It only feels right to celebrate Mammoth Club’s first anniversary by having a vicarious Genie+ Magic Kingdom day. Adult me has fallen in love with Epcot and AK, but MK will always be classic Disney to me
I haven't been since 2017. So I haven't seen toy story land, galaxies edge, Guardians, Tron. Remmie. I probably won't be able to go before TIANA'S BAYOU Opens. That ride will make me feel RIGHT AT HOME since I live in NOLA
We live near DL and Epcot is always our fave but Tron added a lot and we had a great time at MK this summer. I would not do MK without genie + And no Disney without mammoth club.
I just wanted to take the time to say "Thank you" for this set of videos. My family took a trip to the parks a few weeks ago and got Genie+ for all parks except Animal Kingdom. While I initially balked at spending the extra money, using your tips really helped maximize how much we could get done. When most rides had 30+ minute waits, and with two younger kids who would not handle waiting in line in the heat of Florida summer, it was definitely worth the added cost to us. These videos were a godsend and helped us quickly get up to terms with the current iteration of Genie+, which meant more time for getting on rides and meeting characters which my kids greatly appreciated. 'Fiddle faddle' was definitely one of our most used phrases during our time in the parks, haha.
It’s so interesting.. last September I went to Orlando for the first time. Mostly to visit Universal but I wanted to visit MK for a day. I did purchase Genie +. When I returned home I realized I only had 2 pictures at MK and dozens at Universal. I finally realized why… I was on my phone the entire time at MK. Walking, in lines and on rides trying to book the next attraction or mobile order food. I zigzagged all over the place and that wasn’t fun. If I go back I’m not purchasing that again.
I agree.... my phone died in Hollywood studios and that meant I had to spend about 30 minutes searching for a Fuel Rod station (there is one in the camera shop near the entrance should you ever need it) and buy the fuel rod then get back to Tower of Terror to tap in and then book the next ride. Definitely better at Universal.
@@Tinable we got it yesterday and used it quite a bit. IMO, it's overly confusing but more useful than not. I would've been lost without watching several videos about it.
A character video would be amazing including character meals. Maybe the best snacks or meals at each land or park. Who gets to ride the most rides at each park for a little competition. Thank you all for your dedication and taking time to meet your fans at the parks when you are not recording. ❤
I definitely need a character video. As a Disney Adult who loves the characters but especially character dining I feel like we need a true homage to all things Disney Character, but especially Goofy. (I can neither confirm or deny my character bias. 😉Pay no attention to my user name 😂)
I watch as I love all your videos. I am ever so grateful that my 2 grown sons and I had our first magical time at Disney World in September of 2019! With all the changes and now being on your phone so much of the time trying to figure everything out... I have no desire to return. The experience is being "present" for your magical time - not being on the phone constantly.

We just visited Disney last week, and the Genie was worth it in MK for my daughter and I. We used Lightening Lane on 10 rides- walk on to 5 minute waits. It’s especially worth it if you’re purchasing for less people. We were totally fine Not buying Genie for EPCOT because there’s not many rides to use it in. The most we waited for any ride was 30minutes for Remy & Frozen (had virtual queue for Guardians and did single rider for Test Track). Even with it being summer, crowds weren’t bad. Maybe it’s the extreme heat and high costs? Anyways, I’ve only found Genie Plus helpful at MK or maybe during busiest times of year (Christmas, Spring Break, July 4th). I would love to see the calculations factor in the time saved on the max wait in that day or the average day, as it’s sometimes being compared against a lower standby wait time. I think this is still a great series!!

This is SUPER helpful! I will definitely purchase Genie Plus! I live in Cali and I haven’t been to Disneyland since 2010, and they only Fast Pass and I only used that for one ride. The rest of the time I just took my chances in line, and back in the day, that’s the only thing you could do!

We watched the parade twice. Once in Frontierland we walked up right as the parade started and had a perfect view then on Main Street again we stood behind people sitting down. Definitely didn't feel like we needed a Lightning Lane or to wait around for it to start
Does your phone ever overheat? I also have trouble just seeing my phone during the day outside. I did just buy an umbrella covering for the phone that I will try out in September. But I was wondering if you or others had this problem.
Confirmed my thoughts on the matter for our next 4-park trip. Doing ILL for Flight of Passage at AK combined with a later in the day arrival, and Genie+ everywhere else. Enchanted Tales is a high priority (it wasn't back when we were last at DW), so we'll prob get a LL for that and then do it standby as well if my kids are as enamored with it as I think they will be! SUPER helpful, thanks Molly!

You almost need a college degree to figure out your day at Disney. Don’t think I would want to be tied to my phone all day. It all sounds to complicated. Thanks for all you do.
The last time I went to Disney was in 2019. I don't understand this change other than for $$$$ reasons. Frankly, Fast pass looks far simpler than this. I was on my phone far less with fast pass as well. Sounds like with this you're glued to it 24/7 and that yanks literally *all* fun out of the parks. Genie and Genie + is the beginning of the end imo. If Iger can just ditch it for a revised fast pass in the same vein as idk, Universal's package (or even better, just go back to the old fast pass method from before COVID), then things will improve *drastically*

I think EPCOT is good to use genie on a Park hop day and stack the LLs for an evening at Epcot (like DAK during the day, just get one or two LL then stack for Epcot )
Molly you should buy the park hopper one and see how many rides you get on with 2 parks. I've noticed that every day the MK genie ans park hopper genie cost the same. I'd love to compare how many you got done at MK vs park hopper.
I love all your advice! I used a lot of it on our trip a few weeks ago. Hoping to someday run into you at the parks. I think a character video would be great! I agree that how you talk to the characters even as an adult can make all the difference. One of my favorite moments on my last trip with just my husband was Tigger photo bombing our picture with Pooh at Crystal Palace.
We always Gennie+ with park hopper. Rope drop a park while stacking evening rides at another park. Take a lunch break at the hotel pool and then hit all the stacked rides.
Very informative thanks for all info. That was exhausting. We’re doing universal this year instead of Disney. I don’t know if I’ll be doing the Genie+ thing when we return.
The buzz lightyear ride is a must ride at least 20 times with my young son. I think when we rode it in Disneyland this year, we totaled around 50 rides.
We so appreciate these kinds of videos! Thank you for doing this! We were there in May and that was our learning curve of genie plus. Took us a couple days to get the hang of it. We will be there the week after thanksgiving and now feel confident to rock this genie plus! Challenge excepted! I am always up to a good challenge lol! I was wondering that as well and whether or not you can be as flexible with a party of four. Love the advice on not running around the park since our kids are young and wouldn’t be able to handle that!
I think it's good to know that you don't need genie + to book "fancy rides". Personally, I don't mind waiting in line if I actually want to go on a ride, but I'll never wait 4 hours even for the newest rides.
I really like these videos on genie plus. If I'm going to buy genie plus it's so that I don't need to criss-cross the park. Without genie I can normally do everything with criss-crossing and watching wait times.
At some point we will pay to enter and then genie + the rides iLL. This isn’t just a Disney pricing thing tho. I have paid almost 800 for 3 days at universal for 2 people during peak with their fast pass (whatever it’s called lol). If you like these kinds of things it’s what you budget for just how it is and how it’s going. I’ll still go to both for now. :)

We watched the parade twice. Once in Frontierland we walked up right as the parade started and had a perfect view then on Main Street again we stood behind people sitting down. Definitely didn't feel like we needed a Lightning Lane or to wait around for it to start

Does your phone ever overheat? I also have trouble just seeing my phone during the day outside. I did just buy an umbrella covering for the phone that I will try out in September. But I was wondering if you or others had this problem.

Confirmed my thoughts on the matter for our next 4-park trip. Doing ILL for Flight of Passage at AK combined with a later in the day arrival, and Genie+ everywhere else. Enchanted Tales is a high priority (it wasn't back when we were last at DW), so we'll prob get a LL for that and then do it standby as well if my kids are as enamored with it as I think they will be! SUPER helpful, thanks Molly!

You almost need a college degree to figure out your day at Disney. Don’t think I would want to be tied to my phone all day. It all sounds to complicated. Thanks for all you do.
The last time I went to Disney was in 2019. I don't understand this change other than for $$$$ reasons. Frankly, Fast pass looks far simpler than this. I was on my phone far less with fast pass as well. Sounds like with this you're glued to it 24/7 and that yanks literally *all* fun out of the parks.
Genie and Genie + is the beginning of the end imo. If Iger can just ditch it for a revised fast pass in the same vein as idk, Universal's package (or even better, just go back to the old fast pass method from before COVID), then things will improve *drastically*

I think EPCOT is good to use genie on a Park hop day and stack the LLs for an evening at Epcot (like DAK during the day, just get one or two LL then stack for Epcot )
Molly you should buy the park hopper one and see how many rides you get on with 2 parks. I've noticed that every day the MK genie ans park hopper genie cost the same. I'd love to compare how many you got done at MK vs park hopper.

I love all your advice! I used a lot of it on our trip a few weeks ago. Hoping to someday run into you at the parks. I think a character video would be great! I agree that how you talk to the characters even as an adult can make all the difference. One of my favorite moments on my last trip with just my husband was Tigger photo bombing our picture with Pooh at Crystal Palace.
We always Gennie+ with park hopper. Rope drop a park while stacking evening rides at another park. Take a lunch break at the hotel pool and then hit all the stacked rides.
This videos were so helpful in planning our parks last time. Will be using Genie again for MK and HS, and not for Epcot or AK.

The buzz lightyear ride is a must ride at least 20 times with my young son. I think when we rode it in Disneyland this year, we totaled around 50 rides.

We so appreciate these kinds of videos! Thank you for doing this! We were there in May and that was our learning curve of genie plus. Took us a couple days to get the hang of it. We will be there the week after thanksgiving and now feel confident to rock this genie plus! Challenge excepted! I am always up to a good challenge lol! Yes please to a character video! Any chance of a Genie+ with park hopping video with 4-6 guests? I do think a larger party size significantly impacts your ability to fiddle faddle. Would love for Mammoth Club to put it to the test!
I was wondering that as well and whether or not you can be as flexible with a party of four. Love the advice on not running around the park since our kids are young and wouldn’t be able to handle that!
Epcot has 2 fancy rides also, cosmic rewind and frozen.
Frozen Ever After is not a fancy ride, it’s part of Genie+.
I think it's good to know that you don't need genie + to book "fancy rides". Personally, I don't mind waiting in line if I actually want to go on a ride, but I'll never wait 4 hours even for the newest rides.
I really like these videos on genie plus. If I'm going to buy genie plus it's so that I don't need to criss-cross the park. Without genie I can normally do everything with criss-crossing and watching wait times.

At some point we will pay to enter and then genie + the rides iLL. This isn’t just a Disney pricing thing tho. I have paid almost 800 for 3 days at universal for 2 people during peak with their fast pass (whatever it’s called lol). If you like these kinds of things it’s what you budget for just how it is and how it’s going. I’ll still go to both for now. :)
