    I got the small frame adapter today but there weren’t any instructions included, so your video was a great help to me. Thanks!

    Awww that makes more sense to me now! Thank you for the tutorial, my brain could not wrap itself around how that worked. 😁

    Hi Thanks for this it was really helpful. Do you have a long l bar attached to the stand and if not would a frame adapter work with one? I have super wide arms on my sofa and tend to use wide frames. Thanks!

      I still use qsnaps too! But for my really big projects the scroll frames are great and the adapter is a life saver to use those scroll frames

    Thanks for the tutorial. I have this stand and the large frame adapter. I am curious how you start and end threads when using the adapter? I have learned to use the diagonal pin stitch to start a thread, but I am still trying to find a good way to end the thread when I use this. I usually flip my project and run my thread under existing threads, but this method doesn't work very well with the large frame adapter.

      I do the same thing you do, and do not have any difficulty flipping the frame.

    I just purchased a Lowery stand for my HAED project. My scroll rods are 36” long. Will these adapters work? I also purchased the extra long “L” bar but not sure it’s needed. Could you give me your recommendations of what to us for this large project? Thank you!

    Thank you. I have the Quantum frame but mine has the side stretchers and the scroll bars are 31" (80cm) long. It's very heavy and I can't use it on my Lowery stand as it keeps tipping over even with a pillow propping it up. In your opinion, do you think the large frame adapter will solve my problem?

    What is the brand of and where did you get the Ipad holder? Thank you in advance.

    Does it not damage your work. Looks like the top is clamped directly onto the cross stitch already worked.

    • @gingergerald
      @gingergerald  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It does not cause any damage.

    Is there a benefit in getting the stainless steel stand vs the cheaper one?

    • @gingergerald
      @gingergerald  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I honestly do not know the answer to that question.

      No problem, seems no one does 🤷🏻‍♀️

      The company replied to me if you’re interested in the answer... I was trying to find information on the standard (silver-grey) or deluxe version (stainless steel) for the Lowery stands. I wanted to know the benefit of one to the other due to the considerable price difference. Since I could not find this information anywhere online, I emailed the company and wanted to share their response in case anyone else wanted to know.
      The Stainless Steel Workstand is the deluxe version and made entirely out of stainless steel so is slightly more robust. The L bar that fits into the upright and adjusts the height to hold your frame is 15mm as apposed to 12mm on the Silver Grey coated stand. The properties of stainless steel also mean it will cope better in humid environments.
      The Silver Grey and Coloured Workstands are made from a strong grade mild steel and powder coated. The Stainless Steel workstand is made from entirely the stainless steel appart from the base which is made from aluminium for all our stands due to its durability and light weight.

      @@donnac2420 thanks a lot Donna. I was wondering also about this difference. So I guess it is just a matter of price willing to spend on each version because if we live in a non corrosive ambiance as inland and not the shore .

    Hi, I just found this video. I purchased the large frame adapter to use with Qsnaps and I cannot figure out how to work on the left side of the clamp because of the interference from the stand and side clamp. If I slide it over, then it hangs over the edge of the couch. On your video your left side its stitched, but I work by color and need to go back and forth, any suggestions? Thank you.

    I was just wondering if you put something to protect the stitching and material where the clamps are holding your work

    • @gingergerald
      @gingergerald  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not, it’s on the back of the project so I have never worried about it before and have not had any issues

    I can’t decide what size side bar to get with my scroll frame. I am working on a large W project 31” , but am not sure on the side bars. Is the length of the side bars before or after they are extended, do you know? Btw, thanks for this vid. I will definitely need a large frame adapter for mine and it makes more sense now

    • @gingergerald
      @gingergerald  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The side bars are more for getting the frame over your couch/chair arm. So it depends on the thickness of that. I have both because I have different size chairs I switch between

    When I screw the clamps from the adapter onto my scroll frame it doesn’t tighten enough, so it “wobbles” - any suggestions?
