    Nice review! I'm from the UK and Elemis is super well known over here. It is very expensive but if used properly and regularly it is WELL worth the money. My advice to anyone who happens to read, start anti ageing skin care in your 20's, that when you need it to lay the ground work for stopping those signs of ageing. Unfortunatly we tend to not think about this till we're in our 30s and already have fine lines appearing. Anti ageing products can't undo 3 decades of wear and tear sadly, they can lighten the effects, but most people tend to think they can undo wrinkles and that's sadly not the case. You CAN get filler that will get rid of those already there wrinkles, but the skin care products are more to stop it happening in the first place. My partners mum gives me a lot of Elemis and my god their products are just stunning and really make a huge difference to your skin. The thing about most drugstore brands is that the ingredients are not great. They will have things in them that in the short term react well but long term will leave very bad effects, and also the anti ageing ingredients are in such low quantities that its comparable to to a drop in the ocean. Elemis are expensive for a reason, and we can see that by looking at their ingredients and the quantity and percentage of each. If you want a quick fix, then i would say defo look into getting filler, but if you want to have truly healthy skin and lay the work to stay looking youthful, hydrated and plump into your 50's 60's and beyond (a family member who is 65 and has used elemis for many years literally looks 30 from how glowy and plump her skin is) then yes, i would reccommend Elemis.

      We also need to normalize men using skin care products. I am a 26 year old man and I have been using vitamin c/a creams and spf creams in the summer since I was 22. For some weird, twisted reason, men think that is a strictly feminine thing to do, and I have literally been called gay by my boss when he asked how I get my skin looking so clear. My girlfriend loves that I do it, however. Why does wanting to take care of my face skin determine my sexuality.

    • @GoblinPrincessKyo
      @GoblinPrincessKyo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Theultrazombiekiller That's horrible :( i'm so sorry you had to go through that. It's pretty normal where I am for guys to use skincare; every guy i know uses skincare and happily swap tips. Theres lots of ads and campaigns for mens skincare around towns and men make up about 40% of appointments at my friends sisters beauty salon for skin treatments. So I hope that all gives you a bit of hope that the standard is changing and hopefully it will change where you live soon enough.

      It's because she uses a beauty filter in her videos. Look closely- sometimes the filter doesn't recognize the face scheme and you can see her real skin texture. Would prefer without filter.

    • @theMelissaJoyce
      @theMelissaJoyce  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's unfortunate my camera does that and I do try to zoom in to show my skin without the filter. I think I've found a way to turn off that feature in more recent videos. When I have "face finder" turned on the camera stays focused on me... but it blurs.

    Use Elemis when you find it on sale or when you receive it in a subscription box. That's how I use it.

    I notice when using this product that I don't need to use as much for coverage. So it last alot longer, which makes the cost worth it. It is more expensive then drugstore, but with it lasting longer, and how it makes my skin look and feel. It's worth it. I've noticed the difference in my skin.. LOVE IT

      I'm so glad it works so well for you Connie and you are right that a little goes a long way. It just shows how different all of our skin needs are and that products work different for everyone!

    I like this cream and i use it every now and then, but with that said, i paid 95€ per 30 ML (the travel size) and i am more willing to pay 100€ for the Skinceuticals Triple Restore 50 ML. And i also use Cerave normal daily moisturizer, which retails at about 14/15€ per 50 ML. Is not fancy, that's clear, but it does the job. Very nice and honest review, great job. Lots of love from Italy 🇮🇹

      I think good skincare can be expensive but doesn’t have to be. Especially if you don’t have major skin concerns.

    I also received this in my Ipsy box. I am 44 and have been getting beauty boxes for many years. I have been through many anti-aging products. Elemis has been sent to me many times, in many different products. Being completely honest, I have not been impressed by ANYTHING I have gotten. Their gel eye cream that I last got, I believe it was of the same product line, I ended up throwing out after my second use. It didn't absorb and flaked. I have found that this company may have a great background and provide to charity. However, the results of this product use
    speaks for itself. There is no more benefit of skincare to
    using Elemis then using drug store products. With the ingredients in this, the price it OUTRAGEOUS. Even the packaging is made of inexpensive plastic. So where is all that you spend being placed into the product? The truth is, it's not. You are simply paying for name and name alone. But great review! I enjoyed your video.

    You say it does not have fragrance. But look at the ingredients list and it does in deep contain fragrance "perfume". So please be on the look out if you are like me and sensitive to fragrance.

    I just use the sample saize and it last me 1 month. I would not pay this much on a cream however I brought cremedel mer and i soend 400 pounda amd it didnt nothing to my skin so i returned it. I use the samples sizes and thats better to know if the product works. Claudeli has a great serum which much is better. Its for very old wrinkle skin skon thats damaged they can see a difference. But ur review was honest and good. You dont need this cream ur skin is already fantastic without this cream. Have a lovely day

    My first time watching you Melissa and it was because of your subject matter. I find the Elemis products to be incredibly expensive, especially as a fellow Canadian. It is almost impossible to get unless you buy from TSC. I have a few Elemis products in very small sizes and really like their products but too pricey now that I’m retired. I was introduced to them when having a spa treatment when cruising. I’ve been wanting to try the moisturizer that you featured but can’t justify it.

    Its takes about year before your wrinkles started to look more smoother and some even disappear. Sorry for my English. I am using the lifeextension products and after 8 months i saw results, very good results, many wrinkles lines are disappear. So i want to try elemis for a year and will see what happens 😉

    Hello, enjoyed your video. I started using this moisturizer just recently. I like it, a little goes a long way. If I use too much , my face feels sticky. I like adding just a little bit of foundation to it, which is enough coverage for me. Would I purchase it again? I am not sure. Let's see what results I will see, once I used the entire product.

    I got a free sample with a magazine and thought what the heck, let's try this. Wow, my skin feels so much better, I love it. Typical though that I look it up and it's expensive haha but I think I will invest. After all, if you buy cheap products you get cheap results.

    Guys, miracle skincare DOES NOT exist. You need to use a product for months, maybe years to see a noticeable difference. And, like someone else here in the comment section said, your wrinkles and fine lines won’t disappear. It is called “ANTI-aging”, it is prevention. If the “damage” is already there, the only thing that will revert it are fillers. Your skincare will only prevent it from getting worse in the future. You will see a change in the texture, touch etc. But this will come with time...

    Umm I had to back it up when you said 40.. I thought I had young looking skin for 32 but you make me feel old girl! 😆 Awesome video, very honest and what I was looking for. Good on you for doing as much research as possible. I'd love to try it but toooo expensive! Maybe I'll check eBay for some liquidation sales or something! Looks lovely!
