3 Tips for VFD Stray Voltage prevention for livestock.

1. Keep the VFD close to the motor. Ideally within 5 ft
2. Make sure the motor is grounded directly to the VFD. Then make sure VFD is directly grounded to the breaker panel. ( Don't share ground wires with other devices. Head it directly to the breaker panel. Shortest pathway wins.)
3. If you are using shielded cable , only connect shield at one end. Shields don't work if both ends are connected.
Bonus tips
- Lower the VFD carrier frequency.
Stray voltage is leakage current. All VFDS make some but brands and models are worse for it.
