This song has always been a special one for me. Love every single note and every single word. Love every sweet and painful memory that come with it but the "move of destiny" and the" strummy solo section " are my most favorite parts and also the parts that I will unfortunately never be able to completely play. Regardless... this song will always a part of me.

Dude . The last thing I ever wanted to go do was to find this tuning ? only because it bugged me ? after surfing around and dying of boredom ? I find you ? very nice job my friend ? it's smart and funny and kind ? things like strumming patterns etc ? I'm interested in but I do love how you say '' find your own way "" or something like that ? which is kind and the truth , I play for a living and have for a very long time lol ? I just dig the fact you got this right and I love your

then capo 2 - i thought about this but then E string would be awfully wobbly
@@RyanLendt it's not too bad wobbly , I tried CGDGGD and it wasn't too bad. Of course you'd need a capo to play with the record but if you're just playing yourself it seems to work.

I think I've previously seen teachers suggest getting the B string up to an E or replace the B string with a second E. Your tuning is much better!

Ryan I figured out a campfire version if you wanna try? Standard tuning, capo 2nd fret , start on G cord keeping your ring and pinky fingers in place and walk G to 2nd fret E string to C E D C , then the Diddy hammer ons are in that C that is played like G , does this make sense? I love your campfire versions so I thought you'd like to try this way. Then there's no tuning, I can try to explain more if I'm not making sense lol, 🙃 🤘🏻 rock on
Im trying to play like this. There is a cover of this song by some dude on youtube who gives it a country twist. He plays it like that and it sounds 🔥
Attention Ryan. If that works we definitely need a campfire version 😜 That tuning sounds a bit to much for my ol acoustic to stand. I shall have to try capoing it.

I’ve been teaching guitar for 21 years and am very critical of other teachers. You just taught this so well that I was able to memorize the whole video. When I pick up my guitar in a few minutes I’ll know how to play it. Outstanding job.
It should be mentioned Johnny actually used DAEAEE, he replaced the B string with high E cos tuning B way up to E will break the string
And that's why Johnny travels with about a dozen and a half guitars. 😂
