When my mama would go out I would cry for her bc I missed her I was in the 2nd grade. But my mama paid her dues and took care of us. I got to ride with her and I have good memories as well. Learned my lesson pulling LTL when I first started driving. Made it a habit to slap labels with delivery destination on front two pallets or 4 pallets if the load was double stacked for each pick up. Also prior to paying lumper I would ask to check my remaining pallets. Might sound like overkill but it saved me time and the headache of waiting longer to reload what shouldn’t have came off.
I feel the same as you if you can't speak English you don't belong on the road Indians have been on the road when I was out there 12 years ago and they were nasty the mechanics at repair shops hated to work on their trucks because they cut hole in floor and shit thru hole and the whole undercarriage was covered in shit what horrible mess Keep on trucking you and Bluebeast looking so good together and love watching your videos bring back lots of memories some good some bad but miss it don't get old it sucks

Lumper fees: unload, count, sort, and account for damage the truck driver did during transporting the pallets. Overage, short, damaged is all on the shipper count and receiver count. The driver just transported the goods unless stated on the BOL that the driver counted. The receiver needs to count what they requested and deny / return any extra product. It’s not the drivers responsibility for the count. Some places require the doors to stay shut and backed into the dock. I have a two drop load tomorrow and a single pallet for Monday in San Antonio….. I am sure it will ruin any home time I have planned (that’s trucking)

Honest question, I started driving back in 1981 and retired right before ELD's became mandatory. Back then only a couple of states like Commiefornia didn't allow us in the Hammer lane. When did all the rest of the states restrict us from the Hammer lane?
Driving I80. It was nothing to pass semi trucks all day. Yesterday. Was a different story. Here. I80. 75 mph speed limit. I set the cruise at 79 mph. Semi trucks were keeping up. One. Flew past me. Box trailer. As it went by. Smelled like rotten meat. Box trailer smelling like rotten meat. Figure that one out. Here. I have hwy 30. I am going to start using it and stay off of I80 as much as I can. It is extremely too dangerous. It's not like it was before 2020. Not because of vehicles. Because of semi trucks. They are also using both lanes. As in. Weaving all over the road. You can't pass most of them.
