The guys were just tweaking the sights and Mike was getting familiar with the characteristics of this particular weapon piece. Also, Mike mentions the issue of wooden stock that was prone to damage in tropical environment, so it's possible that back in the days he was in army deployed overseas. Maybe Fring's primo fixer was a sniper?

For me, Breaking Bad is the greatest show of all time. I found the early seasons of BCS too slow-going but have loved all of the recent seasons
