"Now you want to save his life"
And maggie says "its different now"
Armstrong is trying to play both sides - help Maggie and Negan and stay in the good graces of his strict community. Sadly, it's not gonna go the way he wants it to.
There's no way Armstrong's family makes it out of this season alive, especially with Perlie turning his back on the Marshalls to help Maggie. They are not gonna take him lying about Negan's fate very well I feel.
Armstrong's character arc so far has been great!
Armstrong is going to be a REALLY important character this season. Idk I just get that feeling from the teaser and what the actors have said.
Calling it now - Maggie & Armstrong will eventually get together romantically. Not this season though, of course, that would be way too soon. His family is obviously gonna die as a result of his actions, this is TWD, happy endings are very rare. His leader didn't mention his family like that for no reason. Also it would make the Neggie shippers mad lol
Maybe Hershel goes with Perlie to New York to save Negan without Maggie's permission? We did see them together in that teaser a little while ago.
I can't wait to see more of this duo!
He'll convince Negan to leave the Dama somehow.
I really hope this season a step up from the previous one, even though I still liked it, it can be better.
Collider.com posted some editorialized stuff from SDCC yesterday about DEAD CITY S2 - Gimple was also involved via. phone since he's out for the count with Covid, I guess.
They framed S2 as a "reset" - with S1 being described as a "reset" from the main series.. and I'll be honest - the word "reset" makes me, if not outright nervous - then a little apprehensive.
To me.. the big downfall of DEAD CITY thus far is that there doesnt really seem to be a through-line in terms of story.. you dont "reset" things twice if there arent some writers room struggles on where to take things.. I'd hoped they'd mapped out the story more before they greenlit the shows first season, but it doesnt really appear to be the case right now.
Bottomline is.. I'm still hoping for a stronger core-story to all of this besides back/forth of the proverbial "will they/wont they" - whether that means kill each other, save each other, etc.
Dont get me wrong.. I'm glad they're doing it, and I'll gladly watch whatever they throw my way - but it is a little disheartening to claim two "resets" within 2 seasons - granted, one of whom hasnt aired yet.
Series recommendelation - "From" its on MGM+. Amazing horror series
Dan I can see this happing and I would like to ask if you see this happing as well do you think that Herschel tells Maggie that she needs to let go of her hatred for Negan and maybe that Maggie slowly not officially but slowly understands how her hatred for Negan is getting to her head and his affecting Herschel as well and that when Armstrong tells Maggie that Negan saved him in the finale and that he lied to his boss about killing Negan do you see that is when Maggie officially understands in that moment that she has to go back to Manhattan to save him and she asks Armstrong to come back with her to Manhattan to help her save Negan

It all really sounds logical to me. I think they are going to expand Armstrong's roll for sure and he will ally with Maggie at some point. I hope at some point in this show they bring back Annie & Negan's son. I think that is needed.
IF they do an endgame type series bringing all the shows together, the only thing that l can see is Genet releasing tons of variants the US. Rick Teams back up with the CRM (now good guys) plus the NY gangs all fighting against Genet and the variants. It’s pretty much my original theory before TOWL aired…. lol (of course l had a whole different theory before TOWL ended) 💯💯🔥🔥
