Gosh Tony, so much you can plant in the bed now. I am currently planting loads of brassicas as second crops, Kale cavalo nero cabbage red and savoy, cauliflower broccoli, beetroot spring onions, Lettuce, Just sowed dwarf french beans and Peas in the tunnel last week, will be sowing chantenay carrots in the tunnel shortly, more leeks to be planted outside yet..I know I have missed many things here, but in my eyes, this time of year its like a second spring...😁👍🌱

I harvested my walla walla onions yesterday and chopped them up and got them drying in my food dryer. That way I can enjoy them all year. I also cut up all the tops off them and are drying them too. They look like giant chive rounds. Will be doing the same thing with my purple onions and tops and my shallots and green onions too. That way I can use them all year also. They also dont take much room when dried. Also pulled and dried my spinach too. Dry spinach works so good in cooking dishes, as it adds no water to your frittata or lasagna. 😁

love the simplicity! I was over here tryna couple pvc bits for a top-hinged lambo-style doorway, just straight faff for days. love this weighted hanging net idea.

I agree the things we have to build can be so frustrating, just to save the plants from the birds.. Thank you for a great video.. Loved it

You and Reed got a lot done! Looks great! You were looking for a place to plant your Brussels sprouts and you have a lot of bits and pieces started. I'd get all of that in the ground and plant up the rest with your seeds. Your tomatoes are looking soooo good!

I'm about to cut back my chard too. Using my beetroot tops as a green atm. Steam or roast the roots. My dwarf beans are so cute and really growing fast. I'm dead chuffed too.

Still my favourite channel for gardening, and recommending it to all my garden loving friends. The bark pathways and very neat netting with roll up sides makes the whole plot look amazing.... saw the netting idea on little garden quest channel but the bigger version, never thought to scale it down to a smaller bed so thank you I’ll certainly be giving that a whirl ...

Quality red onions! carrots have come on nicely and as for the potato forest lookin good. I would pop a batch of beetroot, spring onion, and salad in the ex-pea bed so it comes up for free for garlic in October....soooo much planning. But it’s all looking good from all that rain...can’t wait to see the tomatoes getting ripe. Tell us about the flavour pls...I agree on sun gold...mmmm. So far very few have made it back to the house...s

My brother William, and my nephew are going to make a couple of those net covers for our garden to keep starlings and wood pigeons out. Do you know how to keep squirrels out? That's a nice stone wall near your fruit bushes. Thanks for showing us the nets you made. It's nice that your son spends time with you and shares your hobby at times. Keep well, v

Going back to the raspberries Tony, cut this years canes and tie next years fruiting canes, the new canes are lighter green. I get my seeds from premier seeds, very good price and quality, really cheap postage too x

No bugs or slugs on my brassicas. However mice ate every last strawberry then moved in and ate every Brussels sprout plant. Here’s me thinking they’re fine under the nets. Never underestimate a mouse. What is in your soil in that polytunnel? Rocket fuel?
