@@hihungryimdadlol2650 well he has to deal with alot, so there would be no point of this channel if she was normal. he still would be a great dad no matter what
Abbie is such a comidean. Loved when she just came out of the room, when u guys said lets clean, then went back in her room, loved when she just came out of the room when the pop song came, grabbed it, then went back. Maybe all the house room should be sensory so she could come out more easily.
May I suggest the possibility Abbie might enjoy learning signs by watching music with signing videos? I'm autistic and verbal but I enjoy the stim of sign language singing and want to learn to sign. I wonder if singing along might be a huge motivator for Abbie? Music is life lol
Every time Abbie starts signing like a boss I think back to that notorious comment about not having desire to communicate. Keep proving them wrong girl!
Aww she’s just being a regular teenager who likes to stay in her room and wants some privacy.I love the way Abbie came out of her room when she heard the music and grabbed it.
“You can tell by the hair...” Isn’t it the truth! Some days when I walk my little girl students to meet their parents, a parent will say, “How was her.... oh, never mind. I see the hair.” 😂
I've been watching your channel for quite a long time now. I enjoy every video you create. However, this video is one of my favorites. It was hysterical...especially how you went about luring Abbie out of her room. 😂 And there was great closeup footage of Abbie when you were telling her that pizza was for dinner. She had such great eye contact with you. You could see her thinking about every word you said, and more importantly, understanding every word (even though she clearly did not want to wait for the pizza to be ready). It warms my heart immensely with how well Abbie is doing in life. That's the sign of great parenting. Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us.
Fun vlog!!! Yeah, it was around 12 or 13 that my kids all became “cellar dwellers” ( their bedrooms were in the basement ) and it took heroic efforts to get them upstairs
I’m so glad I’ve found your channel ! My son was just diagnosed recently and it’s such a learning experience for both my son and I . He will be 3 in November and is nonverbal. It’s been rough but coming across your channel has helped a lot ! Thank you for sharing your life with us 😊
You guys are so sweet and genuine and so down to earth. Love the channel and I swear momma Priscilla’s voice should be on a calming cd or something I just wanna hug her for hours ❤️ she emits such a loving and calming vibe I love it.
Sharon Bill it's hard but you have to set boundaries with ASD children. My daughter is 15 and she is high functioning now but not so much when she was younger. Autism kids CAN BE taught but you have to be firm and consistent. Even kids with severe autism like Abby know how to push boundaries. They aren't stupid. If dad says they are having one thing and she demands something else and he gives in, it makes it that much harder to reinforce boundaries and that's what leads to tantrums and meltdowns. Dad did the right thing.
this is just a music suggestion for Abbie it's a boy band called Why Don't We, I think she'll like it. I don't know if she would like it but if she does thats amazing.
I’m new to the channel and I wanted to share my opinion I think Abbie is one of the most beautiful and talented girls I have seen and I’m so glad to see she has amazing parents you guys are amazing and I can’t wait to watch more of your channel!
The way Abbie went into her bedroom when you said it was time to clean was really fun. I'm almost done binge-watching you videos. Been watching them for about 1 1/2 months and love the way you guys are with Abbie. Isaiah is such a great brother and a very caring person.
the lights flashing... you may not SEE them flashing in real life but they are in fact flashing, so fast that most of us can't see it. but some people do see it and it can be a major sensory issue and cause anxiety and mental exhaustion... so keep an eye on that. (it's the same with halogen lighting at Wal-Mart and places like that... for some people it bothers them even though they can't actually see the flickering
Really makes you wonder...if she had a bad headache, cramps, growing pains..and you can't just tell your parents, how frustrating that must be for her. She is so sweet though and communicates very well with you guys. Dad you are awesome. Ive done respite with autistic kids/teen/young adult for a long time and I must say, you guys are so awesome with communication, rules, behavioral issues, and love. Subscribed for sure. ❤ you guys.
She is so adorable. Her cheeky grin when she wanted you to open the fridge and get the Chinese out. Honestly amazing parenting and brothering from you guys! Love from the 🇬🇧 UK X
It's not just Abbie that eats pizza like that I have a friend that is 55 years old eats pizza the same way and she's a very normal person well most of the time...lol
I love this!!! You are just like our family we treat our daughter no differently. It’s great how you laugh and have fun. A lot of people forget about that.
She does some ASL. Some of the signs have been altered as the signs are similar to her stims and some of the signs she does are really subtle (such as when she says yes and no). She also uses an app on her iPad
