This is why I love being able to speak fluently in English and Turkish.

Abaan Qais Every tuesday (and other days in the week) many longs street markets are placed in Istanbul, it called "sosyete pazarı". Places where i go every year are named "Kadıköy sosyete pazarı", "Bahçelievler" and "Bakırköy". You can also find the list in this website: www.enuygun.com/galeri/istanbul-da-sosyete-pazarlari-listesi/
Its cheaper outside the grand bazaar building.
And they ask where u from to give u higher price. 😅

No men, he would still get those expensive prices, his face literally looks like he from those rich Western countries though and Asian sellers tend to hit tourists outside country because they want to earn more profits from newbie people lol.
Yeah, Welcome To The Internet._. His face is not the problem, he could also be a local.
But the fact that he doesn’t speak the language gives it away lol

Only tourists go to the Grand Bazaar, normal Turkish people go to malls like Akasya, Zorlu Center, Akmerkez or Istinye Park.

actually, Bargaining in Turkey is amazing. if you bargain and come in the middle price where you agree and it's a deal. they will give you a glass of hot tea. I shopped in Grand bazaar alot and I ended up drank 3 or 4 glasses of hot tea. but I dont see colin here being serve a glass of hot tea from Turkish seller.
So you paid more just for a cup of tea?
I mean if we reached in middle price where we as buyer is happy and seller is happy too they will serve us hot tea as complimentary. I think it's some kind of hospitality for shopping in Turkey (I only experienced that while shopping in Turkey. I dont know if any other country do that too)
I was in Turkey this month. Really great country especially these shops lol. Im planning to return there next summer. I need to go shopping big time haha
