Well, to be fair, if there were any good turret spots, they'd be IMMEDIATELY taken out by teams at the start of the match. I know how much rage you can get from a team if you find a good spot for anything. My favorite thing was to set up with a tank or especially anti-air, be support, and have an MP-APS right next to me, while also running the Active Protection countermeasure. I'd also throw down an ammo box to where I was set up, so I'd be ready to throw down another MP-APS if it got destroyed. I remember one Rush match on Flood Zone, where I was set up on the highway as Anti-Air with MP-APS, and kept downing the helicopters as soon as they got into the air. The RAGE I got was amazing. A quarter of the team was coming after me, constant rockets, shots at the MP-APS, and they couldn't do anything, because I kept going. When the MP-APS wasn't protecting against rockets, my Active Protection was. They'd cover each other's cooldown. The enemy team did not appreciate that I was in a great spot to instantly down their helicopters, effectively destroying any air support, and that they couldn't counter attack, even with that effort. And yes, we won that match. That's the importance of a great spot.
Actually, also on paracel storm, but only for squad obliteration gamemode, if the enemy is coming towards the objective down the trenches, one turret in a wooden tower is very effective. That is, until they decide to launch any form of explosive at you, even just a grenade will do it.
Normal? Realises he is surrounded by bushes but waits for Recon to suggest clearing them. Proceeds to blow up his own turret. Finds another turret doesnt recorgnize its a missle turret and blows up the building the group are trying to defend. While Neebs is just standing next to recon going on about tourettes while recon is trying to organise defence. If that is normal i worry who you have been playing with XD
Well the Schipunov 42 in the Final Stand DLC was pretty decent until they nerfed it into the ground. That thing worked like a huge shotgun with an insane oneshot-kill range to infantry; and if I remember correctly it could even take down helis pretty easily in the beginning. Imho it was fine like this; I don't see why it would be OP with yourself being such an easy kill while being on it. It's utterly useless now, just like all the other turrets.
@@darrenfalconer3267 Well the mind _is_ the brain, and the brain is made up of nerves, which are also called neurones. They're functionally the same. Like having a gut issue and a gastrointestinal condition are the same thing, just different words.
I take it you've never used the mounted guns in BFV, or the BF1 AA. The AT guns in BFV were especially good unless you happened to be targeted by a skilled sniper or a tanker that actually thought to shoot back with the correct round in the correct spot. Those PaK 40 and 6 Pdr guns did some serious work, nothing better than hopping on one early in the match and single-handedly pushing the enemy back into their spawn from across the map until they manage to smack you with their call-in tank. Even the AA guns were good if you knew how to use them right, most people complained about them because they didn't know how to manage heat and lead shots. BF1 AA guns were in a similar place, they were OP if people used them right, but total garbage for the masses that can't lead shots. Mounted MGs are always more of a mixed bag, they're always _supposed_ to be part of a fortified position or someplace you might need more reach or more bullets than your gun might have. Most of the ones on Paracel Storm for example are actually intended to shoot at enemies that are trying to swim or take a RHIB on a flank. BFV placed quite a few in good positions if Support would actually build them, and even put sandbags in front to try keeping the gunners feet from being shot.
@@BrainDeadHorror Hearing Neebs go off was a shock. Love that series. I'm gonna go through it again now that First run BFF's is done... ...and back where it belongs.
This is my favorite episode, it has everything. We get to hear Neebs cus in a tangent, engineer is mad about something that isn't the to do with the noobs, Simon gets to make a good point, and poor ol' sniper has to be the voice of the voice of reason and still just gives up at the end. It has everything!
There was a turret on Port Valdez in BC2 that was my favorite thing in the game. It was in an under-construction building overlooking one of the MCOMs, and you basically had a complete view of the attackers path to the objectives. As long as the tanks were kept at bay, you could run down pretty much anyone you saw.
How did I ever miss this one? Also turret rage is real! Which reminds me of my most awesome turret shot: BF3, late game map but it had the metal shop in the desert. I man a missile turret with a wire guided missile. You know you can’t hit a farking thing with it unless a targets right in front of you. Zoom, enemy helicopter swoops in directly in front of me and towards me, never moving. I shot the missle, aim the reticle at the helicopter and hold it…3,2,1, boom! Explodes like a firecracker. What a shot! Man I miss this game. Thanks for bring back memories BFFs!

i was playing bf4 again and realized this was the turrent in the video, it can aim at the building all day with excellent cover for your enemies but not thr grassy area you'd actually want to shoot
Oh Appsro DOES have Turrets. Especially after trying to kill Noob so many times with friendly fire protecting him, then Simon shows him how it is done.

The field guns, anyway. The Vickers wasn't as powerful as you'd rightfully think, but at least it could _hit_ something. The machine gun turrets in V, though, now those could ruin your day real quick.
This complaint is justified. BF4 features MG turrets where a boat can easily blow you up without retaliation and missile turrets that are at the exact elevation of a tank’s barrel and out in the open where a sniper can hit you from anywhere on the map.
I would actually pay some money to watch a series where developers are interviewed about the dumb ass things and mechanics that were put into old games.
The tow missle actually comes in clutch as a recon, either use a soflam and solo it. Or have a buddy sit on the tow and you pld targets which makes it pretty fun and easy to use. The damage doesn't out do a javelin if am right but hey am a nerd for easy kills not common knowledge.
"I'm surrounded by bushes. Why would they have a turret here?"

I still remember alot of the dumb turret placements... Some just basically facing a wall or looking away from the whole map for no reason... Lol
