Something tells me this Landy is a keeper. The mechanics last forever with maintenance and you're making it your own place. Lots of space to refurbish inside. It's going to be greeeaaat!

Its amazing how some NATO paint can completely transform a vehicle, from something that doesn't look road worthy to a really tidy vehicle that your proud to drive.

Yep....looks very clean, much better...that's gonna be a fun vehicle. Wish I had that kind of clearance on my truck, there's no roads here, folk just tell ya to go that away and turn left at the cows.....Enjoy your new home, it's turning out great.

Hi Liam, that Land Rover looks much better in NATO green and black, as a trainee trucker I would advise measuring the over-all height and get a height marker in the cab so you know the MINIMUM height of bridge that it will fit under! Also if you are lifting her you will have to start driving her like she is a truck with a high centre of gravity. I am going to paint my Iveco NATO green to blend in behind my Army 12x12 tent at 40's events! With black bumpers and side trim. I look forward to how she progresses

You know what's awesome for taking some of that thick filler off a file rasp it's got a handle like a plane and you can get it nice and flat then put a really nice neat coat of filler over to fill the rasp marks. Thing looks awesome though, if the chassis is solid it's a very good buy although everything is repairable on those anyway.
I am loving watching this project. Can wait to see what you have planned for the inside.

Passed a vehicle like yours on the A1 and it surprised me how fast it was going 70+ . It had ambulance faded out on its side and it too looked really good. Stealth has well and truly gone out of the window lol.

Careful with the lift kit Liam. I did the same on a Defender years ago. Made it very unsteady. I should have lengthened the radius arms to suit but didn’t. I removed the lift kit and sold it on. Went a different route with set of wider rims with 265/75 16 BF Goodrich A/T tyres and a set of wheel spacers
that green will blend in nice in those welsh valleys

Back in the 80s me and a mate used to go off road in his ex army Land Rovers which were a V8 101 a long wheel base 109 and a 1968 Lightweight with cut away wheel arches, they were all painted in Nato Green. Yours looks terrific and brings back a lot of good memories for me. I hope you have as much fun as we did, I am one envious nearly 60 year old!!👍👍👍

Love the colour, the chequered plate always looks the 🥜 on a Landy too 👍
Fit anti roll bars if it hasn't got any makes a big difference and will help with the high cog.

Love that green, what a classic mate.
Loving it. Lift kit is maybe what you need but familiarise yourself with the drive first as issues may arise such as propshaft vibration at certain speeds. Drive slow and steady upto 60mph before and after lift to check. Also so much difference in quality of kits... As said anti roll bars may help with stability on road but you'll have to fit 2" spacer blocks to allow for lift.
