Robert Willis It is true that they voted to rejoin. However, what they did would essentially be the same as a portion of Texas voting to join Mexico. It's not something we'd allow, the Crimean government wasn't going to allow them to break away and join Russia, Abbas Russia took the initiative on its own to invade what was still another country in order to maintain its naval base in the Crimean peninsula. Russia did what it felt it needed to, but its illogical for any country to do anything but condemn what it did.

JackWagon if it's illegal it's illegal. It's not a big deal as a misdemeanor, but it does seem a bit odd. It seems that the detectives were complicit. They saw her preform these actions on every member of the crowd and then allowed her to do it to them. They could have resisted, but the report doesn't mention that. So, it seems that they didn't resist, and therefore were willful participants in the said unlawful action. There is something that Ben read that could explain this inaction. That is they arrested 2 others. My guess is to keep their cover they allowed it to happen. Although as witnesses to crimes being performed on others, they could have said no or backed away and still charged the offenders.

As a German citizen I can assure you that our current government couldn't successfully invade their own backyard. These people can't even finish building that damn airport in our Capital.
I once read that Germany will duck out of /leave the EU, and then the EU will implode. The proposed cause- economics, Germans simply will not be able to afford all the social welfare for those coming into the country. If they have to start paying their own way in NATO, that puts increasing pressure on the national budget. Merkel is hanging on by the skin of her teeth as it is.....I will be happy to see her go. Klavan played The Battle Hymn of the Republic, performed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, almost three years ago on his show. The Hymn was so dutifully and powerfully sung and was already a very meaningful piece to me, it inspired me to start singing to my newborn (at the time). I had subpar singing abilities as I would attempt to entertain my son with "Itsy Bitsy Spider" or Twinkle Twinkle" but not when singing The Battle Hymn of the Republic. I would mark time march on the living room carpet with him in my arms and, doing a decent and spirited job, I'd croon each verse and belt out the chorus. My boy is three now and he still loves it and, now that I'm a little better and he can speak, he sings along with me as we both do an exaggerated march in place. It's kinda become our thing.
