she is amazing..
She was so funny in that 2nd Borat film. I was blown away by her abilities to match Sacha Baron Cohen and all his antics. Her improv skills are incredible. I hope she gets a lot more work moving forward.
The human trafficking comment was not a joke. Look up the movie The Paradise Suite. Another brilliant performance by a young Bulgarian actor. Much more difficult to watch.
Another great movie on the topic is 'Lilya 4 Ever' (extremely tough to watch)

Her ability to act on single takes and spontaneity is something to behold in this day and age.
"The whole flat world!" Funniest line ever!

Bless all the women who ended up in human trafficking.
That's what happens when you shoot a movie with Sacha Baron Cohen you get traumatized to the rest of your life
This girl so naturally hilarious - if she can improve her timing a little, she will seriously be able to bring down the house! lol
She’s incredible at staying in character. That was crazy cool
Just imagine for a second the kind of comedic duo Maria Bakalova and Aubrey Plaza would be
She's perfect!
You can kinda tell that she doesn't have much faith in herself... Its a shame.. She is incredibly talented and a true improv artist! She deserves every bit of success she gets from this.
I think she is just humble :) Confidence doesn't need to be loud and obnoxious! Plus, from Bulgaria, you never expect to go anywhere...
@@sadiemakesmesmile Haha yes indeed, American "intensity" can be very jarring to the rest of the world.
She had just graduated from drama school. This was her big break. It takes time to sink in and begin building confidence from your successes.

Maria is precious. The movie was hard to watch, especially when you know what's coming with the Rudy Giuliani scene, but her performance as Tutar was such a lovely surprise.
