Yes Duff was one of the last people to see Kurt alive and this was just a few days before Kurt died. Duff even invited Kurt to come and stay at his house but Kurt declined this offer. Perhaps he would have still been alive today if he would have stayed with Duff.
This is a big part of the 'conspiracy' of Cobain's death. Duff claimed that Cobain was talking about the future and plans going forward. Not the type of conversation someone about to commit suicide would engage in.
Chris Cornell ruled them both creatively and meaningfully. GnR, while an awesome band, were an evolution of The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Motörhead, New York Dolls and Hanoi Rocks. Nirvana were also a great band but their 2 greatest hits had their riffs so blatantly lifted from Boston and Killing Joke in a way that would make Jimmy Page blush. Soundgarden and Chris Cornell's other projects were truly original and innovative. Chris was a much better human being whose music could connect with metal heads, punk rockers and hippies/stoners alike.
@@Banana_Split_Cream_Buns who's to say that Soundgarden didn't have elements you could connect back to the bands that influenced them? I'm not saying this to criticize them -- in fact, I like them more than GNR, though not quite as much as Nirvana, but that's just me -- but rather to say that, to me, it's ultimately not about whether or not a band's sound is an outgrowth of another's, it's what they do with their chosen sound that counts. I'd much rather listen to something "derivative" that I enjoy than something "original" that just doesn't do anything for me at all.
@@seymourmaupin6395 while I agree with your saying that Soundgarden's style grew, I must make one small correction: Chris was not older than Axl. Axl was born in 1962, and Chris was born in 1964.
@@ryoannazuk949 he still stayed out of a majority of drama tho. Yes he probably caused problems somewhere but at least he didn’t really instigate shit.
Just went to see Guns N Roses in concert here in Phoenix. But I also like the Foo Fighters & Nirvana. Glad to know Dave Grohl came through to make peace with G & R in the end. Back then I really hated the disconnect or snobbery between the alternative music scene against rock bands. I just wanted them to support each other but it didn’t happen.
Also Duff was one of the last people to see Kurt alive (was going to offer him his place since he seemed depressed but Kurt left before he could offer at the airport), Courtney Love offered an olive branch to GnR, and Duff and Krist performed together. So it’s safe to say the hatchets been long since buried. And for all the crap Zoomers get for music, I’m glad they don’t carry the same kind of snobbery past generations did with music.
Dude right! Sounds like G&R tried to include nirvana and cobain even when they weren’t big and yet they had some type of vendetta against axl and the rest of them just becaue they chose to express their music differently than kurt and those fools did...Bunch of pretentious assholes nirvana sounds like in this video imo
Yeah I guess alternitive rock was striving to be as far removed from big overblown bands at the time that in by doing that they eventuality became exactly that so at the end of the day what was so different? But I saw Dave make peace with axl something I doubt kurt would have done if he was still here today but I’d like to think he would have

Kurt was not wrong in his assesment of GnR style. But his actions made him look like a pretentious prick and made Axl come out on top in this feud, given how Kurt trashed his own life with drugs and ended up the way he did. And this is coming from a Nirvana fan....
Axl was petty and did not come out on top here at all. Axl has a long history of extreme diva behavior, and the fact that Kurt didnt want to be his friend or open for them or perform at his birthday is not pretentious at all. Axl is a douche bag in this story and every other story about GNR
Kurt Cobain wasn't right about anything he was just too busy preaching his ideals. Self loathing for himself and the establishment whatever the hell that means. It was too busy preaching instead of just being a cool dude. He's no different than some guy outside preaching gospel yelling in your ear.
So to sum up. -Axl praised Nirvana for about 1 year while Kurt took shots at them. -Axl finally snapped and took a shot at Kurt and Courtney on stage after 1 year -A week later Kurt spits on Elton Johns Keyboard thinking it's Axl and him and Courtney taunt him at the MTV Awards to his face causing a face to face confrontation where Kurt made it seem that Axl was acting like a giant bully. I still remember back then hearing Kurt give his side of the story and I thought Axl just reacted out of no where but Kurt left out the entire backstory. Truth is Kurt acted like a complete A-Hole to a lot of bands back then. Talk crap on Pearl Jam, AIC and even took some shots at Soundgarden later on(even though he was a huge Soundgarden fan).
@@LeMeInch I like Tool a lot, but they deserve to get shit on a bit, cause they are maaaaaad pretentious :D They can take it, I'm pretty sure they know how they're seen/what they are.
@@vgaportauthority9932 The issue from Kurt was this; Adam Jones(Tool guitarist) directed Tools early music videos and plagiarized the work of the Quay Brothers. Kurt called this out and to be frank he is correct.....it's 100% the same. So I think the issue is Tool's early aesthetic (which helped make them popular) is this Quay Brothers art but there was no credit from what I understood of Tool addressing this. Kurt had no issue with the music and even said the video was cool. Also note prior to Tool doing this Kurt had the idea prior to Tool to actually have the Quay Brothers do one of their videos and they turned it down. Probably annoyed Kurt when he saw Tool just do a version themselves without the Quay Brothers....if the Quay Brothers said yes to Kurt we probably would have saw Nirvana have a video that looked just like Sober did a year before Tool did theirs(which probably would have prevented Tool from using it)
@@talynstarburst2l2l2l AIC was a glam band early on in Seattle. Kurt knew this and when he saw them start change their look and music starting in 1989 into 1990 he then called them out in an interview stating this. He ended up becoming friends with them(did coke with them in Brazil in '93). Gave Layne credit on his singing. The issue with Kurt was he was such an elitist that he would go after people too easily and if you think about it then it all makes sense because Kurt attacked his own music. Thats how hardcore he was about this stuff.
I loved the music he made, and I just chalk it up to him being young, but Kurt really liked to define himself by the things he didn't like or wasn't part of etc... Spent way more time talking about what he didn't like than about he did. They were all like that to an extent, but he was the worst case of it. He probably would've grown out of it like the rest of them if he'd kept going.
It’s a reduction process.. and publicly creating conflict or opposing forces gets you a cult like following. For him, it seemed like he believed in punk ethics though they were both on the same label.
Some people are against things, nothing wrong with that. Axl was ethically more a glam rocker, all pussy, drugs, ditching responsibility(not showing up for gigs..) and shitheadery all day. The most annoying fucking guy in your life AND a sexist pig and a homophobe. Who the fuck wouldn't talk shit about that guy? Talking about what you like is for people who have no fight in them. People who care tend to care about things they disagree with.. No one out there is walking through the streets to show their support for birthday cake.... Everyone likes cake.. If you're fighting injustice or whatever, you're gonna be talking about stuff you don't like. Simple as that. If I want to call out racism I don't go "I really love the brown people a lot." You go "man, racism is rough, we should really do something about that." And then we lean back and do nothing. He didn't define himself by what he didn't like. He called out and fought the shit he didn't like. To some that looks like he's out there just hating, to activists it's pretty obvious that he was out there calling out shitty behavior by his peers. Good. G&R always sucked and them getting called out, particularly axl, for making nothing-music was good. In fact the whole grunge movement was about putting the breaks on anti intellectual idiot-culture that saturated the 80s. G&R was the last vestige of that culture, and Grunge was poised to take a dump on that whole thing. If you were young in the early 90s you'd also be hating a lot of shit, much like lots of people do now. It's not like people define themselves by what they don't like(well.. conservatives sure do define themselves as the opposite of the phantoms they hate.. but I digress), it's just a lot of shit to not feel great about right now. Same with the 80s, and that spilled into the 90s when Grunge daggered garbage music and shitty culture in the taint. This wouldn't even be a "feud" if it wasn't for the G&R fans losing their shit. Just Kurt telling it like it is. Shallow idiots prancing around singing lame but reasonably catchy songs while being angry at nothing and not even caring about their own audience enough to show up for gigs... I don't define myself by my disdain of G&R, but I definitely can't stand that band.
@@chrishandsome6542 that's far from the truth lol. They we're late teens early 20s. My mom saw them at a highschool show in Cochrane Ontario waaaaay back in the day. Before Neil Peart
True they are not role models but I liked both bands I grew up with both but it’s too bad alternative music at the time wanted to distance themselves or shun rock groups like Guns N Roses among others as if they were better or different. To me they were the same just the style was different. Look what happened to Kurt he died in the end and he had more issues if not the same as Axl.
What do you mean Kurt Cobain shouldn't be a role model? He was an outspoken feminist way before it was socially acceptable as well as outspoken about injustices in the world. His music reflects as much. Axl though? Yeah, fuck him and GNR
@300Thieves yeah, some of them weren't good people either. Kurt was a flawed human being, but he was still far ahead from a lot of these clowns. I will say, I gained just a little bit of respect for Axl last year
Sad thing is Axl and Kurt were indeed pretty similar, like the video said both came from broken homes, found solace in rock music, but also; both faced abuse, both were failed by their mothers in being protected from said abuse, both grew up in small towns and as kids didn't fit into the "macho" type that said small town beat on them for. Difference is Axl hardned into the image to survive while Kurt rebelled to not fit into the image even more. They coped with it in opposite ways, but they probably could have had a lot to understand about each other
I think Kurt can perform that perfectly.........me also want to heard axl singing smells like teen spirit And where did you sleep last night........Kurt is genius in music to their hit tilted come as you are 1 attempt in guitar then 2 attempt in voice for recording
Who would have thought that one of these videos could have brought a tear to my eye?... The thought of Axl Rose being totally destroyed hearing the news of Kobain's death hit me right in the feels. Most of all of these videos are historical tabloids, but this one gave some really great insight into this little piece of rock history.
Kurt Cobain was trying so hard to be the it kid and it just made him look like a pretentious scumbag. Crying about the establishment whatever the f that means. Dude's trying to act like a hobo when he has a millions of dollars in the bank. There's a point where you start to spread your ideology bs. You become no different than a loud mouth preacher preaching in the street.
I don’t think it was really that deep. See the thing to remember about cobaine is that he died @27. He was young his whole life. He had a tendency to get all fake deep on you just like most people that age do. Especially when they have a few issues going on in their life like Kurt did. I don’t think he actually felt that way about gnr but it was more or less just something he told himself to explain his personal dislike for them. What he really disliked is how their mainstream popularity sort of glamorized the rock and roll lifestyle. Obviously anyone who knows anything about the man knows he hated that life and never wanted it and spoke openly negatively about fame and the lifestyle he was now forced to live due to his own popularity.
Wow! That was really well put together, I thought I knew most of this story but you added a lot of stuff that wasn't that mainstream. So thank you so much for uploading this video and taking the time to edit it
Man I knew they feuded but totally assumed Axl wouldve started this before i watched this video. He was actually really kind to Nirvana considering where GNR were and Nirvana were up and coming at the time. Kurt came across as a dick in this
I TH-cam researched Kurt’s last days during lockdown and quickly realized he was using money as a weapon and shield as well. He could escape, blend in, hurt himself with it…that always stuck with me.
Anyone who would have thought in 1992 that Axl Rose would be the one defending BLM in 2020 and Krist Novoselic would be praising Trump's insisting that Portland Police crack down on BLM protesters would have won several bets.
@@jhabgc Yes, because someone expressing surprise that the person criticized for racist lyrics defended a civil rights issue and someone whose stated public opinions for decades were always left leaning suddenly taking a hard right turn just means that I can't stand hearing different points of view. A lot of these stories have one thing in common. Kurt. The guy didn’t play well with others. I’m not surprised Axl snapped. Also, note how they all made friends once Kurt was gone. I love both bands, but I’m with Axl on this one.
I think Kurt had bipolar disorder. People with that illness have difficulty getting along with others. It’s a condition that makes you erratic and unstable. To the outside world, you look normal but only the individual understands and goes through the daily struggle.
As a fan of both Nirvana and GNR, I have to say that Kurt doesn't come across as being any better than Rose. Both man have their issues, but Kurt seemed to be blind to his own. Not often that I think Axl came across as a better person. And I love NIRVANA.

Kurt was my friend. We were all snotty little fuckers, but his real problem was, he just didn't know how to deal with fame. Like, AT ALL. I remember Nirvana's last local all-ages club show at the OK Hotel, I asked him if he was ready for world domination, only kinda joking, and for just a sec he got a really scared look in his eyes before saying, "Of course, I was made for this." and laughing it off. Truth was, Kurt was NOT made for that kind of fame, and he hid behind sarcasm and dope. Poor guy never had a chance. RIP my friend.
he is literally the complete opposite of a diva, he just had his moments and was projecting his own self-hatred and jealousy rooted in his depression onto them. kurt was incredibly critical of himself especially when performing and it would kill his entire mood if he messed up even slightly on stage.

I always liked Chuck Klosterman's analogy about Axl and Kurt being photo negatives of each other. They both possessed many of the same characteristics.
It's too bad. Their static charges kept them apart at first but, I believe, they all would have been the best of friends if Kurt had made it another decade. It really seems the classic case of unrequited love, and I can certainly relate with Axl in this, but with a little more time to mature both might have found some common ground. I'd love to see the potential collaborative works that might have come about. Unfortunately, we're in the strangest timeline and the best things do not happen for us.

Kurt's main problem seems to be messages and behaviors that are potentially harmful to women, queer, and POC folks; yet neither the channel, nor the comment section, is giving that very much attention. I think the problem is this: rather than using his objections to Axl and G'n'R to start a thought-provoking discussion about sexism in rock, or whatever else, Kurt made it all about his dislike of this one band and its singer, drawing red lines in the process and encouraging people to take sides. Sadly, what should have been a riveting debate on the ideals and mores of our culture became a typical rock star beef instead.
Bingo. Exactly. I was trying to figure out why I wasn't disagreeing with the comments even though I align with Kurt ideologically. There it is. Thanks.
Imho he was just acting like he had the higher moral ground, which in turn makes it worse because adds been a hypocrite and I think he felt threatened by other famous rock bands ej: pearl jam, U2, Metallica etc so it was not only about sexism i think it was mostly petty bulljive

I’d never heard that story about Kurt and Duff sitting next to one another on a plane days before Kurt died. That gave me chills.
I had the opposite experience. I knew Duff was sitting next to Kurt on his last plane ride, I didnt know about their near fight years before.
"We don't have an elitist attitude where we want to pick and choose our audience" - Chris Cornell
Some major shade being thrown here. Love Chris.
Soundgarden early records were very Zepplin but they did grew. Chris was older then Kurt and Axel and also grew more as a songwriter and mucisian.
@@seymourmaupin6395 while I agree with your saying that Soundgarden's style grew, I must make one small correction: Chris was not older than Axl. Axl was born in 1962, and Chris was born in 1964.

Agreed, love Nirvana but Kurt handled this beef like a douche
Kurt Cobain wasn't right about anything he was just too busy preaching his ideals. Self loathing for himself and the establishment whatever the hell that means. It was too busy preaching instead of just being a cool dude. He's no different than some guy outside preaching gospel yelling in your ear.
Man, great words spoken by both of y’all.
Kurt seemed to be projecting from my perspective, since he turned into everything he hated about Axl
So to sum up.
-Axl praised Nirvana for about 1 year while Kurt took shots at them.
-Axl finally snapped and took a shot at Kurt and Courtney on stage after 1 year
-A week later Kurt spits on Elton Johns Keyboard thinking it's Axl and him and Courtney taunt him at the MTV Awards to his face causing a face to face confrontation where Kurt made it seem that Axl was acting like a giant bully.

John Lennon never did, Bono hasn’t…
Think about all the "grunge" guys that didn't grow out of it because they're dead. Axl wins.
It’s a reduction process.. and publicly creating conflict or opposing forces gets you a cult like following. For him, it seemed like he believed in punk ethics though they were both on the same label.
Exactly

Imho he was just acting like he had the higher moral ground, which in turn makes it worse because adds been a hypocrite and I think he felt threatened by other famous rock bands ej: pearl jam, U2, Metallica etc so it was not only about sexism i think it was mostly petty bulljive
Kurt constantly complained about "masculine" men, while Axl never singled out women... I swear the word "sexism" doesn't have a meaning anymore.
What a silly thing to say. Celebrities have no room in conversations like this. Their opinions don’t matter. Just shut up and play your little guitar. I don’t care what you think unless it’s set to a bangin tune. Either play the thing or shut up.
I thought this would be good but it's great! I loved Slash's quote I don't have time for this shit🤣 it's crazy to think that Axle was one of the very very few people who could relate to the insanity of being a "Golden God's rock star who was known worldwide and especially in the early 90s! The 2 were very different guys with the same rare job.
Seems to me Kurt Cobain was being difficult for the sake of being difficult...
@@nvm4086 what video did you watch? Kurt Cobain didn't like GnR from the start... but then again he's the type of person that kills himself... Zero respect for a Father and beloved person to be that selfish...
@@nvm4086 I am actually a bigger Nirvana fan then I am GnR... and I actually don't like Axle Rose I think me and him would've probably fought back in the day... but Axle is still alive, Kurt couldn't handle it and gave up... my argument was Kurt didn't like Axle for no reason but because he was popular at that time and Kurt being the counter culture self-righteous twat he was just didn't like the guy for no reason... thats called being difficult for the sake of being difficult... listen a lot of music I listen to is written and performed by idiots I stilll like the music but I wouldn't let them raise my kids... Slayer, Metallica, Eric Clapton, Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, John Dolmayan, Miles Davis, James Brown, The Sex Pistols and Josh Homme to name a few assholes that I still listen to despite them being massive douchebags...

@@nvm4086 Thanks.
I remember when Kurt Cobain called Guns N’ Roses crap music, and he couldn’t believe that they were the most popular band in the world
I loved how kind Axl and Dave were being to each other
Wow I can’t believe that someone could make Axl Rose look like a nice guy!
I've loved the early work of GnR & Nirvana. Yeah, probably not the easiest guys to work with, but imho, both bands had accomplished _same_ something, which is turned music on its head. They each put out music that sounded far different from the bs that was heard all over the place.
Both great front men and in a way equally to blame. Like two kids in the schoolyard. The other members of GNR and Nirvana were probably wondering what the hell is wrong with these two. Good to see they are on friendly terms now. Life's too short for petty feuds.
Sounds like Kurt was like that girl in school that thinks she’s so different because she listens to different music, wears different clothes, acts differently but doesn’t realize she’s the stereotype “different” girl that everybody knows.
He didn’t like the fact that Guns n Roses was getting away with using racist and homophobic lyrics when they would claim they’re not racist or homophobic
@@genie3531 He wanted attention but wanted to be known as the band that didn’t want attention.
@Metal Fan Rap wasn’t as mainstream then it was still a niche, Gun n Roses were massive
Of course
He was the quintessential grungy kid in school. But to be fair, he was a hit factory
lmao!! I had NO idea about any of that....... the funniest part is I was a Barista backstage at that
92 award show, hysterical..... I remember seeing them all!! :O
The moral of the story is we're all capable of being surprisingly stupid when we're young & we tend to chill out & get a little wiser and warmer as we grow up
7:55 is my favorite part. I'd kill to hear kurt give a go at some stand up, he seemed like a funny guy
Best one in a while
Gun´s N´Roses made welcome to the Jungle and it hit people just as hard, as any of Nirvana´s songs.
kurt was very punk, and so was nirvana. like most punk rockers they just rebelled against the mainstream. even though nirvana was so big, i don’t think kurt ever expected that or wanted it. kurt was also a huge feminist and just didn’t support what guns n roses stood for
Never been a a guns and roses fan. always nirvana. But after hearing this sounds like axle was way more of a standup man.
You are messed up if Axl makes sense in his critical opinion about you XD
Amen!
In the awesome "The Garden" video I'm pretty sure that's a Ministry hat Axl is wearing.
I kind of feel like Kurt thought he was better than most people … 🙄
I agree with axl
Nirvana was probably my first favorite band...
That being said, I really feel like GnR blows them away when it comes to solidity in albums. I mean every single GnR track is at least good, and I feel like Nirvana had some hardcore mid through some of their albums.
I like them both though, its just crazy to me that Kurt outright didn't like their music. That's nuts.
Kurt Cobain admonishing G n’ R about drug use-irony!
They had a lot in common. I think they would have eventually buried the hatchet or even become friends had cobain lived & grown out of his angry punk rocker mindset.
I’m so glad they reconciled at the end
Axl talking about someone being pretentious and how he " doesn't understand it" is the epitome of absurdly out of touch. Axl is the most pretentious, " God's gift to music" douche in the world and I don't hate Axl, he's a top 5 front man in my opinion, and Appetite is one of my all-time favorite albums but come on man. Have just an ounce of self awareness.
Kurt deserves the same criticism to be fasaaiiirrrr.
How is Axl pretentious? He doesn’t view himself as one of the greatest singers and has listed many singers that he thinks are better. He’s more humble regarding his fame than people think and idk where the idea of him being pretentious about it came from just cause he used to have onstage outbursts about unrelated things
@@yourfriendlyneighbourhoods8202 are you serious? If you're "humble" you don't make fans , who paid good money for tickets,. Wait 3 hours before you decide to stop throwing a temper tantrum and go to the venue. Here's the thing, actions are what's judged not words. Stop being a fanboy for 20 mins and actually think about Axl's actions.
That’s why him and Kurt are so similar. So pretentious.
@@FURTHER_ADO being humble and being a irresponsible is different. Slash wrote in his autobiography that axl went on late because he had stage fright and, that he wanted get fans the best show possible. And at that time slash hated axl so i don’t think he will talk in favor of him for no reason
Kurt didn’t like Pearl Jam either. I’m starting to wonder if there were any bands he DID like. Hell, he probably hated his own band too.
Well, he always said he hated being famous, which is crazy. If he didn't want to be famous, he could've quit and just tried to live a quiet life. One of his favorite bands was The Shaggs, so he didn't have much musical taste. If you don't know who they are, look them up here on TH-cam
the Beatles,, the melvins,, the clash,, meat puppets,, bowie,, leadbelly,, the buzzcocks,, public enemy,, the frogs,, the shaggs,, the vipers,,

Axl Rose was right in a feud wow man
Why do I get the feeling that if Axl died and Kurt heard about it he would be a dick about it. Axl tried being nice but Kurt was just salty I reckon
Honestly Kurt was arrogant as hell, nirvana was corporate. The band wasn't indie at this point. He was one magical musician but makes me cringe with alot of his statements.
I don't take sides. Kurt wasn't telling lies about the attitude "rockers" have towards women, but Kurt himself could definitely be rather "precious".
Love both bands but Cobain has a large majority of the blame for this ridiculous feud. Cobain was even more emotionally messed up than Rose.
I don't think that's even debatable. Just listen to their music, pretty clear that Cobain was orders of magnitude more broken than Axl.
Right, Axl was trying to be nice. He even understood how popular they were, and having Nirvana, Metallica, and Guns n' Roses on the same tour, would have been huge for everyone involved.
I love both bands too, but Kurt was a prick and a hypocrite.
I agree with Kurt bc axl was a known racist, sexist, and homophobic. I mean we can forget Guns N’ Roses’ famously racist and homophobic song “One in a Million” 🤷🏾♀️
@@ignarly3583 no, those are just smears by the media. Axl Rose had his issues, but that song and it's lyrics have been overblown. Why is it totally cool for rappers to say even worse. Axel had a reputation, that truthfully was pretty much a farce, but Kirk didn't like that persona. It's not like he wasn't a junkie too.
Thw whole thing was stupid, but the worst part is they were both right about eachother. I love the idea that it was like a hockey brawl. The goalie takes the goalie, bassist against bassist, Matt Sorum just hoping they don't seriously expect him to fight Dave Grohl.
I don't care for GNR personally, but spitting on someone's gear when they aren't even around is a bitch move, Kurt was always complaining that people picked on him and beat him up, Gee I wonder why???
While I was between 12 & 14 during all this, I loved both bands and had no clue anything was negative between the two. I wouldn’t have picked a side anyway. I just loved them both too much! Still do to this day! I wish that they had put down some tracks together. Oh well. It sounds like Axl’s real beef was with Courtney.
I think Curt and Axl were just trying to hate each other. Epic fail. Axl has no reason to feel guilty. The They were all rock stars acting accordingly for early 90’s.
Eh, Appetite for Destruction is still one of my top 5. While I don't count Nevermind in my top 10 the albums after had some good stuff.
Notice how Cobain stopped making sense AFTER being caught in the hellhole that his career had become, he obviously lost his mind.
It was quite ugly back then between them. Truthfully, Guns quickly became a joke meme band halfway through 1992 and never recovered.
Everything Axl says was pretty spot on!
Either or not a fan... but used to hate axl.... but he's fucking right
heartbreaking but I love it. Thank you!
Loving your channel and content. Keep up the great work.
Much appreciated!
I love both bands but Kurt spitting on (what he thought) was Axls keyboard, was an absolute weasel move.
If Cobain had been able to get over himself, I could see the two of them being feuding friends like Werner Herzog and Klaus Kinski or something. I honestly believe they could have been such a calming influence on each other.
Low key, Kurt was kind of a dick to people for no reason. Axl liked him, and Kurt was basically like "F you, you're a racist homophobe cuz reasons".
@@John6-40 - For real. Axl wasn’t/isn’t perfect, but there existed an opportunity for Kurt to learn about Axl as a person. It’s clear from any and all interviews Axl gave that he was an intelligent guy, and Kurt would likely have found something of a kindred spirit in him. I really don’t think they were a million miles apart. They lived different lives when they matured into adolescents, but their passions were the same. It’s a shame that Kurt was a bit of a hipster prick.
Nirvana Metallica and guns on tour together in 91 would have been well worth whatever it is you paid 91 money to get in. It’s a shame Kurt was so ridiculously childish especially considering his well documented drug addiction. I guess it’s ok to be a junkie if you’re considered cool and alternative.
@@mrpogo72 - Yeah, I figure Kurt missed out on obtaining different perspectives by basically bad mouthing everyone who had a bit of success. Variety being the spice of life and all that.
