Now this is how all live performances need to be filmed. All solos are shown, sound is perfect. Or as perfect as can be caught live. As much as i love the Dallas Toler-wade era (not the last couple albums), Nile is definitely a reinvigorated band with some fresh young blood roaring through it's fairly old bones. Though i seriously doubt anything will ever rival the perfection that was Annihilation of the Wicked, but how can you top that beast?
I really think Black Seeds is much underrated. I still remember being in my car when the local PHX Into the Pit DJ said "hold on to whatever furniture you have around you, here's the title track from Nile's next album due out in blah blah... BSoV". I just sat there with my jaw wide open the whole time that song played. I had already been a metalhead for over a decade at that point.... but I had never heard anything like that before. Saw them at the November to Dismember in San Bernadino in 2000 because i HAD to see that shit live. Think I saw them about 10 or so times live all total. Insane band
2:50 Sacrifice Unto Sebek 5:51 Defiling the Gates of Ishtar 10:30 Kafir 18:00 Call to Destruction 24:42 Long Shadows of Dread 29:10 In the Name of Amun 36:35 The Fiends Who Come to Steal the Magick of the Deceased 42:00 Vile Nilotic Rites 45:58 Snake Pit Mating Frenzy 49:37 The Howling of the Jinn 52:35 Sarcophagus 58:31 4th Arra of Dagon 1:01:10 Black Seeds of Vengeance
Nigga dey on some other dimension shit... Karl is a MASTER RIFF MAKER... he has a thing fir Egyptian music theory if you can't tell... THAT WHICH IS FORBIDDEN INTRO IS HEAVY AFFF MY DUDE... so I agree bro... niggas are ruling the lands!!
I concur the line up c change has energized the band Their music is like a sand storm it is all consuming blinding and impossible to withstand Nile has an intensity that few bands came match!!
