Especially Cheap Trick they are one of my all-time favorites! Not too familiar with Saxon or Uriah Heep. Being a “pop kid”, it’s kind of out of my wheelhouse. But I certainly think they are talented. Saw Cheap Trick back in March, opening up for no other than Suzi Quatro! They looked quite spry and rock-and-rollerous then, but, of course, if you're coming on before Suzi (who at 70 whatever is still absolutely fierce) you have to bring your A game, don't you?
Wow, Ann Wilson really does seem to be struggling now. I've seen Heart a number of times since the '90s and all of their shows were great and she sounded like it was still the 1970s singing. I think the last time I saw them was when they were touring with Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Tribute band opening for them. Heart has always been a big Led Zeppelin Loving band and they've just about always done a minimum of one or two Led Zeppelin songs in their shows. Even going back to the 1970s. So at the end of the Heart concert, they spent about 1/4 of the ending of their show and had Jason Bonham come out and play drums while they just did Led Zeppelin songs. Ann was on fire with her voice and I think this was maybe 2016? I've seen them a number of times opening for Journey so I can't remember exactly what year I last saw them right now. But I hate to hear she sounds like she's having trouble now and her voice sounded a little gravelly as well. I've always liked Ann and Nancy. And I've heard from some other friends that she hasn't been sounding as good but I didn't really think too much about it because I was blown away with how good she sounded all those other times. I figured she probably still sounded just about as good if not as good. It's kind of sad to see a lot of the artists we grew up listening to not able to do what they used to do. But it's only natural and I'm glad they are at least trying and not backtracking and letting recorded music fill in for them. I just read within the last week that heart has canceled the remaining shows in their tour. I think it was all of the shows. It had something to do with Ann Wilson and a medical procedure. They might have said that they were going to resume. I'm legally blind myself now and I didn't finish the whole article. Thanks for the videos.
