Just came back from Capri. TAKE A TAXI!!!! Absolutely worth the cost if you value your time. Also visited Capri on a Tuesday and it was charming, lovely, and just the right amount of busy. Also strongly suggest taking the regular ferry and not the fast one. The time difference on the boards seems like a lot but in reality is negligible. Also the cost for the regular ferry is 1/3 the cost for the fast one and the regular ferry runs much later
We have been visiting Capri from 2016 - 2022 For the first few years it was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. It was undiscovered and special. Now the whole culture and mood of the island has been destroyed, probably forever. From Naples you could sit on the top deck, in 2016 there were literally a half dozen people on the top ferry deck. Even Greece is much nicer now. Thank you for your video!❤
I went to Capri at the end of April 2024. Your advice is very helpful. It wasn’t clear where the tickets were for the funicular ( just from the signs). Many people were in line without a ticket. The wait wasn’t too long, but it still was very crowed in Capri. We took a walk up in the hills in the neighborhood which was perfect-fewer people, beautiful views and even a cafe ( with prices in the menu). Very short wait to go back down to the port. Can’t imagine going in high season.
Skip Capri, go streight to Anacapri by taxi and check beautiful Villa San Michele. Great restaurants! And then on chairlift to Monte Solara. Town of Capri is seriously overrated.
@@anutrivedi2608 Thank you for watching my video. For the Funicolare, the tickets both locketed near the Ferries both, the right side of the port. Make sure to buy them before waiting in line. For the Chair Lift you buy the ticket in the entrance of the attraction. This attraction is in Anacapri. I didn't been in the blue grotto but you will find on the website everything you need.
Yes, there are at least two bathrooms at Marina Grande. One just a couple of meters to the right of the funiculare. Hope this helps. I visited Capri in July and it's always the first thing i check..are there enough public bathrooms 😅
where do you recommend to stay as a base when visiting capri, sorrento, amalfi, positano, pompeii? Naples or Sorrento or somewhere else? We have rented a car but will park at the accommodation and use the ferry instead?
We have been in Naples for entire week, we drove and used the Ferries as well. Rent a hotel room outside of Naples it will be much cheaper and parking will be free while in Naples the parking in the hotels cost money. In the morning drive to city and park in a parking lot near the Naples main station 18 Euro per day and use the public transportation for any destination you want 😀
Hello this video really helps me… I plan to go with my husband to capri very soon … I’m from India.. I want to know is it too expensive for the whole day trip to capri because we will be take train from Rome to Naples and it’s a Saturday… I just want to know if it’s worth it going through so much please help me
Hello, thanks for watching our Video. I recommend you to choose a different destination like Positano or Sorrento, Which you can reach by ferry from Naples. Capri Island was to busy for us and we been there on September
I’m pretty sure they can just take a train from Rome and stopping in one of the destinations. We took a taxi from Rome to Positano and it was a beautiful ride although expensive using a private driver. Otherwise we took the train all across the country of Italy.
We just took a train from Rome to Naples and the ferry to Capri. The fast ferry is ~50 euros for 2 people. The train ride was ~28 euros. We had lunch for about ~20 euros including sandwiches, drinks, and gelato. We went on a Tuesday in May

I appreciate your honesty. I love traveling, but I hate the crowds
I agree with you, this is why we never travel in the summer

Thank you 😊 I'm happy to hear I helped
I love your tips, and such a fun presentation! I appreciate you buying something at every location so we can learn from your mistakes 😁
Thank you
Thank you for making this video. I live close to the sugar sand beaches of Florida's West Coast, and I had to laugh at this "beach"
I am so glad I saw Capri in 1969!!! As it should have been seen...

Capri still look like beauty island 🎉
It is beautiful 😍

May I ask what restaurant you recommend in AnaCapri, I'd like to follow your advice, going in the fall, thank you.
Thank you for this video, it made me decide to not go in the weekend. Your such a nice couple!

Great informative video ! Thank you. Question- were there bathrooms at the marina ferry drop off, and the funicular area?

Nice video I have a question, don't all coffee shops advertise the price on purpose to cheat?
Some of the places in Capri don't advertise the prices

Where do you store your belongings when swimming? Are they secure from being stolen?
@@LinaShasha-e2l On the private clubs they offer lockers, I personally took it with me to the beach.
Did you take the ship excursion or arrange your own trasportation to Capri?

you two are so cute :)

Talking about the crowds without mentioning what month you went. Cmon. Such important info to not include... January I guess?

They said September clear as day in the video. Listen better or with headphones so you can intake all the info offered
