Update 3 years after the video: My Sony WF-1000XM3 earbuds now have way shorter battery life. I recently brought wired earphones on the plane and even without Active Noise Cancelling, the sound isolation from a good sealing tip was able to block out much noise. Going forward, I will not be bringing bulky wireless headphones on flights.

Great points Teoh-use wired at home and wireless on the go. Also if and when your wireless phones die u have a back-up. As for comfortability-I have a wireless pair that has a wired circle that comfortably goes around the ear thus keeping them in your ear as opposed to them falling out.

    Wireless cons:
    a. You have to charge them everytime
    b. Having your mobile or laptop bluetooth on constantly drains battery faster.
    c. After so many charges, the wireless stop holding the charge, so you will need a new one in a year or 3 unless you know how to remove the battery or have money to throw away.
    d. Sounds horrible no matter how good the driver
    e. To travel, you have to pack an extra item which is the charging case with you and a CABLE to charge the case.
    f. Pairing to bluetooth takes 5 to 30 seconds or even longer if the wireless was turned off completely.
    g. you can't listen to radio since there is no cable for the antennae.
    h. Very expensive for mediocre sounds.
    Wired cons:
    a. It's not wireless (thank God)

@@corenchiereynaldo2417 Dude chill out, I was just making a pointy you don't have ti be so agressive, I do agree that wired earphones are better, but the fact that wireless earphones are better for working out, agruably for just walking around, basically for activities that you have to be a little farther away from your music playing device or doing an activity where wires can limit you, it can be a huge selling point for some people. But really they are a little too expensive for what they are capable of and these wireless earphones stop working way too fast. Wired earphones last a lot longer.

Bluetooth earbuds are more convenient until about 1 or 2 years when they die completely. I love my airpod pros, but I kinda regret buying them. It's only been a year and they're already starting to die faster. I don't want to replace earbuds every one or two years. I bought my AKG K240s 10 years ago and they still look like new and work great.

2 years is a long estimate too. I typically buy cheaper than airpods, in the $35-100 range, but still, the speakers tend to blow out. Losing one of them is a big factor. On most of my wireless earbuds I've owned, I've long one of them. The world today has made insane improvements on wired earbuds, or IEMs, its incredible. Just made the switch back to wired.

It's not just a matter of codecs and other numbers.
Wired earphones provide more energy and power.
Excitement is not the same as well as details and spectrum.
I say this although I use tws too, only ones that support LDAC.
Resolution is nice but energy, power, closeness to the sound aren't the same as wired earphones.
When you listen to really nice sound using wired earphones, you'll realize there are many things out of reach by tws. Physical connection is powerful.

I usually find a way to afford the samsung flagship models. But when they removed the jack, I started to hate on them. Then I decided to just buy the cheapest phone with decent performance. My phone for the past year is the Xiaomi Poco F3, which is still going strong. And I bought it sale for $290 last September 2021. It doesn't have the jack, but who cares? It's cheap relative to its performance.

Can you explain to me how the world works. I appreciate your honesty and would like to hear a more philosophical take out of you
In fact as i was typing this i was imagining you were debating some great metaphysical choice, represented by the earbuds and cord on one side and the wireless earbuds on the other. The volume turned down for some reason and your spiritual guidance helped, represented abstractly and imaginatively by the different styles of earbuds. I don't know if this means anything to anyone metaphysically, metaphorically or literally in actual earbud land, but if you swallow your earbuds for some reason you stand a greater chance at retrieving a pair that has cords, just sayin.
    P. S. I actually came here for earbud advice which i will now rewatch your video to see.
And one final question... if i move to cordless earbuds what will fill the void in my life of utterly senseless mind- bogglingly enraging and downright impossible to fathom how it happened tangle of earbud's cords that will knot themselves within a nanosecond of being in a pocket. This is a valuable part of my day and i cant imagine relaxing without having my earbuds fall out ,the jack fall out or having to untangle what i just untangled three times in five mins.

In my opinion, wireless is better. They don't tangle up and you can put them in a case anytime you put them away and you have them charged for your next use, better than having them pulled out by anything due to those GOSH DARN WIRES! (I used to use wired and upgraded to wireless so I know what I am talking about)

well.. but at home wired is a nice choice to have, especially most wired even some of the cheap ones has great sound quality, if you only using earphone for music or watching videos only wireless is good and easy to bring anywhere, but with wired its not just only good for music, or videos but also games, I have used wireless headphones once and when playing vids or music its fine, but then when trying to play a game, the sound out of sync, this is why I prefer wired, yes it can get tangled everywhere but the sound quality is really nice especially for its cheap price, not just for watching, or listening music, its also good for gaming.

I gained freedom in exercising, moving through any space, doing any kind of, well, anything, commuting without anybody accidentaly pulling my wires... Bluetooth are so much convenient it is not really a comparisson. Regarding the sound, the producers are putting better and better drivers inside wireless phones, so you can buy one with a really good sound quality (unless you are hard core audiophile). Why do bluetooth headphones have less power? Less.bass and highs. They are not as loud. Does it have to do with BLUETOOTH it self. Meaning that all bluetooth headphones have a governor on the in my opinion. I think bluetooth itself is liable for hearing damage. That's the only thing that makes sence to me. Because it doesnt matter how much u spend on bluetooth headphones,..they always come up short vs. wired, and the tech has been there for a long time to get on par. They just won't say anything because that would kill sales. When it comes to sound in wireless, we have been getting ripped off, in my opinion.
