Why would you allow your friend to borrow a car with these issues?
Yeah, id sue him
@@hyphydan Ya can`t sue if u are 6 feet under.
Probably because he really didn't feel like they were issues, and only filed the report after the death as he was grasping for straws to cope with the idea that his car was in an accident that killed his friend and their whole family.
So true. Why allow someone to borrow.
@emilioaymat5651 ya all family can 🙄
Why would you loan your car to a buddy to drive his whole family around if you knew the steering was glitching out?
I'm assuming that co-worker and the family weren't actually that close i.e. an actual friend wouldn't lend a faulty car to another friend, especially one with steering problems for f***'s sake.. yikes..
If anyone bought a Vinfast your IQ is not all there.
Why you even buy a car made by unknown manufacturer? specially a EV
TESLA remains as the SAFEST Vehicles ever made, and MADE in America.
😁 Fan boy
Crashes happen with Teslas also. Don't matter.
@@markplott4820 Alot of Teslas blow up. Do your research.

Dont drive a noname car Vinfast if you want keep your family’s life. I wonder why NHTSA allowed this car on road even they not passed crash test.
I dont trust on cars with 90% computer taking control of all driving
then YOU never Driven TESLA w/ FSD V12.3.
My questions are: 1) Why were they driving with lane assist on? 2) Why were they not taking over control when the car was driving towards the tree? 3) Did they confuse lane assist with full self driving? 4) why did the co-worker hand over a car that he felt was unsafe and not familiar with the features of the car?
1. Car’s steering wheel turned towards right even if the lane assistance is turned off, that’s the car owner’s complaint
2. Electric vehicle if you are driving without any prior experience, it’s hard to realize what’s happening and react. I do own both gas and tesla
I tell you why : when you buy a car think twice how long long this car been drive in the US. or the world, they can't control , the car already have problem, look up the review, Vietnamese people in town they not even support , they don't want to risk their life even leasing
Software error and crash safety faulty. The vinfk cars in VN also auto drive itself from full stop and cause multiple critical accidents. Vinfkgroup are protected by Communist Goverment so all accidents will be deleted from all news and any social network accounts. Anyone trying to share will be branded as traitor. Even this fatal one, noone in Vietnam is aware of it.
Family of two children inside of car speeding that fast??
Crash to a tree burst in flame... definitely something wrong with the car
Andrew Le working for VinFast said that " The driver was using dope and was carrying explosive in the car."
Flame killed all 4 people in minutes. Yes, something wrong with the car.
people in clown vinfast car were killed 2 times. first dead when strong impacted to oak tree and second dead on flame due to lithium battery pack get fired.

After the accident, the owner filed a complaint claiming that the car was veering to the right? It sounds like the owner just implicated themselves in this tragedy.
Also EV fires reigniting is a common danger.
It is a typical preemptive legal move
@@APMC100interesting info... may I ask how preemptive move will protect owner of car? Thanks
@@Lee-vb4vh if your car has an "issue" with the steering, do you let your friend drive it?
@@APMC100 Thanks for question. IMHO, it depends if I inform friend of car issue and proper way to use lane assist system. I think there are specific procedures to properly using such systems. For example, using cruise control requires proper attention and caution that a beginner driver would not have skills to safely use. In this case, I wonder if the car owner is now partly responsible for not "teaching" his friends on using lane assist. Thus I'm worried the owner could be financially responsible. Thanks for any suggestions.
@@Lee-vb4vh that’s exactly what I’m thinking but don’t want to say it out for respect to all parties and the fact that this was a terrible tragedy. But if I read correctly that the owner filed a complaint to NHTSA after the accident, one cannot help but wonder if this was a “legal move” to mitigate the liability.
Why would anybody buy a Vinfast car? They made that car within 2-3 years of starting the EV auto business...

They have their technology to produce their own EV cars. Meanwhile, Vinfast doesn't even have the technology of their own. Vinfast isn't a EV manufacturer but a EV assembly.
Very sorry for the family. Anyone buying an EV from a new company in Vietnam should know better but I’m sure Gavin Newsom is very proud of his push for more unproven EV’s.
the owner knows the car has a steering wheel problem that can be life-threatening, so why loan it to a friend? The owner didn't take it seriously, so it may not be that bad of a concern, so also the borrower wasn't serious.

Lets wait and see what the full investigation determines rather than a bunch of people speculating on the comments here. If its a safety defect then they must fix it and compensate. If its something else lets wait and see. Even with adaptive cruise control and lane assist steering on, the driver must keep hands on steering wheel and eyes on road all the time. I dont know that street and lane markings there, but any car using autosteer (not just EV's but ICE cars too with that feature), use the car cameras to steer but if the lane marking are all skewed or not marked or overwritten by construction markings or lanes splicing towards forks ahead the systems cameras get unsure and rely on driver taking over. Not defending the car brand here but terrible accidents happen with every make regularly. Even teslas. but much more attention given to EV's that make national news for the relative much fewer times they are involved in bad accidents, whereas regular cars getting into them daily all over the country arent splashed onto the media.
From what I understand of Vinfast, they are like the Yugo of electric vehicles. With so many options from dedicated EV companies like Tesla or Lucid, combined with too many to think models from very established car companies like Ford, GM, Nissan, Audi, BMW, Volvo, etc. I would think that Vinfast would have gone out of business by now. It's not like their offerings are bargains even when compared to EV models from Hyundai or Kia! Sadly for the family, loved ones, and friends of these 4 who passed away, their lives were taken too soon showing that this car probably has some major issues that were never worked out before putting these on the road.

So I'm guessing we're in the part of the investigation commonly known as "It has to be someone else's fault so we can sue them". Do we know the driver wasn't distracted in some way? Even if there was problems with "lane assist" if your hands are on the wheel lane assist isn't going to out muscle you to move the car where you don't want it to go. Not to discredit a car problem did this, I mean it is easier to blame technology especially when it's made by a relatively unknown company, but watching people drive distracted driving is probably far more possible as a reason, maybe in conjunction with lane assist problems, I mean how many Tesla drivers have been seen letting the car drive itself?
Tesla is American made company, here car made in vietname . I read many review not support to dirve, but you choose too
