I‘m very impressed from the S5 II‘s autofocus too. And it‘s even better since the last firmware update. But in my opinion it‘s not at eye level with the competition yet. The dog was very small in the frame mostly, and the camera even lost him sometimes as he was running from right to the left side of the frame. And you will see distortion because of rolling shutter if he is filling the frame a bit more, because of using the electronic shutter.
The G9 II on the other hand is finally at eye level with the competition and much more reliable. You can capture the dog, very fast running straight to the camera and filling the frame with it. And you can do it wide open at f1.7. The sensor readout is much faster too. So you don’t have to fear the rolling shutter. I tried it again and again with several dogs. I think the faster sensor readout is the key why autofocus is so much better.
Why this comment? It’s a great video and great pictures. But people watch videos like this and will disappointed if the camera is then not really able to do it. I tried it with the S5 II several times, to capture my really fast miniature Pinscher running straight to me. Hundreds of pictures and there is not one picture really in focus. Focus is behind the head every time. Same time the G9 II nailed the focus again and again. 🤔🫣🙂

What settings do you use for the AF exactly? I can’t seem to get the AF to work too well on my S5IIX. It’s up to date on firmware
