The album goes through phases: intuition, denial, anger, apathy, emptiness, responsibility, reform, forgiveness, resurrection, hope and redemption. This is much more explained in the film that she released along with the album on HBO.
I find some of his reaction a bit off putting and unusual but somehow I liked his video coz at least he's being honest although it kind of gives his lack of knowledge and background on some production choices and why the song was done in that type of way. "Sounds strange" in Daddy Lessons, girl, country came from black people and the instrumentation is what country is and not these yts you all listen to. Lol. 💀 I enjoyed the video since it's cute and new to most of the reactions I've seen Add more history and knowledge on music and your reactions will be even better.
i think it’s fundamental to listen to this album expecting to understand her vision of the cheating as a black woman. the tracks tells u a history: suspicion, anger, self empowerment, then fragility/ vulnerability which leads to the possibility of forgiveness and finally, reconciliation.
Great album. A few songs like 6 Inch don’t really stick with me that much but otherwise it’s great. About her relationship: Jay-Z had started seeing other women in secret, and she made this album after finding out. She chronicles her anger, acceptance, and newfound understandings throughout the album.
The word “slay” may be a temporary term for you as a, I’m assuming, straight man, but for gay and black people it’s actually slang that is rooted in our history and culture. We very much still use it, all the time actually. Not trying to hate btw just saying, it’s VERY much still used today, even by a lot of straight people lol
You should listen to EVERYTHING IS LOVE by THE CARTERS (the carters being Beyoncé and Jay-Z), a must listen album right after Lemonade. It gets really personal and honest as it's about their relationship, family, friends, black power, and just overall being successful.
I had the same reaction, to All Night in particular. The way everything about it is just about perfect. There’s SO much in there but it doesn’t feel overdone either. That’s a special one right there.
daddy’s lesson perpetuates the narrative of the cheating… her dad was unfaithful to her mom, so in the lyrics when she says that her dad says “when men like me come to town, shoot”, cause she’s aware of the infidelity of her father and fears that the same thing happens to her.
A pop essential. Id recommend janet Jacksons “the velvet rope” and madonnas “ray of light”..two important pop albums that truly shaped todays pop music and albums like lemonade!!
@@ofclshn You clearly missed the point. Obviously lemonade doesn’t sound like a madonna or Janet album because its by Beyoncé…what I’m saying is albums like ROL & TVR influenced pop artists that came later on to push boundaries in different forms. The Influence can be lyrical, vocally, production choices etc. Beyoncé has openly stated madonna and Janet have done a-lot for pop music. Just because lemonade or Beyoncés sound doesn’t sound like a product by Janet or madonna doesn’t mean it wasn’t influenced by them.
I'm curious of what music you listen to and artist. Coz "disappointing production" reaction in a Beyoncé album must mean you listen to top tier artists who can sing, write, produce and direct better than her. And all other technical stuff. Please drop them. Would love to listen to them.
You should check out- Beyoncé- I were a boy live at the Grammys and resentment live . Her live performance are a level even higher than the the album her dope live vocals and ( her incredible all female band as well as backing vocals the mamas ) not to mention vocals 💖💜💖
My favorite tracks are Freedom, Love Drought, and 6 Inch. Over I prefer Renaissance, S/T, and B'Day though. Please react to Madonna/Ray Of Light and Massive Attack/Mezzanine (which I don't think you've done yet?). Two classics from 1998.
We had a very similar first reaction, loved Love Drought and All Night. You should review Reinassance even if it's not a reaction video since you mentioned you already listened it.
Beyoncé’s self-titled album and Renaissance are my favorite albums from her. While B’Day is just a ton of fun. Lemonade is solid (especially the first half), but it doesn’t do it for me as completely as those three. Also, you’ve only heard of Jack White? Now, you have to get to Elephant and Get Behind Me Satan reactions.
I enjoyed this a lot, first time seeing your channel. Please do Lana Del Rey Ultraviolence you will really enjoy it, it’s such a beautiful psychedelic/alternative pop album that creates a bridge between art and pop.
All of beyonces albums never hit coherently the first time its always the second time. Especially if its something ur not used to or just used to her in general. But boy do you get it that second time like everything makes sense AND then theres the visuals lol. Foreggaboutit ! Dont let the negative comments get u either
He mentioned the 'disappointing production' once and every person in the comments is talking about it. He literally was praising it after a certain point for the rest of the reaction....
He clearly enjoyed the album but you're mad he didn't jump up with excitement during every bit of the album. I get it, Beyonce deserves this kind of reaction but people have different tastes and expectations. It's not that serious
The only way you should listen to this is by watching the HBO Lemonade movie / album. The way it was meant to be listened to / it adds SO much more meaning to the songs
I had to cut this one up quite a bit because of copyright. Not much that I can do about it. Hope you all enjoy though!
Yeah… the moment you started talking nonsense about production is when I cut this reaction off. Please be serious 😂😂
The album goes through phases: intuition, denial, anger, apathy, emptiness, responsibility, reform, forgiveness, resurrection, hope and redemption. This is much more explained in the film that she released along with the album on HBO.
Beyonce is very underrated & this is a great body of work. Genre-bending but cohesive as threaded by the storyline.
Underrated? Her last three albums are all in the top 40 most acclaimed albums of the past 15 years. Never mind that she’s Beyoncé.
@@liteflightifynot saying that you’re wrong, but you’d be surprised at the amount of people who called her overrated and overhyped.
@@georgia_amoorefanI agree everyone knows Beyoncé but her music is actually UNDERRATED
@@georgia_amoorefanthat comes with every popular artist
what 💀

When it come to Beyonce, the word robotic is a loss to me. That’s her voice on 6 inch no editing, that’s what you call versatile
ive been saying this
i think it’s fundamental to listen to this album expecting to understand her vision of the cheating as a black woman.

She always makes amazing music. Love her so much.
I could write a thesis about that album; it's so highly acclaimed but I somehow feel like every aspects of it are not appreciated.

her vocals on the end of 6 inch are so godly tho

I second Velvet Rope 🙏
this
Lmao Lemonade has no similarities to either of those two albums

Yes! Janet Jackson’s Velvet rope 🎉
You need to each the lemonade movie, it’s a masterpiece.
I’M SEATED FOR THIS ONE
This was my all-time favorite B album. Was in college 😅 Greatness ✨
slay sounds a little dated today because it was so popularized by this album around 2016s.
You should watch the visual film, it adds a lot of context to the music
Now imagine this live 😭

He’s so Caucasian it’s refreshing
Her self titled album is best thing pop star could ever do
I'm curious if you have any musical background in more than one genre. It seems not LOL
just look at my videos and you'll see that I cover a pretty wide variety of genres
Don’t be so rude. It is not appropriate.
love drought is definitely my favorite song on lemonade…. so underrated.
Also the first line of hold up is original form yeah yeah yeahs - maps

the horns on "all night" are a sample from "SpottieOttieDopaliscious" from outkast (:
Try her selftitled its just as good as renaissance
can you please react to her self-titled album. great album

Btw all night simples outkast's spottieottiedopaliscious for the horns
Beyonce CREATED the term "slay" with this song actually😂

"if feels dated..." reviewing a song from 2016 😩
React to Beyoncé self titled album
