Thank you John for the donation toward making such great content. Another must mod besides the multi connector and improved linkage/control horn that HH should have done is separating the nose wheel steering from rudder channel so steering can stop when gear is retracted. In stock form it leads to premature death of the steering servo.
There could actually be a grain of truth to the claim that yellow ones always fly better. At least we tend to fly them more precisely because they are easier to see. Thanks for the demo.
I love the honesty of your channel. A lot of these companies sell a lot of fluff and biased opinions as fact when there not. Your channel says what the majority of people are thinking but afraid to say. If companies knew what is good for them, they would take your content seriously.
just to clarify - Free Bird was a 70's song. In the 60's the pilots were likely blasting In a Gadda Da Vida or perhaps Cups and Cakes or Listen to the Flower People by Spinal Tap...
@@TailHeavyProductions understood - and I countered with the Spinal Tap reference as they happened in the 80's IRL (but in the 60's in the narrative arc). May have been too obtuse though - I've been accused of that before. Indicted but not convicted is always my goal.
I always brush my foam planes with several thin coats of ZEP wet look floor wax, with a foam brush. It helps with wiping off dust that will otherwise grind into the epo foam. It also helps with minor hanger rash. But I like it for making it look shiny and sharp. I get many compliments at the field how new it always looks.
I've had this same Trojan since 2020 but in the OG red and white navy skin, but I also went even a step further... I not only did away with the two bladed stock prop... I bought a Biela (only sold in germany afaik) semi scale composite reinforced wood core prop with custrom paintjob to look like a hamilton standard triblade you find on most US radial engine warbirds. that also combined with a Robbe 130A opto-esc to have plent of redundancy when spinning such a prop and opto making the ESC run of a sepparate battery circuit to prevent the servos from getting signal interference. never had thermal throttling or servo flutter issues that way. that being said, I haven't done serious Aerobatics with it because I don't trust myself enough to do it and not total it in a crash. I once attempted to go inverted at high altitude but cucked out half way going inverted. A magnificent RC bird either way, and a great entry model if you are looking into flying semi-scale models
I'm so glad to see the capital from all of those TShirt sales is going directly to awesome production big budget items. Like U-Hauls 😂 Its also refreshing to see the landing gear on HHs $600+ T28 models jiggle around like the 1.2m BNF T28- the model i can afford after stocking up on THp TShirts and decals (Which are Awesome!!!) Love your videos- SICK save over the pickle ball courts, man!! Really love your merch! Thanks for brightening a very windy/gusty/crappy Saturday, for below average rc pilots like me 👍
Love the T-28, have the original parkzone, and the erm bigger HH one but not the biggest HH one, love em, great flying, had an FMS one and sold it as I needed the space. Yellow planes I've found don't fly better, but are easier to say and repair just the same! I'd love the Carbon Z
OH MY GAWD!!! This must be one of your most greatest videos to date! I completely enjoyed this one, from start to finish. And OH, BTW, what exactly was Bayley doing at about 05:32 in the video? It appears as though he was trying to get a bit LESS Tail Heavy 🤣😂! All the best to my lunatic friends in the Granite State, I hope you all are surviving the early Spring snow!! (OH...and THANKS JOHN in TEXAS!!!) 😎👍
@@CalebT_RC John was awesome from the start. Said to have fun with it and even if it crashes in the process that he wouldn't care. So we made sure to have fun. 😁
I would be concerned with overstressing the barely capable 70 Amp ESC with that 16x8 3 blade. The ESC should have been a 90 or 100 AMP. Also the gear should have been trailing link for that money and as you pointed out the eight servo wires should have been into two from the factory. I have upgraded my gear, the servo wires (thanks to Thunderbolt) and will be upgrading the ESC and the prop as mentioned. I installed a 15x8 3 blade and got 68 AMPS at 9200. That is closer than I like to be already. It is a fabulous plane that we will make even better.
I have a question. I've recently built the Phoenix waco. I've mounted a saito fg90r3 with a 24x12 prop, that saito recommended. But it leaves only 2 inches ground clearance . I'm on my 3rd prop now. My question is what size 3 blade can i run? If I run a 3 blade do I stick to the fuel of down one and up 3???? So do I need a 23 x14 if I use a 3 blade HELP..........
Brings you back to the 1960, where T28 pilots flew on questionable drugs and blasting freebird thru there airpods. Truly, theres nothing like it". 😂 laughing for 15 min, what a qoute ! 😂😂 You got yourself a free out of hell card, just remind me off it if you ever find yourself needing it.
The full-scale T-28 is rather awful (ugly, slow, has a flatulent-misfire engine note) but the Carbon Z T-28 is a scream. I need to look around for a used one - $600 is a boatload of dinero for a flying beer cooler, no matter how cool. One question - were the beach shots taken in or around Rye, NH? I lived up there while I was counsel for PlaneSense, a Part 91K fractional program that operates a fleet of PC-12's and 24's out of Pease. Great videos.

What is the improved linkage/control horn that you are talking about and where can I get this part? Thanks for your help!!!
Thank you John for your donation of this T-28. People like you are what makes this hobby so great.
THANK YOU JOHN 🎉🎉🙏🙏!!
also, it might be nice to see some more float content (aka turn T-28 into floatplane 😆😆)

My vote still has to go to a t-28 biplane. Also, that was by far the best save I've ever seen in RC

1:48 beautiful save! Holy hell!

Flying out of the uhaul was epic. Love the way you wring out all the good and bad with this aircraft. Bounce one off for me.
Thanks John. Great video fellas!

Impecable video production and editing. Awesome review as always. Keep on doing great videos guys..!
4:03 @TailHeavyProductions maybe the "i dropped a wing" shirt should have the plane banked 90*
This is a great ad. I love mine, thankfully in the red and white.
Fun fact if post in 7 days you will post directly on my birthday just got a gas OV-10 and ultra stick but yeah great videos -MrPoland RC

You should totally enable reverse thrust and do a backyard landing...
Taildragger T-28
Great video, like always! 😀 Please convert it to a tail dragger! 😎
Bush conversion please 😊!!
Thanks, John! Love hearing the THP snarky review 😂
How do you know which prop to use for better performance or efficiency?
That was a sick save guys! And a true blue pucker-up-the-b-hind moment. Keep these awesome reviews/videos coming. Never a boring minute.
You should put and edf on the other one
John is the boss!
Love the video, can I please get a link to where you got your prop?
Good onya John.
Another great vid guys! Hey what beach is this?
I just did a video on installing 2 6s 6000s in this plane. Can't tell any difference with the extra battery but now get 16 min flights.

Sick! 😎 Although on the ground, it reminds me of a newborn baby deer on it's little stick legs for the first time😆
Flying out the back of a truck? Creative lmao!
Also that save at the beginning was incredible😅
My favorite instructor always said...fly the plane to the crash site. Thank LORT there wasn't a crash site with that incident LOL. -Zach

How did you turn off the AS3X?
Send me one as well John , Thank u so much !!
If the ad says it's capable of 3d, why not? 😂
And thanks John!
suPER Super stol conversion. Like wing cube loading under 4 please :D
Can you please review the super ez 1200mm
I'd like to see you re-paint it, with paintballs, spray paint, and pneumatic sprayers in flight
Twin edf T-28! Make it look like an airliner 😂
Thanks, John!! 🎉🎉
Try a carrier landing with it. Figure it out
I was entertained
Let’s gooo
Thanks, John.
Mid range FPV craft. Can you get it a couple miles away and back
Guys you HAVE to try the umx ultrix. For me its one of the best planes ever
you should let jay crash it
i fly fms bush pa 18 super cub,
do you think i can fly this?
I think so, yep! If you are consistently flying the Cub without issue.
It has a very clear canopy that just is begging for an FPV review
Bush conversion! Or fpv
Put it on floats!
Dogfight with paintball guns strapped to a T- 28 and a German warbird🛩
FPV headtracker?
Can we see a turbo raven 69 review?
The intro is epic ,now thats how good pilots take off😎😎
How tf did y'all save that from crashing on the "bull in a china shop" situation?? I was making the same noises y'all made 🤣🤣🤣
Forced slip approach is stabilized, just sideways 😂
Make it a Double EDF conversion a la me262
I always look forward to Saturday because I can watch the new THP while working on planes
A bush conversion would be exciting.
Btw., this review is an absolute masterpiece guys!
maybe a ....EDF T28 TROJOAN?
Rockets. Add lots of rockets!
yes my 3d war bird go fast but want plane go faster 👍

It will flat spin inverted. But the gear has to be out. Gear in it won’t do it
Yep - but who is going to think to normally try that? 😜
