    really easy to follow video regarding the chemicals. Mine is a little cloudy and PH low so will add the plus and see how I get on. Should I shock treat it weekly or just add the tablets as I have been doing. thanks for the great video

    • @mgtracey
      @mgtracey  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you rinse out the filter thoroughly each day and top up the chemicals, you shouldn’t need to shock it, and it should clear if the water stays murky. Then it probably is time to change the water and blitz in a little bit with chlorine.

    • @mgtracey

      You can you’d have to use a separate electric pump to blow it up because the main pump is connected to the bubbles

      @georgeburchett5798 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gmanhi5 yes you can add air or more inflation without draining. You should just plug both the filter and inlet holes from inside the tub, with the parts/plugs that came with the hot tub. Then you can disconnect the pump and attach the air hose just like when you first inflated it. Also if you search utube there is videos on this procedure.

      Either the skimmer if you have one of the cap of the water in feed has slow release chlorine tables in which last about a week . If pool used a lot you may need to add extra chlorine- Paul

      and anoother question is,... do you put the cover all the time after putting the chlorine and the other chemicals? or should i leave it uncover? for example if i have to leave home 3 days, should i leave it covered or uncovered? (off course leaving it on without the bubbles)

    • @mgtracey

      It should go clear almost immediately. If not change of clean the filter. If The filter is really dirty clean and reuse if the filter is clean and the water is still murky then you need to empty and completely refill the hot tub.

    • @mgtracey
      @mgtracey  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the bootom or the sides of your hot tub feel slippery and slimy to the touch. Algae is in the hot tub, perhpas at some point the pH levels in the water were imbalanced or when not enough sanitization chemicals, such as bromine or chlorine, have been added. Try a blitz of extra chlorine granuals, don't use for a day. Levae lid off for an hour before getting in. If still slippery unfornately you need to empty and refill im afraid. Paul

    Out of interest how often do you use the hot tub? I’ve noticed I used it for 2 days and filling and heating first time I’ve calculated it I was to use it every other day and keep heating steady it’s around £5 per day. I think it’s safe to say my bills are easily going to be an extra £100 a month is this how much you pay extra? It’s a nightmare with the stupid energy companies ripping us off but I love using my hot tub.

    • @mgtracey
      @mgtracey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If not used regular let temp drop to 25 them set to 40 four hours before you use this will reduce costs . I think we may all need solar panels soon !

    • @Cruiseblackpool
      @Cruiseblackpool 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mgtracey thanks and yes I was looking into this as an option. Have you seen solar panels on Amazon that could power just a hot tub? A total house powered by solar would be amazing and a great sod you to the governments total blundering of the energy crisis and allowing billions of pounds in profit by energy companies doing nothing about it. OFGEM are equally as corrupt and useless. Any solar setups you been looking at let us know thank you.

    • @andycoffer
      @andycoffer 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I got a solar set up. the spa will not work with it, i think it's the GFI plug. So I got a bucket water heater, that can run in the solar battery bank. It's hard finding info of what to do or not do with solar out there, good luck!
