Cool sound effects! Watch the video without any volume and the video seems much different. (Not to be a critic, but sound effects and editing create an illusion of invincibility, along with a cooperative uke [receiver] who isn't even fighting. Fred's MMA fight was much more realistic as to what he can and can't do in a real fight. And yeah, I know MMA isn't everything when it comes to self-defence, but it's more real than choreography.)
In his defense, the MMA fight was something like 12 plus years ago. You can improve significantly in 12 years lol Not saying the dude is a badass now and can pull all this stuff off in a real situation. But I wouldn't want people judging me based off my first boxing fight in 2002. I'll bet this guy would wreck 99% of guys who are not trained in anything out there. In a fight with someone skilled and ready I'll bet he wouldn't try any systema shit and straight box/wrestle to try to save himself.
@@bar8665 Fred has some useful skills that could work under certain situations, but my point was that you shouldn't judge by the "smoke and mirrors" demos presented on a video. Fred might have improved over the years, but demos and fighting require different training. Fred probably realizes that now. It sounds like you understand that as well. I just want others who are looking for effective self-defence to understand that too.
hello. teacher the videos are good. but. I would be good if I made a video of a defense if one is in an assault situation with two armed criminals. How do you get out of that situation. Thank you
Hi Fred, if you want a confrontation behind closed doors, no videos and nothing. You and I. But you have to use the techniques you sell in the videos ... let's see what happens.
C’est la mode.... aller très vite sur des attaques bidons lentes, faire du bruit, faire mal au partenaire.... la plupart des trucs sont irréalistes car irréalisables ds la rue. Complexité technique bien trop importante
Notice a lot of the systema stuff is from positions where things are normal between two people and then shit pops off. The goal is to get off first. It's like a sucker punch but different ways to "sucker attack" if you will. Techniques where the other person is not in a fighting stance etc and may not be ready significantly increases the chance of effectiveness. The catching punches in the air stuff etc is total BS and a waste of time. But if you work in law enforcement, as a bouncer etc. you may often be in situations where you can't start pounding on a dudes face but need to get physical with pressure point stuff first and retaliate with the heavy real stuff if they escalate it.

Theses technics might work on an inexperienced fighter but with a real fighter I think this gonna be bullshit

Techniques work only on seminars like this, where the students act like puppets. In real life scenarios u would get ur ass kicked.
