There was a moment in this video where the paint transitioned from wet to dry, and it was so fascinating to see how the colours shift as they dry. Thank you for sharing your paintings and thoughts with us. Your videos are wonderful! 💛
I had no idea my country had a watercolor brand this fabulous! This video won me over, and when I go through my current supply a little bit (Szmal, Van Gogh and three measly Schmincke half pans), I might just snap up a set. Thank you so much.
I saw Isaro paints somewhere else and am waiting for my box set of 10 plus a few extra colours to arrive, so it's comforting to hear that you loved them so much!I actually ordered direct from Isaro, and when buying a box set from them you can ask to substitute up to two of the box set colours for two other colours from their range, which is a really nice service to offer, because box sets often have some colours where you'd really rather have a different one. Thanks for this review. As always, watching you paint is both soothing and inspiring!
Watching you paint always makes me want to pick up a brush!! Your style is so loose and ethereal! I'm also really intrigued by the paints, especially the steel blue. I wish I could justify buying them XD
I am just here to say that I am not even into water colours but absolutely in love with your videos! Your voice and drawings are so beautiful and soothing ❤️
So relaxing, satisfying to watch and listen to, and really makes me want to try to paint a portrait. Those were lovely colours, I love the way you use them and the finished painting is beautiful!
What a beautiful palette of colors. They’re perfect, as you have shown, for portraiture; but also landscapes and still-life. So versatile, I’m definitely going to buy this set soon.
To be 100% honest, when I just look at your art, it’s not all that appealing to me. But watching your process and seeing the piece come together is SO beautiful and mesmerizing and as I watch the piece come together I just fall more and more in love with each element and the mood is absolutely intoxicating. You’re a sorcerer, that’s what you are, and I am caught in your spell. Incredible work, Arleesha. Absolutely incredible.
Wow what a beautiful painting. It made me stop what I was doing and just watch you intently, the picture moved me, I can't really explain how it makes me feel. Thanks again for sharing.
The music you use for your videos are sooo nice. i wish i could have a playlist of just all the songs you use in your videos, so i can listen to them while i paint haha.
Such a beautiful portrait, the red on the lips and cheeks is what captivated me the most. Having a great variety of color paints available in one set/palette can be overwhelming sometimes. My main palette is pretty big and I tend to go to the same colors everytime, which makes me think that a smaller collection could be better, for me at least. The one you received looks amazing and the perfect amount of paints to do different combinations of colors, that will probably keep you surprised to find out every time you use them.
Your videos make me feel so comforted, like everything’s gonna be okay ♥️ they make me strangely emotional, but like, in the best way 😂 thank you for sharing your work with us ✨
Your work is just exquisite! I have my watercolor materials ready for an inspiration and you method of laying color on the paper just lit a spark so thank you! Hot press? I never even thought about that...
I’m watching this for the second time today because I absolutely adore this painting. Probably my favorite you’ve done (except maaaaybe the one that looks like David Bowie)
I really enjoyed watching this demo. Isaro is my go to paint but I have never tried doing a portrait and you were inspiring. Hot pressed paper though remains intimidating. Yet I saw that with your glazing washes you captured intense subtleties so gracefully that the face came alive. This was so very different and rich with possibilities that I am tempted to try doing some myself. Thank you so much. Have you thought of doing a series of demos in one brand at a time,( like of course, Isaro,) so that your viewers can see the opportunities and puzzle piece surprises you speak of? Other than Oliver Pyle, I haven't found anyone who uses one brand at a time exclusively in demos like this to showcase the possibilities of a brand. Just an idea. Thanks again!
Lol I really like just watching you paint noses I know it sounds weird but like my favorite part of the shading is so simple and the way you paint noses is satisfying OK yeah that’s it
The steel blue reminds of DS's moonglow. It's beautiful. I super envy you for adding few more colors to the 10 color set. Haha. In my review, the 10 colors are already great but the more i see other colors, the more i get interested. Theyre beautifully subtle. 🎨😍
Lovely video! The editing is just great and your calm voice matches perfectly with the watercolor process. My first watercolors were WN Cotman. I was mostly satisfied but lacked vibrancy and character. Then I switched to isaro and... Wow! a new world in front of me. I love the Prussian blue, isaro rose. Orange pyrrole and jaune chartreuse are wild too!!
So neat! I love trying out watercolors from different places and find it hard to stick to just one ! Love your work soooooo much , so happy you did this review, I’ll have another set to look forward to try out! You inspire me so much words can’t describe!
I really love your voice, it is so relaxing! Your art is amazing as well. You inspired me to create videos again for my TH-cam channel, thank you for that! ❤
It's so nice to hear someone so talented say that their stuff doesn't always turn out the way they pictured it! I have that issue all the time haha. Also, it would be awesome to hear about what brushes you use!
I realise my previous comment sounded a bit negative but it was just an observation. I love your videos & the evolution of your etherial characters is fascinating.
What an absolutely lovely piece and video! These paints are gorgeous! They are rather pricey, but I'm looking to buy at least a few. Would you recommend specific colors, (say maybe primaries) that I should purchase? Thank you Arleesha for your amazing skill and work, and hope you have an amazing day!
Oh wow, that's the same paper I have fallen in love with! I ordered 48 sheets from jacksons 2 months ago so I could get free shipping lol they used to sell it at Joann's which always surprised me but they stopped selling it a while back apparently
I think you utilize the watercolor medium in such an interesting way. You can immediately see its transparency and layering. And yet there’s no muddy colors for how many colors there are and how many layers. That’s not easy to do. You’re really good with color
This is the first time I've seen a TH-cam i follow use these and it was nice to hear another opinion! I found these alright from the tube, but once I dried them to pans they started to do some funny things / turn gritty and uneven.
Thank you so much for your kind words! :D Also, I only charge my patrons on the first of each month. If you sign up prior to that, you won't be charged until the first of the next month. :)
7ml is so much more reasonable than the standard smaller 5ml. Those tiny 5ml tubes seem to waste so much paint as you just can’t get it all out easily. These paints smell like heaven.
I was rewatching a lot of your videos since I missed you for all of Feburary and I just noticed in the background of this painting to the right it looks like there is an owl or like sunflowers or something and I never caught that before... was that intentional or were you just letting the watercolors do its thing because it really looked like a little owl sitting there on a foggy evening.. :)
I really like these videos...tho it would be super helpful if you have the names written down on the swatch paper Before you swatch the colors so we know what colors we are looking at...bc if we see a color that we like we dont know what color it is and well that stinks...lol...But anyway...love the video.. thanks for sharing:)

Has anyone ever had to fill out a TSCA form before your package could be delivered from Jackson’s? A few days ago I placed an order with Jackson’s art supply and yesterday I received a call from FedEx Saying I would half to fill out a toxic substance control act form for customs to review before my package could be delivered. I will update you all if there’s any issues but just so you know you might have to go through this process when ordering from Jackson’s if you live in the states.
I believe it depends on the states, I know California has restrictions on what you can purchase due to toxicity of some ingredients. I’ve never had issues in Texas.
Honestly your art just makes me feel like I can do something.
You absolutely can. ♥♥ Do the thing!

The painting turned out spectacular, and how you make it so casually is mind blowing! Congrats!

whats is granulation? im not familiar with water colour terms. is it when there are little gritty bits in the paint?
That's pretty much it. The pigment seperates a bit and goes grainy. I think it's what makes watercolour so beautiful and magical 🙂
