I have a 12 year old avacado tree that I bring in each winter. It’s about 10 feet tall. I would suggest pruning your tree just above the bottom 3-4 leaves. @howtogrowfromseed I'm in SW Europe in a "subtropical" zone so we get very mild winters and very long, humid summers. We are in summer currently. It won't rain again for months but the humidity will stay above 70-80% (I'm on a small peninsular so surrounded by sea 😄). I'd expect it to be crispy if it was sunburned but it's curled, brown and soft. Maybe I overwatered it? I'm not fertilising it at all since it still has its seed to take nutrients from, but I do give it tap water. I could try giving it distilled water instead?

Where did you get that info don't fertilizer the first 3yrs I have fertilizer avocados trees after 3months n never had no issues so that's incorrect info
Hi Jose, some experts recommend not fertilizing avocado trees in the first year. After that, use a balanced citrus tree fertilizer, and follow manufacturer instructions. However, in my experience up the three years the fertilizer may burn the leaves, conservatively after the third years the tree and its root system is strong anough to take on all that salt.
Funny i don't quite understand this over watering thing. Mine are literally sitting only in water for over 2 years now & they are fine. I also now have them on the bathroom window sill where it gets plenty of humidity. When the water level in the jars go down i just top it back up with fresh tap water.
If what you say is true then all of your avocado leaf would show the same symptoms. But not all of your leaves show the same symptoms. Why? Please take a look at my video “do you have burn avocado leaves”where I put the leaves under a microscope and you see the difference between a healthy leave in a burn leaf . I think you will find the answer very interesting and there is a solution to fix this.

Some link for example www.fiskars.com/en-us/gardening-and-yard-care/ideas-and-how-tos/pruning-and-trimming/how-to-care-for-avocado-trees
Funny i don't quite understand this over watering thing. Mine are literally sitting only in water for over 2 years now & they are fine. I also now have them on the bathroom window sill where it gets plenty of humidity.
When the water level in the jars go down i just top it back up with fresh tap water.
Look for root rotting my friend. Just be careful 😊

It's normal the leaves fall out
Do not let your dog piss on the tree.
personal experience there? lol 🤭
That was my worry too. Got a lot of dogs around.
Thanks for the input, That's exactly what happened to my plant.
What a video doesn’t make sense at all
Hi Ryan, I really appreciate your time for watching the video. We would all learn something maybe if you could expand on why it "doesn't make sense at all"?
@@howtogrowfromseed You just list every issue a tree could die from. But not all of them could cause leaf turning brown. For example, overwater will not turn leaf brown, if you ever seen any overwater plant
What would then be the first sign of overwatering a plant? If you google this: "first sign of an overwatered plant" what does come up?
You don’t know? You need google? Lol. Don’t send videos about things you just “heard” of
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing.❤
