I think you’re right. I didn’t love the cold or snow or trees and forests we camped in as a boy, but me? I’m 45. I walk through snow in deep woods as often as I can and the beauty sometimes overwhelms me…and always in the back of my mind “what time do I need to be home? What time do the kids get home?” Always though, the woods call me.
Only 16 comments??!! Wow. One of the great poems of American poets. If you were ever out in the woods that were lovely, dark, and deep with the only sound of easy wind and downy flake, with or without a horse questioning why you are there, this poem means a lot more to you. The beautiful video and music as backdrop for Mr. Frost reading was outstanding.
Me too, the line really hit me and so did the way my teacher explained to us. He even searched the translated version of it in our language. It's really meaningful.
i learned this when i was in Grade 7, in 1992, Today 2023 Jan 9.... i still remmber .. and it means... i have miles to go before i sleep.. and i have miles to go before i sleep
Thank you for posting this understated poem, read by the author himself, who was born on this day in 1874 (imagine, less than a decade after the end of the American Civil War...!)🙏👍🏽👏🏼🙏👍🏽👏🏼
One of my favourite poems…it is gorgeous. Those end lines are so haunting. I didn’t care for this little film though. The wrong mood for the poem. The music too loud and cheerful, the sleigh bells a bit overdone… His voice was lost. It didn’t work for me. A shame.
When we were children, we read and memorise the poem .
When we are adults we experience and understands the poem.

It’s dark and cold and beautiful, and I think of it every winter when I walk In the woods near me
Well...most people are familiar with the poem in writing...who knew Frost made a recording of it? I was today years old when I found out.
How evocative, I only learnt about this moving poem today. Thank you.
My favorite poem of all time! Great video and a national treasure having it read by Robert Frost.
Amazing! Learned this poem in school and ever since I remember every line of it.
.. And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep..
I also

Oh! My Goodness...for I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep...
Those last four lines have much impact on those who have much to finish before leaving their mortal body.your vedeo is perfectly matching.
The background that matches the poem is really cool.
My favorite. Amazing poetry.
My fav poem ❤❤ from Kerala, India👍🏻

You're most welcome.
my favorite poet and one of my favorite poems...but leave the background music and sound effects out...the poem doesn't need it
Miles to do before I sleep.

Good to listen!

Nice
Robert Frost writes poetry like the transcendental exposition of Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Lovely 💜
Nice!
Idk why im tearing up
Me too.
☺
My favorite poem is about a man from Nantucket.
Promises to keep
Can I use your video to translate it in my language and post it in my account ?
The horse has a scar on his nose from his halter ...
Sorry too slow seems like you made pauses between each line, the poet himself reads in a minute.
The poem itself is enough to make a moving effect😊
A jamm
Robert J frost was wise.
It’s quite sad that the thumbnail isn’t woods. It’s a man-made row of trees

CUT THE MUSIC!! Frost did not ask for his poetry to be drowned out by someone's idea of musical effects. It is sacrilege.
This doesn't sound like Robert Frost at all.
