Alessia Cara is so sweet, talented and articulate. She is such a great role model for my daughters. I love how she is so modest and positive. #FinallyTrueArtistry
She's so sweet! Love her parlando italiano!! Ho capito tutto of what she said. Unfortunately my italian is rusty because i have no one to speak it with. But i understand when i listen to it.
She is Canadian, born and raised in Canada, but her parents are Italians on 100%, from Brancaleone, Calabria. They traveled to Brampton, Canada when Alessia wasn't born anyway. It's a normal thing if her speaks two languages (Italian and English), in a fluent way. She have a strong Calabrese accent and when she speak Italian all feel that accent.🇮🇹❤️
When she spoke Italian she sonded a lot like a friend of mine from 2nd grade when i was in Italy.....and she's really good even though she only said a few words
Nationality is adopted ethnicity is who you are if that makes sense nationality is the vastness of an individual's ethnicity is biologically what ethic background that are from Alessia Cara is italian Canadian she is a second generation Italian of course she can speak in such a dialect her mother is a first generation Italian immigrant she's Been taught two languages growing up
When I see her I see my wife, no one else in the world looks like her and I'm glad it's this amazing person. When I mean she looks like her I mean they would pass as nearly identical twins, no matter which way she looks she has every feature like her.
Err nothing against the girl but she doesn't speak Italian fluently. She did another interview I just watched on Radio Monte Carlo and it was 80% in English. Err....
How? speaking with your hands is a form of expression. If your're trying to add emotions to your words and you can't verbally, you do it physically. that's literally it.
Patrick Dimeo-Edwards I dont find it comical! Most people including myself speak with my hands as an expression sometimes as well. And I'm not italian. Correction! SOME italian's express themselves using hand gestures to describe whatever they're talking about! btw Frm my experience not just 1 Italian stated that, majority I've came across wether thru television or in person always mention hand gestures. If I offended u, I apologize I was actually stickin up for Alessia bc of the rude comment.
Patrick Dimeo-Edwards Mmmmm I'm not sure if I agree with this comment because I think every language emphasizes emotion (I speak 4 languages) I don't think speaking a Romance language changes anything. From what I have learned through my experience living in Italy: the reason hand gestures are so common come is an effect from all of the dialects. In a country where most people (years ago) couldn't understand each other they began to use gestures like sign language (sign language is my second language) to communicate. I have noticed that in Italian Sign Language they use gestures that all Italians are familiar with. Whereas in American Sign Language this isn't the case. This is just what I have learned from my experience in Italy.
