Jesus' explanation to Little James why He wouldn't heal him had me in tears. My Grace is sufficient. I will heal you, not right now. For now, tell people My Good News.
Judas' line about the Messiah not dying is what really stood out to me. It made me appreciate the writers' concerted efforts to build a plausible backstory for this historical person whom we know so little about. They make him more human than I already saw him to be and I enjoy that.
I am so thankful to have this wonderful explanation of Judas’ mindset. Instead of despising Judas, I always believed that he was absolutely necessary in fulfilling the ultimate purpose in Jesus’ life here on earth. For if Jesus hadn’t died, he could not have been resurrected. It was a dirty job but someone had to do it. Also it saddened me to know how he travailed and repented that led to his ultimate demise. ❤
The Chosen has opened my eyes and given me greater understanding. I was in Israel in early 2020. I visited all these religious sites but didn’t make a lot of connections.
My sister and i went yesturday to see The Chosen. It was wonderful. While we were talking she was bragging on you. Saying she loves when you brake things down and really explain how the words were meant back then. Im so glad to have introduce her to The Chosen and to Brandon.
I am so very grateful for the opportunity to see episodes 1&2 of Season 3 in the theater. For more reasons than I can tap out with my index finger, it helped to reshape my husband's understanding of Scripture.
Saw The Chosen on Sunday afternoon. I just have to say, my husband and I have been practicing our belief from a Messianic Isreali perspective for about 31 yrs now. I have been to Israel twice. I love the authentic feel of The Chosen and it's Jewish flavors. It's very nice to see Yeshua/ Jesus in context. Also as much as we have studied ( my husband knows Hebrew as well) we learn a lot from your little teachings. Thanks you Brandon, your a delight to learn from. Happy Thanksgiving.
I too am following the TORAH and I love it but not observing any Jewish oral traditions. Doing all the feasts from weekly Shabbat to all of the LORD's festivals have grown my love and understanding of the Bible and Yeshua. Praise Adonai!
@@siengthatep5278 Yes, many people call them " The Jewish " Feasts but you are right, they are Creator YHVH's Feasts. The whole Body of The Lord should learn and understand them. They are ALL a type and shadow of Yeshua. There is even a scripture that says, In the Messianic Day's when Yeshua is ruling from Jerusalem, peoples from all tongues, tribes and nations must send emissaries up to Israel to observe Sukkot. My husband and I fell like we are practicing for those Day's. 😊😍
Pastor Brandon, thank you for all you do!! I’ve not been able to see episodes 1&2 of season 3 in the theater- I’ll have to wait to watch it on the app!! I’m excited to see what happens next!! Your ministry is such a blessing to me!! Wishing you and your family a wonderful thanksgiving & holiday season!! God bless!!😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏
My husband and I went to see it yesterday and WOW! Dallas and the crew have done it again, they did a splendid job in their character development. Bravo to the cast and crew. I am really looking forward to the rest of the season unfolding. The interactions between Gaius and Atticus were great, particularly the hilarious interaction when Gaius was on his horse while Atticus was talking to him. Great explanation of the nuances behind the story. :-)
I didn't know you were a Pastor. I just thought you had a passion for the scriptures and Christ and were sharing what you found with us. Thank you for sharing this and other insights that you learned during your studies.
I was happy I got to see the episodes at the cinema with daughter in law and granddaughter. I'm trying to spread the word in my church I wish more would see The Chosen
Thank you for your insights on The Chosen. It has really helped me have a deeper understanding on the Series and the Biblical aspects of what is going on. Thank you.
I’m so glad for this video. I shared it with my husband who didn’t see what I saw in season 3 at the theatre. It was amazing. It Touched my heart truly.
Thanks for your insights Brandon, great to learn more about what was going on at the time of Jesus and how he changed what was expected of him. Truly you are a very knowledgable pastor and teacher and your views are always spot on :)
Thank you brother Robbins for yet another insightful video. I will not get to see the new episodes until they are released on the app. Just gives me time to go through seasons 1 and 2 again. I'm excited for season 3 and hearing how even more people are drawn to the Lord through the Chosen series. To God be the glory. God bless you and yours and have a wonderful Thanksgiving day. Saw season 3, episodes 1&2 on opening day. I was already looking forward to watching it again but more so now knowing this new info. Thanks for the explanations.
This has been very enlightening! Thank you for sharing. This is how I have been led to see what Judas was about. I learned this from a skit we did at church depicting "The Last Supper" in which each of the disciples stand one at a time and does a piece describing what they thought about what was happening to Jesus. " Is it me who betrays Jesus? ". This skit was so powerful, I feel people let this destroy our church. As shortly afterwards, our church split. The enemy has so many tools and lions to devour us. Be ye watchful for the wolves.
Beautifully done Brother Robin ❤️ I haven't seen it yet, but just hearing what you shared made sense to me how those who did see it cried.🌺🤗🌹🕊️🔥Aloha from Hawaii ❤️🤙
Just finished reading Isaiah and Ezekiel where God warned Israel for decades thru the prophets to turn from their horrid idolatry and human sacrifice Then God turned them over to their enemies

We can only really understand Christianity from a Torah perspective. So much has been removed from its original context, and some people try to apply modern, western values and references to ancient Hebrew concepts. I think gentile believers take SO much on faith, not really understanding the larger picture ; but, for so long Christians just accepted the strange and unfamiliar writings without really knowing why or what’s going on. That’s faith! Jewish Believers often read Isaiah 53 and so much more, and say, “Well. No one else can possibly be Messiah.” They come to faithful saving knowledge in Yeshua as a natural conclusion based on cultural truths. We gentiles really do need to grab hold of our Elder Brothers’ coats and beg them to teach us. Instead we’ve allowed sin via anti-Semitism nearly ruin everything.
I had the opportunity to see this in the theater a couple of days ago. I’m waiting for others in my family to catch up on the entire series so that I can go and watch it a second time!! Most beautiful & meaningful series❤️❤️❤️❤️

As always I enjoy your teachings, Brandon. Learning lots about Bet Midrash, and the Jewish schoolings. I knew it was important but not how much. You have really cleared up a lot. Thank you. My Shabbat teacher, Michael Ohman, said in one of his teachings that Judas Iscariot was a Sicarii, a branch of the zealots. I actually have more compassion and understanding why he did what he (and others) did because he had such high hopes and expectations that Yeshua would be the Messiah the Jews had been waiting for and with such high hopes that through Him Israel would be liberated from Roman powers and oppression. Id love to know the books that you read to gain all of this knowledge. Just saw it tonight. Much better than the Xmas special! The songs just killed me on the special. E1&2 are really good! I want to know more about the guy following Simon the zealot....sounds like he is reporting to Caesar and Pilate so he has a little upper hand over the roman official? I forgot his name...the set up with Judas was really good. I noticed that too that he said that at the end...it was helpful throughout the chosen to hear this, that there was an expectation that Jesus would overthrow Rome
There is so much truth in there that when it gets to the part where they pretend to be able to read Matthew's mind that they make it almost believable as fact. It is true that now I have seen the scriptures through different eyes. I have now seen the scriptures through the eyes of deceitful demons. Only demons can inspire a blend of truth with lies. I praise God for giving me truth through His Word to discern the fictitious. Glory to God for His sheltering wings!
The former pastor who led the tour I went on last week said that the ruins under the church were thought to be Peter's mother-in-law's house. Is there two thoughts on that (one being it was Peter's house the other it was Peter's mother-in-law's) or did he just possibly misspoke?
The Chosen is taking a fascinating path in the characterization of Judas. While I agree with Pastor Brandon that Judas' misunderstanding of what the Messiah would do is key to his downfall, I think the show is establishing that facet of his mindset as just the foundation. There will be many events that will pile on top of that until he finally cracks.
Hi thank you for sharing. Will you mind let us know the title of the blue book that you have in your desk on most of your videos? Aldo can you recomend a Jewish bible? Thanks in advance. Be blessed.
I love the Chosen but I believe that Mary was a virgin before, during and after childbirth. She never had any other children. The Greek word for brother is adelphos, which means brother but not necessarily blood brothers born from the same mother. It is also used to describe other familial relationships such as cousins and nephews. The same is true with Hebrew, the language of the majority of the books of the Old Testament, and Aramaic, the language of Jesus. The word for brother meant blood brothers and sisters as well as cousins and other familial relationships. If Jesus had brothers why, on the cross, would He give His mother to the apostle John and not to a brother?
Not Judas only , even his other disciples thought like that. Peter , James , John have examples that show us that they believed in the fighting Messiah not dying.
I’ve heard several different theories as to exactly WHY Judas betrayed Jesus. Of course, the writers of the Gospels didn’t go into detail about this other than to say that satan entered his heart. It will be interesting to see the theory that The Chosen uses.
Brandon.... Matthew was right!! When the prophet Malachi stepped off the earthly stage around 450 B.C., no genuine prophetic voice was heard again for about 500 years. We know this period as the intertestamental period-the gap between dispensations in the Old and New Testaments.
When we "lean on our own understanding", having assumed and anticipated God's WILL and it DOESN'T happen, if we do not repent from this foolish notion, it WILL bring on extreme disappointment, leading to disillusionment, depression and anger at God, ending in complete rejection of God’s purposes and plans for us and His Kingdom. 😞 Yes, I could see myself a zealot, if I lived in those days, therefore I cannot cast a stone at this man knowing, I may have done the very same thing that Judas did?
You should try reading the Book of Mormon. It is a second witness of our Savior Jesus Christ. I promise it will change your life for the better! Merry Christmas to one and all!!
I think you said the Jewish boys read and studied the Talmud and then the Midrash during Jesus' day. But my reading says these were not in written form until later. And for The Chosen to suggest that anyone had studied at that level seems very odd as well. Don't get me wrong: I love The Chosen. I will watch season 3 as soon as it reaches overseas where I live. And I have benefited from some of your (Brandon's) videos as well. But it seems that the sources I have read contradict what "Judas" claims and what you are describing.
Did not receive my tickets after having purchased through ANGEL; found out through theater that they did not see my purchase.. I had to buy another ticket and my bank was notified and advised to nor trust nor purchase through ANGEL.
The verses he's speaking about in Zachariah, and others such as ones in Jeremiah speak of a conquering messiah, while others speak of a peaceful messiah that comes as a Lamb. Many Jewish Rabbies think that when their messiah comes it'll be two men, two messiah's. Their confused, and not seeing that these Scriptures are speaking of One Messiah, that He will fulfill all these Scriptures, the Man Jesus the Christ. The Son of the Living True God.
If Judas had gone bowling instead of Jesus to the romans, we'd all be screwed. Who among the desciples could have accomplished this besides the one who had studied to that point? Judas wasn't just a street rat, or even a shopkeeper. He was Doctorate level student of theology. Hardest job in history. Judas had to leave earth to make solid ending to his task. No one was allowed to murder him for their perceived wrong. Wouldn't surprize me one bit if Judas is the one sitting at the right hand in Heaven. 2000 years of undeserved shame. He knew the price and accepted the job. That's guts.
Episode 2 made me cryyyy in the theater. I just couldn’t handle it. It’s like God spoke directly to me through the show.

For those who have seen the episodes, what was the very last word in episode one? I’m drawing a blank.
Son
@@BrandonRobbinsMinistry thank you, Brandon. Happy Thanksgiving!
WOAH....spoilers. Not yet, I have not seen it. I will come back after I have had a chance to watch it.
Same!
Interesting.
Jesus chose Judas and knew that Judas would betray him.
That is how much Jesus loves us💙
We have to see how things play out. We have no idea what Judas is going to do.
