How has she got the breath sing after that amazing give it all solo? How?
Real talent, great performance.
She would have had to practice both lung stretching and airflow control, and practice it for years and years. This woman is amazingly dedicated to her craft, and she has mastered it. I have never heard a clarinet trill, growl, scream, and warble like that. And that voice....Pure NOLA.
@@d.g.leblanc7450 Wow, now I know. What a woman👌 thanks for the info😚
you can tell how much heart and soul she’s putting into her music just by the way she’s moving her legs when she plays. just amazing.
That clarinet solo brought tears to my eyes. Finally some art.
absolutely man, i had no idea a stupid clarinet can do this to me... wth???
other than a viola 💀💀
I just don’t want it to end. They’re all so good, and Doreen herself is an absolute gem. I could listen to this for hours.
There’s a difference when it comes to playing with just an ear as opposed to playing with your ear and heart together. This is one of the finest examples of that.
everyone is talking about her, but i think the trombone solo was KILLER (also the second clarinet solo)
Curious how many ppl actually listened/watched the whole vid
Everything about this 8:38 min song is Gold
Yessssss. So glad someone else said it. She is amazing. And love to see the love the the trombone guy
And the tuba player gets nothing? Is not so nice for him
So very good! I'd like to point out the drummer. She is vibin' hard - right around 3:12 she starts dropping a little quiet science, and she really picks it up to carry DK out. I envy the dude in the plaid shirt, getting to chill to this live.
That’s her daughter!
That whole thing was tasty. She was absolutely shredding that clarinet. There is nothing better than watching phenomenal artists make phenomenal art.
Now that is jazz as it should be played!!!!!
That trombone solo was incredible as well
She so good She makes me cry.
This is so amazing. This has absolutely inspired me. I played clarinet for 6 years in highschool and haven't touched it for 10 years. I'm gonna pick it back up. This music is just truly inspiring and raw. Thank you Doreen.
You were in high school for six years?
For real I played since grade 4 and in marching band but I was never comfortable enough to shoot for first chair.
How is your training going?
@@besiprimitif9513was gonna ask the same thing haha
Talent is an understatement! Today 5/19/21 for the very first time...I learned about a “Music Empress” named Doreen❤️
I subscribed to her channel immediately
The children cry for jazz.
This was so awesome
WHEN DOREEN CHECKS HER PHONE DURING THAT KILLER TROMBONE SOLO!!
I love everything about this performance.
The way I would absolutely freeze in my steps if I heard that clarinet in real life
She plays that clarinet like it owes her money. OUTSTANDING!!! Incredible Lady!! :)
I’ve never heard someone tear it up on the clarinet like that.. shook
this is the greatest clarinet tone quality I have ever seen, thanks doreen I am honoured
That clarinet is so dang clean and raunchy at the same time!
The way she just causally checks her phone like nothing Is happening is hilarious 😂 1:04
when the best clarinetist in the world starts singing
ur mind is actually blown for the first time
Never seen a performance so raw and so refined at the same time.
《Blue Giant Explorer》brings me here🖤🎼🎶
I would love a vinyl of this so much
@cmartinez Me too! If you find where to buy one, please @ me
So I have new respect for clarinets. I never knew they could do that. 51 years old and I had no idea.
It always amazes me the fact that some of the greatest thing that ever happened in this world, few eyes were able to see. Look at 'em, it's just a simple performance...and it looks so casual. But in reality, is one of the best performances I've seen in a long long time.
How do you not stop in your tracks.. this is so damn good.
Only Doreen Ketchen’s could play clarinet sing house of the rising sun and text her grand kids all at the same time. 😎😂👍🏻
I been playing the Clarinet since I was 10 (I'm now 39) and I've NEVER heard it sound that good!
She played that thang so STANK❤️👏🏿❤️👏🏿❤️👏🏿❤️👏🏿❤️👏🏿❤️ Love me a instrumentalist...
I’m a fairly new clarinetist and I hope that one day I’ll be as skillful as her! She sounds absolutely amazing.
Astonishing. Walking right past greatness and they don't even have the brains to stop a moment
Mama, I just found your music and I am sooooooo in love with it!!! ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
All but the KITCHENS sink...killing it.
Props to the drummer. Playing that low is not easy :)
That moved me to tears with how amazing she is at the clarinet.
this really made me feel something she’s incredible
Yo...she is Buh Buh Buh Badddd! Love how she makes the clarinet growl..the whole band is bangin..I'd pay to go see them live in concert
Jazz Repacking of a classic song. Good Stuff.
Doreen sure knows how to push feeling through that horn. That's me sending her a text at the 2:30 time mark. Love it.
As a former clarinetist, I am in awe.
Especially at how she's able to both play in a clear, sharp way and the more sensual jazz one!
Thank you ms. Dorreen. Wonderful, my eyes are full of tears. Bless you.
I return to this video again and again.
And how in heaven is the same piece getting better every time?
It's sending the good chills down my spine like you wouldn't believe
i literally want to cry because of how much she gave me chills and EMOTION in her playing . this is an absolute beautiful piece of art ! 🥲🤍
