Normally I’m all for Sun Young and her attitude on food, I don’t think it’s healthy but other than that, so what, her life her body. However it did make me really sad that she felt the need to criticise the fact that it was healthy, healthy doesn’t mean bad food, and Hon Jin Young said she spent hours cooking it, even when I hate food, if it was made with good intentions I thank them for considering me.

@Madness so what if they are sisters? Especially if my sister would critisize something I did for her working for hours for her well being and still not be grateful, I would feel even more hurt than a stranger. Being siblings doesn't make it better in this situation

Why the pd always put the volcano background to their mom. She isnt always angry. Yes there time that she looks angry. But most of time the put the volcano, their mom expression doesnt say she angry at all. It give bad impression for their mom to be a mother that always restrict their daughter on what they want to do.
It is an angry expression, the mom doesn't show that many expressions.
And the volcano is more like bubbling anger/irritation inside, instead of like actual anger.

She was so rude taking all that sashimi for herself. When you eat with other people it’s rude to just eat as much of everything as you want without considering if others want to eat it too. Especially since the sashimi is the most expensive food there and everyone probably likes it.

Exactly my thoughts when i saw that scene. I dont think she only does that on her birthday, considering her eating pattern (even though everybody would probably let her coz its her day) I would feel very selfish for taking all the good food for myself without considering others especially when somebody else prepared them for me.

One should be grateful to the fact that someone took the effort to cook that too healthy food. And it obviously came to bite her in the recent episodes where she has a severe fatty liver. But it still isn't that late if she makes changes to her attitude about food immediately.

Being healthy doesnt necessarily mean you need to eat 'bad' food. A chicken thigh for a diet isn't so bad. Less salt isn't bad. Organic fruit isn't bad. I just hope people will understand that healthy food doesn't necessarily mean that it's bland and doesn't taste good.
Eating late at night is the reason she is so big. I applaud Jinyoung for preparing the food healthily. Sunyoung has to let her body heal and digest. That is what is not happening. Diabetes and digestive issues are going to be knocking on Sunyoung's door if it hasn't already.
Eating late at night has nothing to do with it it just stores energy so you can burn it in the morning.

As much as I love the dynamic between these 2 and I thoroughly love watching these-- I was so annoyed with Sunyoung for being such a brat to her sister. I will likely be spending my birthday alone on Sunday and I would give anything to have a family member cook for me, doesn't matter what the meal.

To be honest i don’t think it’s her fault. Yeah she eats a lot but i think they cut out most of what they do together. There are parts in the show that really show her and her sisters humor really well together, but not much because they focus on her eating. There was an ep where she stated she didn’t eat much that day and was just doing stuff but instead the first scene they show us is her first big meal. I wish they would show other sides of her because when she’s actually going around she’s really funny.

Her doctor kept reprimanding her regarding her health yet she doesn't care and was told she would die if she kept such diet. It's best to keep her on a dried bread and water diet to know that what her sister cooked for her is something of a blessing.
I can understand Suns reason for not wanting healthy food for her bday (I compared it to having my bday breakfast instead of say steak eggs and pancakes to having oatmeal - yuck) but I wouldn’t have criticized her sister who worked really hard. She really cares about her big sister!

To all those comments thinking that Sun Young is being ungrateful, well, this is pretty normal for almost every Asian family. It’s even happened to me where I’ve tried to cook & my parents, siblings, grandparents & my great-grandma (before she passed) criticized me. I’m an over weight girl myself (like... hella) and I used to eat like Sun, but I managed to cut down to 1-2 meals a day, sometimes no meals but tiny snacks and exercise. I love the Hong sisters they’re so cute but seeing Sun ungrateful and Jin worry about her sister is sad ㅠ ㅠ

It’s not centered around her eating habits, the show is more centered around her relationship with her sister jinyoung, it’s just that whenever they’re shooting the show she’s almost always eating and that’s not healthy for her. And they’re not mocking her, they’re worried about her, I saw in another video that when she went to the doctor, her examination results came out really bad and she has so many health problems. She’s in great danger of having a dangerous disease which is why they’re trying to make her lose weight and eat healthier.

Usually, in my country, fat girls who gobbled up their food are not a good sign because if they become a girlfriend or wife, too expensive to spend on her food. We don't find it cute or funny to see women stuffing their mouth full, like there's no tomorrow. It is our culture, when eating with hand, chopsticks or fork & spoon to eat slowly, making least munching sounds. We respect other diners at the meal table. This eating manner are trained from young at home by mothers.
I do find it strange that when eating Koreans take big bites or shove large amounts of food in their mouths. I would choke, but I've been told that is how they show they enjoy the food. I know slurping and making noise shows appreciation of noodles in Japan as well. In my household, we don't eat like that. We take our time and don't make much noise. I just hate messy eaters.
