Thanks! I use 10 CVs of the FH-2 & FHX-8CV. All without a problem so far. Probably more outs will work well too. And of course all the 8 CVs plus some Gates of the OXI Pipe.
Any chance we could get a little breakdown video with how this was sequenced? Guaranteed to be the most watched BIA explanation video if you do one! Me head is exploding trying to fathom what each step looks like. AMAZING work!!
Thank you for your request! I am afraid that probably only a few users control the BIA with an OXI ONE and the rest would therefore not understand the exact instructions. Are you using BIA with an OXI ONE?
Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I don't know of any substitute for the BIA, certainly not with the small footprint of only 10 HP and the massive sound and modulation capabilities. If you don't own a BIA, I would try to get a used one.
If you are still looking for a BIA some retailers still have them available. They just got discontinued so they are still floating around in stores if you look around. The Manis Iteritas is also "discontinued" but I was able to pick one up online at my usual synth retailer. I'd get one soon though because eventually they are going to be really hard to come by and probably over $400 even used. If you want something similar to BIA you could try something like the Erica Synths x Sonic Potions LXR-02 eurorack module. I have one and it's pretty awesome. It's about $500 and it's a bit more HP, but you get 7 drum voices, built in effects and a TON of CV control. It's not exactly like BIA but if you are looking for a drum voice that is a beast at techno then the LXR-02 is probably the next best thing. You could easily play an entire set with just the LXR because it has 3 bass voices, that are really flexible as well as a bunch of other drum voices. You can also save your drum kits to an SD card. It's not sample based either which is nice, it's truly a drum synth so all your drums can be programmed in depth to taste! It leans heavily on the techno side of things too and that's why I'd suggest it if you can't find a BIA. I have both BIA and LXR and either one would treat you well I'm sure!!
Great! I love the BIA. OXI ONE seems to be key to this, how easy is it to copy a step with all the settings so you can maintain the patterns and slowly evolve them over the track? Seems like it was quite a lengthy process?
Thank you, Jason! The complexity of BIA control with the OXI ONE depends on how many parameters you want to modulate and how dense your pattern is. As mentioned in the description, I modulate 6 parameters: Pitch/Trig/Vel (all in one step), Attack, Decay, S/L/M, Morph and Harm. That means I need to copy and modify 6 steps that are aligned vertically. It took me quite a while to get used to it. However, once you've completed the first 16 steps, you can easily copy them all onto the next 16, up to a maximum of 128. You can also save patterns to use again in another project. In addition, there are 2 internal LFOs and up to 8 internal modulation lanes for influencing parameters. By the way, I use the Expert Sleepers FH-2 to get more than 8 CV outputs from the OXI for other modules.

This is really cool! But please put an epilepsy warning in. I’m not epileptic, but am photosensitive and despite the awesome visual effects this one was hard to watch. Good listen, hard watch
This is bomb !! !💣
Thank you!!!
I knew it was technically possible, but I've never seen anyone doing it for real. Amazing.
Hello Robert, I am honored to hear this from YOU!
@@klaus_obermaier Seriously, I heard many variations, but never a complete arrangement. You've probably taken it as far as it can possibly get.
@@CinematicLaboratory Thanks! I'm really glad you like it.
Unbelievable! Crazy. Great work!
Thanks! I'm pleased.
Crazy that all this is coming from one BIA, super motivating to practice more with mine :)
Thanks, it's definitely worth it!
this is awesome, how many cv outs you can get with Expert Sleepers FH-2 and OXI ONE?

insane
Thanks, Diego!
I cannot honestly say I have heard more from a single BIA. I am actually at a loss for words. This is truly just great.
Thanks a lot!
this is great !
Merci!
👏👏👏

We’d like to see anyway, since the logic could be applied to different setups- 5is is amazing
@@klaus_obermaier i'm using BIA with an OXI ONE, i'm really interested in a breakdown video please!
@@pablobarria296 Let's see what I can do when I find time 🙂
@@marcokelso I'll try it when I find some free time
Great job squeezin it for all it’s got.
wow man this is genius
Thanks, Imre!
Bloody awesome! Love your work. Unfortunately the BIA has been discontinued. What could possibly replace the BIA?

Alright, maybe the Modbap Trinity? But it is 20hp.

Very nice. I've used a Voltage Block with the BIA to similar effect, but the OXI here definitely gives you tons of power!

Very clever use of the Oxi to modulate the BIA. must give that a try
