The part we he called out after the Commander is where my heart broke...I really don't think I could even do this on my DS SW it's just too heartbreaking.
His voice actor outdid himself with this instalment! The male Sith Inquisitor did an excellent job too. Can't wait to play it through myself :D

It took everything I had to leave him behind on my DS SW. I've been playing mine as if I were Vader, so I had to leave him, but IRL I cried. It hurt so much.
Yeah, dark side with senya is okay for me. But dark side for theron, no way so sad :( I am not going to let him die, not even on my darkest toons. Especially because he stayed loyal so it doesn't makse sense to leave him.
I clicked it the option to atleast see it play out before I hit escape and just reset the conversation to save him. The moment he cried out commander I hit escape. No way I could finish that scene.
His voice when he called out to the commander and the expression on his face when he realized she wasn't going back... I'm gutted.
I cried for a good half-hour or so after I did it on my dark Jedi. I will have to skip that cutscene for the last two that would do so. ;_;

Well that was a choice I was going make too........if Lana didn't beat me to it. She was always saying *When we find him, I will show him the POWER OF THE SITH*, * I mean a lot of people *died* because of his actions! LOL decisions, decisions! Then it's all the returning boyfriends/girlfriends/wife/husband thingys, oh golly!!

Like it told you in the story Arcann killed millions on a planet just to send a message to the commander. Millions died because Marr and the commander started a war with zakuul. Fact is, no one we cared about died. Killing a longtime friend because of some random chiss house who CHOSE to make a gamble and attack you (their whole reason for going against you was getting secrets on the alliance, they were your enemies to begin with and not innocent), just seems stupid and having a weird set of morals. Besides, a lot more would have died had he done none of this. Gemini 16 already knew the location of the map. Had theron not infiltrated them and leaked the plans everyone on odessan would be dead

I could never kill Theron, not even on my merciless Warrior. I feel so bad. His childhood was shit and his parents were never there for him and he fought for what was right even still. Omg it hurts! It bloody hurts to see this.

I rarely cry over anything. And I hate Theron, but even I cried at that part. I even saved him entirely. And I play a cruel manipulative backstabbing son of a bitch assassin too. Its cool, the canon is Theron surviving, killing him is the non-canon version. As the surviving one is the one of the wiki and if you skip straight to onslaught without doing the other content, Theron is still around. Him dying is the fake choice :D

Wow...the Dark Side options in this game are epic but leaving Theron there was just brutal. So very brutal. And that expression on Satele Shan's face...I couldn't bring myself to do that. And my character is full Dark Side.

This was my first light side choice, that the game forced me to do. I could not kill him. All of these dark side choices, but he didnt deserved to die. He protected what he loved.

This story is a really cheap trick to get rid of the eternal throne, fleet and the gravestone
many people didn't like the alliance stuff and wanted to return the old fashioned pubs vs imps, and developers team is not big so they had to make a decision, sadly

Yeah. Cheap af. Just 2-3 explosions and that's all? At least should had been an epic battle, where Gravestone fights one more battle vs some big fleet. Maybe Gravestone should have ended on Iokath. Imagine just 1 ship vs 1 planet of fleets. That would had been awsome imo.

You can't be sure he didn't just say that to save his skin. He could have had ulterior motives. He was the best SIS Spymaster after all.

@@tywinlannister8015 His loyalties have always been with the commander though, he LITERALLY built the alliance, was responsible for establishing most of the connections, acquiring most of the people, he was even involved with the starforge business. He essentially did even more than Lana for you, for you not to trust him even when this very story showed even more that you could, well I don't know what to say. And no he didn't almost kill you on Umbara, he KNOWS exactly what the commander is capable of which is exactly why he told the chiss not to fight you because he knew you would kill him. The guy has fought every battle with you and is super intelligent, he knows your skills. You were not in harms way, if he wanted to harm you, he would have. He HAS killed Sith before in the comics.

That's more than lana ever did for the galaxy. Not to mention theron was the one who built the alliance. He made the connections, he recruited the people and was also the only reason you even knew about the starforges, which were capable of producing war machines. Destroyed because of him. I'm sorry, but LS or DS killing an asset like Theron is pretty idiotic

i try to do it with my full dark side sith marauder. But when he says that "commander, wait" i press ESC lol. First light side action ever.
Theron and Lana are the two perfect companions and will always be faithful and loyal, even when there's an apparent betrayal lol. Could never kill off either of them if given the option. You couldn't find better companions.

I was hell bent on killing Theron for his betrayal until it was shown he was a double agent. After that, I couldn't bring myself to do it.

Anyone who is twisted enough to go with that option has probably already killed Satele. Even I let Theron live and my character is a mostly darkside sith pureblood that shows no mercy. I want the satisfaction of killing him when he screws up again, not the backlash of killing him when he dropped everything to help me

This path is dark, and I know a lot of people say there is no reason to leave him behind, but there is. The outlander trusted him, and his 'betrayal' nearly killed him. While it was a fake betrayal, it shows how trusting some people can be a weakness, and thus a cold hearted outlander might want to remove that weakness.
I'm imagining my poor SW... she's the only one that would ever consider this... I'll have the tissues ready when she goes on this murderous rampage lol.

Can we be sure that his betrayal actually fake? I mean, these fanatics achieved their goal, if only partially - Eternal Alliance is not major galactic player anymore. There's a reason why you have to pick a side in next patch.

The letter Theron sent my SW kind of confirmed that Theron did want to betray him at some point or another: "I felt guilty... but you showed me I'm right. You need to be stopped." My SW thinks that they could have stopped the order before anything happened. I mean, the outlander had the fleet and gravestone at the time.
Like I said: Not even dark side user can leave him behind, only a complete fool.

I came to this video to see what would happen if I had chosen the dark side option. Jesus... I'm currently playing full on DS who's bit of an ass to Theron generally but I'll never choose this option, it's just horrible. Thank you for sharing this though, I'm going back to my own Theron.. and maybe be a little nicer to him.

I have yet to play this update, because of a gliche, but know this, I will not leave Theron. He is one of my favorite characters. This was so sad and the way he called out in the end, heartbreaking.

Makes sense when Theron doesn't mean anything to you, and all you care about is making the evilest character imaginable. I played through the expansion with my LS Sith Sorc, and had her aid the Republic and romance Theron in the expansion. ( I wasn't married to Andronikos Revel). Getting to fight for the Republic as a sith was some of the best moments in the game. I just wish there was a way to fully join the Republic, which includes going to the Republic fleet and zones.

I killed Koth in a heartbeat. But I saved Theron. Theron had his reasons for his "betrayal" as it wasn't really a betrayal, rather it was to sell the illusion to help the player defeat Zildrog.
Koth's betrayal was obvious and I looked forward to it, so I could have a legitimate reason to end his miserable annoying self.
Personally I strongly suspect Theron is still alive. He's one of the writers favorite characters that they just had to include in virtually everything since SoR, and his supposed death happens offscreen. If Malgus can survive literally being murdered I'm sure they'll find a way for Satele to save him or some concocted nonsense.

The expansions are awesome because it slowly transitions your character to the Grey area, from light side or dark side. My DS character even didnt leaves Theron

While I wanted to thrash him for the initial betrayal, which later proved to be an act, I couldn’t have left him behind. When he called out to the Commander as she walked away my heart broke...poor Theron. I couldn’t not give him a second chance after he helped me on Nathema, though I’m glad we have the choice all the same.

Yep, and it's causing a lot of people to be annoyed by her now, she has several kill threads. People are tired of her being forced on their characters especially when she's not romanced lol
I considered letting Theron die on my Sith Warrior Dark Side playthrough, but after watching this and seeing Theron call out to the Commander, I'm having second thoughts...
My DS SW faced no such issues - murdered even Jaesa after they had something together when she dared standing on the opposite side

I did this. I’m running an Inquisitor who is just the worst. She is cruel, spiteful, arrogant, and it’s a miracle anyone follows her at all. She left Vette for dead, killed Senya, Arcann, Kaliyo, Koth, and Scorpio. This playthrough is pain, and I think I need a palette cleanser with a Jedi Knight when I’m done.
I only did that once. Just because I want to know all of the story aspects. And I did it with my full darkside forcerer.
All of my other characters. Sith and Jedi alike, saved him.
After all, he betrayed us only to safe us. And in the end he was willing to sacrifice himself for the Alliance.
I'm not the biggest fan of Theron. But even I had to save him on a Dark V Sith Warrior. I couldn't leave him to die. It's just too heartbreaking to know that you can kill one of the Alliance founders just to get "vengeance" against a double agent

This broke my dark shriveled Sith heart, none of my toons abandoned him and I only took two through. My DS Inquisitor nad my DS Warrior. Every time, he is saved. I adore him. Bringing my own JK (LS) through romancing (my JC is also romancing him) and saving the pretty spy boy. Theron, my Warrior hated your republic guts at first but you grew to be a trusted friend. You're always welcome at my side, Theron.

Well, having the eternal fleet didn't last long. Took two expansions to receive it and now it's gone kind of seems stupid to me. I also don't understand why people got so heart broken over this? I didn't like theron at all so leaving him there to die in the blast gave me happiness and joy
About like the artifact weapons in WoW. But at least you get to utilize the artifact weapons
I did this option on my DS SW because I have been doing a Vader style play through in where I make choices as if Vader was to make them. and man did I shed tears IRL over this scene. Theron's voice actor was amazing and super convincing!

I have like 12 characters and can't chose this option the voice actor is soo good that you can even feel the deception of Theron in his last moments in the real life a death like this is terrrible for what it means a really sad death don't let theron die this hurt

I play a fully DS Sith Juggernaut. I took the most evil options available in all cases. Killing Jaesa’s parents, choosing Torian over Vette, killing Koth. Killing Tremel, becoming the Emperor, killing Senya and Arcann. I got up to DS 4 with 0 Light Points.
But I could not kill Theron.
I killed him with my Fallen Jedi that was romancing Lana Beniko.
Then I romanced Theron Shan with my Lightside Imperial Traitor Female Agent. It was fun seeing both sides, actually.
This is honestly so hard to watch. Even if I play the most evil sadistic bastard I just can’t bring myself to take that stand. TBH I think that it would have been better for Lana to disobey your orders and save him anyways but oh well. I’m never choosing this option lol

I did this with my Inquisitor and I felt no remorse for it. Theron deserved worse
As a Dark Jedi who did this, this will not only put yourself as a mark of traitor, but also will cause Satele to come for revenge. This ending is a little bit too dark even for a dark side player I think
