Not a bad solution. It looks tidier overall. You can get a pretty decent result with rattle cans if you take your time and finish it properly. Like if you wet sand down the orange peel and prep it for a few coats of clear, then buff and polish that once cured. Apply a couple layers of wax, It will look pretty nice and hold up for a while. If you don't clear over the rattle can paint can start flaking and fading after a year or so and you'll need to redo it, so it can be worth taking the time to do the extra steps if you're looking for longevity.

You can make spray paint look good 100% it’s just harder. Good surface prep is key aswell as good clear is even which is even more important. Wet sanding after a few layer of paint then clear coat, more wet sanding, then a cut and polish a few weeks after baking in the sun. Will come out fkn clear I promise you.

Okay so, literally, clay the car, wash it down, sand it down and slowly starting upping the grit level until you get to 800 grit on the whole part you’re gonna be painting, then primer it so the paint stays, then you paint the car, and do a few more coats than just 2, that’s how you get a better finish than that orange peel, and also, clear coat your paint or else it won’t have that gloss look you wanted on the yellow car
def redo the paint but u would get a better result if you wet sanded the new paint with some high grit sandpaper and then clear coated it and sanded that again with some high grit but I get it cheap until the real respray
