Yes...it is similar...good observation...no one else got that!
brilliant could never get my head around the II dim to voice well, amazing, I do this in Majors, via novello, but your are more succinct, this will take me next level too use as a basic for improve nd different rhythms.
A favorite video.
Thanks for telling me...very helpful!
Great exercise can thank you. Can I ask you what software you use for streaming and showing your keyboard and the staff ?
Chordie and OBS studio...but they are complicated...just so you know!
@KentHewittpiano88 I literally just watched a British lady explaining her whole setup...she has exactly that. Plus a Usb to her laptop...
@KentHewittpiano88 I'm fairly technical, but yes I know. Lol. Thanks Ken.
Thank you Kent! I will try out this exercise!
Would also like to know if there are any exercises specific for the left hand or forming hand independence
Yes...please write to my email. Also go to my channel page and look up Playlists for specifics.
that is useful and the half diminished with the eleven is very much a 4 chord with that wonderful flat 5. if particular, that 4 chord would be from a key a 4th up. V too contains it like a 7/3/4 of Vm11 moving down two half steps ... that four b5 major chord would be the key a 3rd down... still working out impact that could make
Thanks for sharing your perceptive observations!
@@KentHewittpiano88 Hi Ken! Of course thank you for the fine contributions!
Great lesson! Love these harmonies! I notice that the two first upper extensions, i.e. the right hand chords are the same chord, just transposed up a minor third. I think you say that, but I didn't notice. The upper extension of the D7#5 is actually the same as the Am7b5 (or Am11b5) transposed up a third to Cm7b5 (Cm11b5). Makes it easier to remember for me.
Thanks for the observation. I did point that out in the video and mentioned that I worked that out ahead of time.
Another great lesson. Similar to another video you had for minor 2-5-1’s with altered extensions. I just love all this !!! Thanks so much. Is the pdf in mudic downloads?
Yes, Bruce ...and thanks so much!
Do you have a similar exercise for major keys?
Look at his videos. You’ll find it
