It's so true, even at distance, the mics on the iPhone 16 Pros are pretty good. Think it's also good for those who don't want to spend more on equipment and just want to get started with video creation on the go!
Buddy, great job on the review. A bit of personal constructive criticism (take it or leave it) but I would recommend to drop the background audio a little more. I specifically put my AirPods Pro with noise cancellation enabled to listen to the mic differences and that part was great, however, once you begin to give your opinions based on your review the music in the background is very distracting. Otherwise, great job on the review!
We agree 16 Pro Max sounds great, but what type are the audio files it can export and with what frequency (Hz)? Because when its about to become audio mix later on a PC this information is critical.
The voice memo's app exports in m4a files at 48kHz. that's pretty good quality but there are also third party apps that can recored in uncompressed audio files on the iPhone.
@@xenofonpsarras2986 Garage Band is a great one for iPhone that's free. allows you to record in WAV or AIFF for uncompressed best quality. Voice Record Pro app also is a good option for WAV files at best quality. It also has slightly more options for sample rates and bit depth. Also is free. Both are great but i would go with Voice Record Pro for ease of use. I'm planning on doing another video more in-depth on the audio pretty soon.
Also if you're recording directly on iPhone, Black Magic camera app can record in Linear PCM which is also lossless so highest quality from the iPhone microphones. That's also free and is great for more recording video and high quality audio at the same time.

Let me know if you interested and I would love to craft something for you! :-)

iPhone hands down pretty amazing.
Thank you Jay. How well the iPhone handled the outdoors wind noise was quite amazing. Nice to know.
For a phone that’s actually pretty good
wow it blew the rest out of the water
Can u compare to iPhone 16 regular? Please 🙏 maybe as a Short
is it just in the max or the pro too?
Both have the same mics
What about 16plus ? Does it have it too ?@@jayfvisuals
great test
Thank you!
Iphone 16 pro max sounds so good.
Is the sound quality coming from the software or the actual mic hardware? At what downgrade level from 16 Pro Max are these feature benefits lost?
Would love to know if the studio mic array works when plugged into external mic 😮
Also wondering if you would say this is worth upgrading from 15 pro, just for the microphone 😮

Can you name some of those apps? Perhaps even tell us which app you believe is better than others and why
