Hours? I'd say that just 5 seconds of this would take hours. This whole thing for sure took weeks and a ton of effort to make.

+rap RD oh i mean..i render the synfig animation into ".png files"..you can select it in the render dialogue on synfig. after that, ill open the png files using "virtualdub software" ,and save it as an .avi file..

I'm considering getting Synfig to start animating, I have Plastic Animation Paper, but it decided to give me a lot of trouble and often times won't respond. Have you ever had issues renaming/saving files, or any instances of the program just not responding for an extend time?
I use PAP.
I don't really have much issues with my copy.

This is amazing!!! Wow if I could get results like this in Synfig I'd be PRETTY damn pleased. I never made anything with it but I messed with it a few times a year ago and now that I have a graphics tablet I was thinking of giving it a go later. How long have you been animating with this software? Do you have a background in animation before Synfig?

that is bad ass man. I didnt know what to expect cuz I have slow net and it took a while to load but it was worth the trouble. I really hope you do more like these. Although no pressure do what you please!

Cool animation. You mentioned you needed narration in one part. Do you have any voice acting roles that you need to cast at this point?

1. how long did it take?..about 2-3 months without proper planning and workflow
2.how did i add sound?. its not on synfig its on another program
3. started the animation while im learning synfig from the start so it took me longer to make this video because im still learning..i learn from tutorials in youtube and in synfig.org
4. yes, but i dont have the luxury of time to make tutorials..

I would now like to ask you a little quetion : How do you do more for the same band on stage film about Synfig software? I even I try to make films but I can make more of the same video , I have to recreate a stage apart and I can not associate with each other. Thank you in advance for your answer. Hello , I wanted to say is that if I want to make a film , I start with the first scene and then do the second . The problem is that I can not stick these two sets scenes for it to make a continuous sequence (as you show in the video ) and not silk that I have to change the folder to show the rest of my movie .. . Thank you for responding so soon !!! Goodbye !!!
oh, i see..yes me neither, i am not merging two or more scenes together in a 1 mega-file , i am still figuring it out how to do that,..besides , it is more efficient to work in different files and render each of the scenes separately, that way it will be easy to tweak and change any mistakes in a particular scene without re-rendering the entire movie.. I personally render each of the scene 1 by 1 , and then use another software to merge them together and for composition. :)

well, actually i used a video editing program to add sounds. :)

well..flash animation is good ..is just that synfig studio is free and of course a pretty straight forward software, if you know what i mean..

you can start with that tutorials.if you wanted to make anime, my advise is that keep practicing making manga and make VECTOR Graphics out of them,you will gonna need those vectors later on...

How the heck did you make this? I mean, I know you used Synfig but seriously, this takes some serious talent and time. I could never figure out how to use these damn programs. They're way too advanced. Splendid work though.

I play korean, japanese, and american mabi, though havent played it in a few months. I love the story and Hanstone is a genius with the music.

I have trouble just keeping track of about 20, even after grouping them...
hahah yeah theres a lot of layers! you may want to separate the scenes to make it more easier

Does anyone know... is Synfig sa good as, or any better than, Adobe Flash Pro? The fact that Synfig is free makes me a bit skeptical, but it looks pretty easy and, as this video seems to prove, it also looks like it is capable of pretty descent animation.
Well, Synfig does inbetween frames for you, so you don't have to do frame by frame. it will fill in the inbetween. But it can't just magically mke your character walking. Watch some turtorials if you like.

Source Engine (HL/Portal) footsteps? I think I'd recognize them anywhere, in any context.
Synfig looks like a very cool tool. Too bad I can't draw at all, so it won't help me ahahahahaha. Still, it might be fun to mess around with it and see what I can/can't do.

hey van I found a good free open source software that lets you record and edit your own voice.
it called audacity it completely free and easy to use maybe it can help you with your future animations later on if your planning on adding voices

This animation is poggers! It is amazing, I wanted to animate like this, but since I am using an old 32bit laptop, I can only use Synfig and VG.

what sound program?
did you really do this with synfig? I wonder if I should leave flash permanently? and support snyfig instead! flash is just to much cost of maintenance rather than blowing my money on them I should put it towards synfig at least until they perfect it to a nice good working environment and having all the rich features that flash and many high end animation software's have, even then I will still continue my support. Personally i'm getting sick an tire of flash! and it's limitations.
I want to know those it do good with frame by frame like in pencil2d? it's just my preference. give detail or show me some demos you may have stash up! even if is a few seconds, if is not to much trouble.
I would also like to see the rest of this video I was getting suck into it.

yes i made the animation with synfig alone but for the drawings i used other programs such as CS5 and inkscape.. for me im using synfig because of:
1. its a open source program( ofcourse hahah)
2.its still developing (testing the product would mead helping the dev team)
3.i havent tried flash but for synfig i find it easier to animate..
4.the program is simple and straight forward even without any animation background(like me) can do animations.
5.pencil2d and tupi are good frame by frame programs..but for synfig although it has the same features but im not really using it..
for some file......on synfig i can send some of the scenes.. ill give the URL later..

thanks! if that's the case it seems snyfig is just barely getting started. I mean remember Blender when it first came about? no body like it, but now look at it! makes you wonder what those other software that was never given a good try would have been all about! like pencil2d and mypaint (totally love this one but there has not been any updates in like forever, although I use it everyday just wish they fix some bugs like the eyedropper it crashes on me sometimes).
anyways I will look into it. I guess i would have to subscribe to see any future videos you might make with this. after seeing this vid I know your serious so I think i,m in good hands.
