great video mattee.. I hadn't thought about all of those different stages in the early going in a while.. good tips too.. I'll have to try these soon 🙃
Good information Matej! As a retired senior, hobby photographer , I'm trying different avenues. I follow Roman, Faisal plus couple of Brits & you all have improved my photography immensely. Shooting with Fuji XS20 & XT4 plus zooms & some primes that have hardly ever been out of the bag since new. Just discovered Fuji 27 mm f2.8 & am getting the hang of primes, although 2 have to go. Looking forward to your next video.
I love the sentiment of realizing where you lived NEAR. We all tend to overlook what's right handy. That's for sure. I just brought back four books to the library, 3 of which were about people who shot almost entirely New York City. I didn't plan it that way. They just all ended up using NYC as their muse. I live in a small town in northern Massachusetts. It's about an hour from Boston, but more fun, very close to many beach and ocean settings for people in tourist towns. :) It's no NYC, but I can get a lot done.
I definitely am trying to make more of an effort to shoot around NJ (my home state). The street photography definitely doesn’t compare to NYC, but there are definitely some hidden gems in overlooked places
@@matsefcik - and I think that one of the "goals" of street photography can be to open up new worlds to people. We know New York. We know the IG hot spots. But I bet you've got a favorite pizza spot surrounded by characters, etc. That's kind of my thing these days (I say as I watch a person roam around spain).
Great tips! NYC is by far my favorite place to shoot, but I did get attacked by a crazy dude who accused me of taking his picture..(wasn’t even aiming my camera at him). Definitely could’ve used someone to back me up..😣
yes! amazing! start where you're at & take advantage of your resources. how cool! you have some amazing shots

Love the video! I'm also on the A7IV. Would love to see a video on your editing process! You have such deep contrast and saturation. Gorgeous shots!
Thanks Ethan! I use my presets (link in description if you’re interested) but might do a full video about post-processing early next year
