Just beautiful. For 6 years we have lived in Germany with our '13 Shelby GT500. It has been a blast to drive at 300 KM/H or 180+ MPH at times. On average I would do 130 to 150 MPH because there's so much roadwork going on. I never quite got used to passing the Polizei like they were standing still and they don't come after you. On 28 November we are moving back to Florida. Right now she is somewhere in the Atlantic. We won't see her again until approximately 11 January 2023, a month and a half! At least she can be driven all year in FL. Once the kids are out of the house, a Corvette could be in the cards. My wife loves them. She hates the snake on the Shelby.

Love it Dude, I have a1972 Stingray Witha 383 Stroker. Never been Dynoed but it should produce around 400 hp. It has a 350 hydromatic street and strip trans with a 3000 stall converter and 3.73 to 1 rear gears and it runs like a scalded ape! I love your vette man...Mine is Midnight blue. Alway good to know another Corvette man. Wish I could send a photo to ya.
You said it's poked and stroked to 468 ci with "raised" heads, roller rockers, an 850 double pumper Quick Fuel carb, and "everything else" to make it fast. What cam did you put in it...lift, duration, etc. Flat tappet, solid, or hydraulic roller lifters? Rockers on a shaft of studs? Rotating assembly? Is it something like an Eagle or Scat crank and rods? Just curious because I am going to build something of my own pretty soon. Thank you.
Awesome car. I have a '76 small block. How well does your car take corners and hug the road with the big block in it? I put a big block in my Gen 2 z28 and it no longer would corner well. It would nose dive during braking and the rear end would let loose while in the throttle on curves. I was wondering about how well a Corvette would do on back roads with the heavier engine.
Hey thanks for the comment! It does pretty well around turns. There is a slight nose dive while breaking because of the big block. Because of how much torque this monster has trying to accelerate out of turns results in a massive slide. If this car wasn’t as torquey it would probably do a lot better out of corner but unfortunately this one is just made for going straight.
Yes you’re absolutely right! That’s why they are high performance wire rims. Those rims would have snapped long ago from how much torque this beast puts out 😂

Hey thanks for the comment! The pistons external oil cooler heads and transmission all came with this vehicle although all the reinforcing parts such as rings lifters cam etc came from summit racing. I hope you enjoy your new vehicle! They are awesome.

On my 71 was afraid to go with the cam lobe like this one because of the vacuum needed for the headlights and windshield wiper doors. Any problem? is this automatic? I am running a 383 small block 430hp and after the 130mph mark, it's like driving on marbles?
Thanks for the comment. Mine is an automatic transmission. I have not had any problems with the vacuum on the headlights except for the fact they come up one at a time. 😂 these cars are very interesting when you take them above 100. I’ve had the same feeling.
I have had it up to 115. With its high gearing I don’t really think it’ll go much faster. It’s more of a “get there VERY QUICKLY” kind of car. Not to mention the whole thing is vibrating at that speed 😂
Just to say a C3 vett was my dream car. I had one back in the 80s but couldn’t afford the insurance on it . Then i had kids😩 so i was waiting for them to be on there own and then i became blind from diabetes so there went my dreams. Don’t get me wrong I’ve built a few awsum cars and trucks though the yrs.

Take a look at a Yamaha MT-07 or R1 with an exhaust on it. They sound like an open header V8 low in the RPMs
