In order for people to be successful (for the most part) they need a strong community around them. Good teachers, good friends, loving family. Those are the people that can be proud of Maria, in my opinion. They had a direct influence and are a direct part of her life. Bogdan from Sliven who has never even met Maria Bakalova, cannot claim to be proud of her. He’s not part of her community. When you become fluent in another language, you don't constantly try to translate your thought from your native language. That's not how language acquisition works. You start thinking in your second language and even your body language changes a bit. But it's cool that you give her a credit for speaking another language.

If he comes back sometime they should have him with prime guests like this and not oldsters just no energy and boring.
