@@TheWarehouseSeries my trainers are great so I’m doing really well . They told me to spend the first few weeks just learning the warehouse before trying to make any time. And I lose the training vest after making 100% two weeks In a row, which I can decide to do at my pace.
How’s it going Tim, great videos you make , learned a lot from you, I’m a selector at Sysco in Honolulu Hawaii. I’m one of top selectors here just hit 100,000 cases error free. Here we have 1 stop pallets and some multiple stop pallets for smaller customers, you should make a video about building by stops, I column stack sometimes in order to get the stop 1 cases on front or on top of the pallet especially if it’s only a few pieces coming off the pallet for the drivers first stop it helps them for digging for cases. But thanks good content. Keep the videos coming
I’ve been working at associated foods for about 3 months now & i can say work on getting familiar with where you want to put certain cases on your pallet, before trying to go fast. You almost always make the same stops. So just know where you want to put things. And speed comes with.
I’ve started order selecting at Gordon food service and your videos got me ahead of my whole class there already about to put me by myself next week thanks for all the tips
Gonna sound kinda stupid, but winging it is sometimes half the fun. It's actually how I learned to have a process, and recognize patterns after a bit. I personally hate stacking water and Gatorade unless I have quite a bit of them.
I totally agree, I'd Absolutely rather have a Nice pallet that I can be proud of ( Make sure I pull right up in the middle of the warehouse (Out of the way) and wrap it so everyone sees it) 🤣and pull a %100, Then have a pallet I'm embarrassed of and pull a %115! And that right there is what separates the ones that enjoy this job from the ones that are just there for a paycheck! Someone once told me "If there is something worth doing, You might as well do it right!" That always stuck with me!
That’s insane to me you get paid to move product not create masterpieces you do know your pretty pallet gets down stacked and it’s gone by the end of the day same as a average pallet the only difference is buddy next to you is making more money make it make sense
@johantabares7218 lol the thing is, There is a Method to Every single order you get and if followed You won't even have to try and make it look like a "Masterpiece". It automatically will look nice. And that mY friend is my point! The guy who just Throw's and Go and Jam Cram, And Smash's their Pallets together without a second thought will continue to have Atrocious pallets that they will get called back for and the poor person at the store will have to have their day ruined, Or the Loader or Unloader because your pallet fell over when in transit.
@johantabares7218 But YES you're right I %1000 Care that when people look at my pallet they say "Damn That's a Nice Pallet, I want mine to look like that"! You're %100 right
It's the Capri sun's. Someone guessed it. The cans are ok because there is not weight on it but the Capri sun's will buckle under any pressure on It's side
Good video tim, my guess is you disagree with the cans on their side or the fact the arizona teas are not stacked one on another and they put a small case on top of one of them
@@TheWarehouseSeries the other thing i can maybe see that you disagree with is the 3 level up there is a sideways case in the center of the pallet rather than it being ran length wise. If that is not it i am perplexed
You make it like the pallet being perfect is more important than the money you make as long as it’s legit and sturdy that’s all that matters you don’t get paid more for having better looking pallets you get paid more for speed not picture perfect pallets most people in this for the money
That's just me I'm not saying people need to follow me to the "T". If they can learn anything from me to get faster and make more money then more power to them. I'm just offering advice.
@@TheWarehouseSeries u deftly doing a good thing for people,I told a few trainesss at my job about ur channel hopefully they watch it,even I've been watching them to see if I can learn any tips or tricks I dont know, its funny cause at my warehouse they call me the slip sheet king cause I usually have a bunch always
I start next week as an order selector at Kroger starting 20.50 an hour and your videos have helped tremendously, thank you!
What a great starting rate! I'm glad I can help. I wish you the best at your new job!
Tim’s the man keep watching it gets better
Extremely underrated channel, thank you for sharing the knowledge you’ve earned hands on
You bet! Happy to help
I’m going on week 2 on the floor at my warehouse. You definitely should be a trainer.
I appreciate it, how are you making out so far?

That guy definitely selects at walmart. That first trip looks like an L-U or L-T trip. The same with the juice. That looks like a G-H trip

If I had to guess the one thing you would have done differently on the one pallet. I would say the one case on it's side half way up on the pallet.
It's the Capri sun's. Someone guessed it. The cans are ok because there is not weight on it but the Capri sun's will buckle under any pressure on It's side
the cans that are sideways
I can still understand you but man does a mic make the difference. Great advice as always.
Yeah, I thought about holding off, but the show must go on.
Lol
Man I wish the warehouse I work in had orders that were all the same. I can get 5 different tickets with all different stuff on it.
Our warehouse is the same pretty much. We have 4 starting points
How tall should my first pallet be before putting heavy cases on the back pallet? I’m rethinking my dry can trips, we start off with heavy oil boxes.
Just learn what part of the Warehouse will make the best 2nd base and stick to that
is it the capri suns on thier sides or the height of the a pallet?
Yes!! The Capri sun's. I never put them on their sides because they buckle very easily when weight is on them
Im about to start working for Sofo Foods are you making any new videos soon?
Most of there products deal with pizza products
Join Discord, we have selectors talking about pizza supplies all the time
They can probably give you tons of information
So basically you’d say 4 corners to a certain height would be good?
Honestly I always think about my corners through the entire build.
The juice boxes on the left are in a position that can easily be crushed?
Not sure, I would have to watch again.
I’m guessing you hate the fact that that pallet gets skinnier as he builds up?
I'm not a fan of plastic pallets that actually force you to build tall skinnier pallets but not what I was thinking. Thanks for the comment!
Good video tim, my guess is you disagree with the cans on their side or the fact the arizona teas are not stacked one on another and they put a small case on top of one of them
Nope, I got no problem with the teas. The cans I'm not a fan of but there is no pressure on them so they will be fine
@@TheWarehouseSeries it does get narrow as he or she built higher adding cube
@@jeremygozda3629 that's due to the plastic pallet

I do agree with you
Ok I respect that I have been learning from your videos and do find value in them
What inventory management software does your company use ? Thanks
Kronos
You disagree with the one the cans on it's side towards the top.
If it's towards top usually not a problem. It's when direct pressure is on them
The canned tomatoes are on there side.
Definitely don't want to do that
What Warehouse do you work at?
I don't say because I'm not supposed to be filming in warehouse
