This melodic synth-pop intelligent and perceptive lyrical approach to the human condition while dressed as a techno-hobo phase of Al's career is fascinating and awesome.
Of course he is all of the drugs he's taken have altered his Mind and body plus this is over 36 years ago. I would think he has changed a lot since then.
Look at how cool Uncle Al was here...his fashion sense and singing style..what an incredibly gifted artist...he was way ahead of his time...thnx so much for uploading this gemstone...truly inspiring and wonderful 🥰
Amazing. It's hard to imagine how good this was back then. This is live. Live footage of this type of music is rare, or sounds terrible. Yeah NINy and others attempted to recreate this years after the fact. Al had moved on. See: Mind is a terrible thing to taste. 🖤
LOL, Reznor definitely did not attempt to emulate this considering by this time he was already in other synth pop bands and you can't really say early NIN sounds anything like this. He ultimately accomplished a lot in his own right, I don't think he was on Al's trail for too long. "Mind.." was 5 years after this. Plus, Al disavowed this part of his career, while Reznor was never ashamed of his poppier side.
Oh my gosh,I’ve never seen this before!❤️😢🖤🖤🖤🖤 I always loved this song,it’s just amazing to see a live performance of it! I really love the softer vocals by Al Jourgensen on the older Ministry (also enjoy the “harder” singing he does on their other albums) His voice is beautiful and he is an amazing performer 🌹 I think it’s super cool he’s wearing a dress!🌹
So true, beautiful girl. 💋💕😘 Al is so amazing and charismatic! His voice is so beautiful! And I love his dance moves too. This song is so haunting and he really understands and knows what us working class people go through. 😢
This is hands down the greatest thing I’ve seen thus far on TH-cam...Ministry were the most uniquely beautiful Nuwave synth-pop band ever in the whole freaking world...100Xs better than Depeche Mode who got inducted in the RnR HOF last year...Ministry deserve that honor before those fuckers and before NIN too...Ministry kick the living crap out of NIN...this song alone (as well as many others) is way better than anything DM or NIN ever put out.
It's hard to imagine how good this was back then. This is live. Live footage of this type of music is rare, or sounds terrible. Yeah NINy attempted to recreate this years after the fact. Al had moved on. See: Mind is a terrible thing to taste. 🖤
Well Depeche Mode Stayed Consistent putting out Good Albums For Two Decades...While I Agree i like With Sympathy and Ministry 1981 to 1986 Al Went off the Deep end and didn't Put out the Consistent quality Depeche Mode did
I don't get it. Al writes this stuff off and doesn't even consider it to be part of his catalog, yet it's probably his best stuff...and I started listening to Ministry with the Land of Rape and Honey!
Al Jourgensen is a bit of a tryhard to seem like some sort of deranged, harcore redneck or something. Has been since the late 80s. I think he made a huge mistake completely ditching the melody and electronic element later on. Twitch was a tour-de-force album IMO. Perfect straddling of pop and industrial. Al and Adrian really, truly had something worth keeping up.
Not in this concert, "All Day" was a single released two years before the Twitch album, hence its appearing in this setlist. There aren't too many good quality bootlegs of Twitch tour performances, the one really good one was the Toronto 86 show, although as it's a pretty early show and a radio recording, it's a bit truncated (I assume), doesn't have the alternate arrangements of Isle Of Man or All Day.
In his book Al Jourgensen repeatedly claimed that Clive Davis hoodwinked him into a contract whereby he had to produce this kind of music. He doesn't look like he's been hoodwinked here, does he? Nobody is twisting his arm up behind his back to perform.

I dare someone to top your description of this era of ministry
..... Did you seriously just write that..............
🤦
people were still people then...
This nigguh gqy bro
I love this fuckin synth era of Ministry
I’m in this video somewhere in the crowd
I'm the one singing 😈🌊
The quality of this footage is surprising
I was 9 when I first listened to this albums, it was my mother’s. So glad she had this album.
WOW!! I could listen to this ALL DAY!!!!
Wax Trax days in Chicago! None of us can get back
Al's almost a completely different person these days. I love the thrash/industrial metal they do but this era is absolutely unbeatable.
Of course he is all of the drugs he's taken have altered his Mind and body plus this is over 36 years ago. I would think he has changed a lot since then.
yeh i was think Ministry's evolution is more like what drug abuse can do to someone
@@olddaze401
Well I could see him turning to hard drugs after the trauma of going through this period of his musical evolution...
@@NoOne-sn2si lmao💀

"That was our new single on Wax Trax! called All Day..." @5:47 how cool is that?
Early ministry and front 242 just cannot be topped
Ya no existen grupos así en el 2024 con semejante fuerza abismal, los 80s fue lo mejor 🤟🤟
I was at this show. The Channel
More of this, please! This is tremendous footage of a Chicago legend, if you have any more, please share it with us!
Where is the rest of this show? That's 3 songs so far in amazing quality. Shaaaaaare!!!!!!
@@karijirionkirionk8837 Thank you!!!! Picture and sound are incredible.
Thank you!!!!!
I agree 💯, put it on DVD!!!!!!!
Ministrys best song
i love the way they move

Always hoped to get a group together to “air band” this track. 2 keyboards, 3 percussion, and a singer!
Wow, never seen the Amboy Dukes. Thanks Mr Nugent. But I bought several of your albums as a teenager and still love your music to this day
Seeing him do the Cyndi lauper skip dance so cute lol

Yeah idk about that one, but this song is admittedly amazing
Ministry didn't continue with this industrial-pop and NIN just picked up where Al left off.
Relax. Lol

"The label made me write this stuff"
Yeah imma call bullshit look how into it he is
This is after he left Arista dude.
Yep... and he finishing his career with a remake of within sympathy. Yeah ok Al

Супер ПЕСНЯ!!!!!
Simply amazing.

Awesome very Awesome!!!! When Ministry play good music not the crap music hes playing Now!!!
Killer tune!!!

Ministry sounding like NIN, long before NIN existed. As well as thousands of other bands trying to sound like Ministry.
Nin 😂😂😂😂
Love it disco ministry
what a cool version of "all day" and some interesting dress sense there lol
Dexys Midnight Bummer
holy moses
fuck yes!
GAWDAMN!
énorme live !!!
Check out the Al Jourgensen podcast from The Heavy with Andrew and Don. They did a great episode on Ministry and I had to check out this song after
Al released this after his unsuccessful audition to be a member of Dexy’s.
I don't get it. Al writes this stuff off and doesn't even consider it to be part of his catalog, yet it's probably his best stuff...and I started listening to Ministry with the Land of Rape and Honey!

Al is so spry back then
Did nobody say anything to Al before he went on stage wearing that outfit? Lolll
А где ещё пела темнокожая девушка на бэк-вокале?
throw them shapes AL?
I wonder what eventually got them so angry 😂
There's your industrial god lol
never mind every day is halloween or the shasta commercial, that outfit should top the list of things uncle al is most ashamed of!
This is bitchin’!
Any chance there are most songs from Twitch live like this?
This cold war era music is perfect for Ukraine rn (we believe)

Who is the female keyboard player?
Patty Jourgensen, the wife of Al Jourgensen (in 1984).
@@SyntheticFilms Had a hunch that it was her. Is she also on the cover of the 'Nature Of Love' single? It kind of looks like her.
@@NITE_SHIFTING Yes! She was on the cover (edit: that's not true) and sings the female vocals on that track and on "The Angel"!

Al's Cigarettes and lighter lol. Lets play wheres waldo.
In his book Al Jourgensen repeatedly claimed that Clive Davis hoodwinked him into a contract whereby he had to produce this kind of music.
He doesn't look like he's been hoodwinked here, does he? Nobody is twisting his arm up behind his back to perform.
He wasn't intelligent enough to see that he could have been cooler like front 242 and skinny puppy-dig it era, and been more aggressive.what a loss.
I listen to this song when I pick up dog shit.
Ha ha, must a been before boi,/ just one fix for this bullshit!!!
look there is a black girl singing with them
No wonder Al is a terrible drug addict..... if i remembered doing this I'd want to forget too!
Oct 84, i was 19. This is crap. Give me me Iron Maiden!
this is so lame
No it isn't Youngster....
You're lame.
A black person dancing to this doesn’t look quite right lol.
