- Footage from Apedale Valley Light Railway ‘Tracks To The Trenches 3’ event on Friday 13th July 2018
It featured a verity of period steam locos including Hunslet 1215 (fresh from being restored), Baldwin 778 and German Henschel 1091. Also taking part were a large number of internal combustion locos inclusing a large number of Simplex Locos of different shapes and sizes
See my other films for more footage including the field railway and other exhibits which were present
Some lovely steam locomotives there
wonderful to see...I was on the team restoring Loco 303
thanks for uploading, looked a fantastic time there
Fantastic!
12:24 that is my all-time favorite locomotive
Thats a Baldwin 10-12-D
Nice video.
Thanks, was a brilliant event
Good vid and when you go there another time say hi to Andreas and Stanley for me k?
does anyone know the dimensions of the brigadelok please. length width and cab height? I have recently purchased the minitrains version and I assumed it was 1:87th scale HOe , but when stood next to my other HOe locos like the 0.6.0. henschel by roco and the liliput o and k 0.4.0. shunter it looks very tall in the cab , but looks fine next to the Bachmann Baldwin 4.6.0. I have modelled in HOe for over 30 years and still have my old roco and liliput zillertahl models which are all HOe and look to scale . but the brigadelok and Baldwin look oversize to some degree ... any info would by gratefully excepted cheers.
I can only assume that there was real ale on offer in the white tent?
Why does those 2 locomotives remind me of Stanley and And Andreas from the stories of sodor 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🤣🤣🤣
Cuz the engines are there basis
Ewelina Najgebauer Oh I See And did you that Andres is based on 303 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You sure this is 3 ft. gauge? Before I read the description I thought it was most likely 60 cm./~24 in. ga., which is what most French trench warfare railways were built to. Also, where is this? My guess is Australia, maybe NZ, but probably not the UK?
Sorry if description not clear but it was the third Tracks To The Trenches event. The railway is 2 foot gauge and is in the UK near Stafford. Please let me know if you have any other questions
@@tbroyd Thank you.
